I could not help but want to keep buying, fixing, and selling cars! Before I knew it my demo was fast running out, and I knew I had to get this game!
You start with a garage and parking lot, renting out cars in your lot, and fixing up cars, keeping them clean to rent or sell, or improving them through body work and other upgrades.
People drive by with cars to sell in various conditions. You don't have to worry too much about the prices, as you can resell a car for the same price you bought it for, or improve it to sell it for more. The price is fixed based on the condition, so you don't have to pay too much attention to the actual price, and can be assured you'll make money by improving the cars and reselling or renting them out.
The story is quick and enjoyable...you really want to see Kate succeed!
I recommend this game!

A lot of fun building and growing a town. Figuring out what to build next and how to accomplish your goals kept me interested through the demo.
Based on other reviews I may wait to catch this on a special, but it is definitely on my list to own!
I recommend this game!

This is a hidden object game, with lots of mini games thrown in. The hidden objects were fairly hard to find, often small, but Santa sits in the bottom right corner and is very generous with his hints, even in challenge difficulty.
I played some in challenge, and some in casual, and found the hidden object list does change from game to game, adding some replay value to the game.
The mini games were generally very easy, including small puzzles, a match two "concentration" type game, rotate tiles to complete a picture, and others.
Hidden object scenes require some mousing around, as certain items are hidden behind other objects, which must be opened/moved to reveal the object. Some objects trigger a pop up mini-mini game where you play a sort of "Santa Roulette" to win extra points.
Points are scored for finishing fast, for not using too many hints, for finding hidden snowmen which start appearing several scenes in, and for playing the Santa Roulette, among other things.
The story revolves around a group of kids who win a trip to the North Pole, and is definitely a nice cheery story for the Christmas season.
The Advent Calendar lets you open a window after each scene and discover some small prize behind the window, but did not really add anything to the game, besides being a cute added touch of Christmas.
For me, I felt the hidden object scenes were too difficult, while the story was geared towards younger players. I still recommend giving the game a try, and seeing for yourself if it is for you!
I recommend this game!

A great combination of Match 3, Time management, and Strategy, this game won me over despite my general dislike of TM games.
The customers don't get too impatient too quickly, giving you time to play the match three and light up some stoves to cook orders.
Matching three lights the stoves under the match, and the tiles drop down often forming more matches on the way. Cooking the food means placing it on the lit stoves, regardless of what tiles are currently sitting on the lit stoves, those tiles will reappear after the food is cooked and the underlying stoves are turned off again.
Match 4 to light up a whole row, Match 5 for bonus upgrade coins, and there are other special matches to make things more interesting.
The time management element didn't feel so bad given that customers were reasonably patient. You had time to fill orders without worrying that your customers were all about to bail on you.
Buying upgrades is a huge part of the fun in between levels. There are new recipes, restaurant decor, and special items all to upgrade and help you do even better making money for the restaurant.
Occasionally the whole restaurant changes, but the game is the same, just new tile sets, some more upgrades to buy, and more fun to be had.
Side games came every 4 to 6 levels and were a welcome break from the match 3 rounds. They included puzzle rounds of matching the food to the ovens, and hidden object scenes "I lost my banana peel, can you find it for me?"
It didn't take finishing the whole demo for me to know this game was a good buy, my only worry is that I'm going to finish the 70 or so levels too fast, and have nothing more to do but earn all those difficult trophies to call myself a true pizza chef master!
I recommend this game!

A solitaire card game with a single type of game, many different layouts but plays the same. Attempt to play cards one higher or one lower than the "base card" which reveals new cards to play in the stacks of cards.
Run out of plays, and you turn over a new base card from the deck, and continue. Rewards are given for playing well, and playing fast, including power ups such as "undo" and a play any card option. Occasionally extra spare base cards are given and can be stored for later use.
A whack a mole (or don't whack the mole actually, whack the quack doctors!) mini game comes up occasionally to earn extra deck cards
At least two, and later three games must be played for each patient, with the idea being to clear enough cards to collect stars, and collect enough stars to diagnose the patient
The humor is good with the various afflicted patients all have strange and funny disorders. There are trophies to collect and a patient board to allow revisiting patients to collect further stars.
After playing 40 minutes of the demo I felt tired with the solitaire game itself. and as that is the base of the game, the rest of the game surrounding it wasn't enough to make it worth a buy for me.
I definitely recommend giving the demo a whirl though, and seeing for yourself if maybe the game is for you!
I recommend this game!

I found the game to be excellent. It keeps me thinking and I play until my poor brain burns out, and come back for more later!
I have just a couple complaints about the game. I did not like the hint system. It is really no different than just taking a guess and risking a mistake, in that the hint only reveals one tile, and the hint tells nothing about the logic you'd use to figure out how that tile should have gone.
My other complaint is that some of the puzzles seemed to have no single logical deductions you could use to figure out any more tiles, at which point I had to use "what if" deductions, imagining that a certain tile was either blank or filled, and then trying to finish the puzzle based on that guess (without actually marking the tiles because that would cause mistakes!!) and unfortunately the game gives no way to use "what if" deductions. Basically you'd either have to try and do it all in your head, or write down the puzzle on paper to try and deduce that way.
Fortunately I've only encountered a small handful of those puzzles so far, and I'm only currently a third of the way through the game.
All in all though, the game is a great value, and I'm very pleased I decided to pick it up!
I recommend this game!

I was excited by the original idea and really wanted to like this game, however, the hidden object scenes were very frustrating and overly difficult.
You are given the victim at the start of the case, and the first couple HO scenes are the crime scene and victim's "lair" as victims in one case can be murders in another.
After that you have to figure out and guess where you'll find other useful HO scenes. Guess wrong, and you'll do a HO scene for no useful clues.
Since there was no click penalty I found myself randomly clicking at times, as I waited for the hint button to recharge again.
I hoped to get to the end of my first case playing the demo, but after four frustrating HO scenes I couldn't bear to go on. Even on sale I have to pass on this game.
I don't recommend this game.
