I really love the Edge of Reality series from 4 Friends and this third installment is just as fantastic as Edge of Reality: Ring of Destiny (2016) and Lethal Predictions (2017).
The game begins showing what appears to be a man's hand who leaves a bassinett on the doorsteps of an orphan’s house back in 1895 with only a ripped photo of your parents and a casino chip. That very casino led you to Azara Gambler’s Paradise years later! Could your father be the one who left you at the orphanage? Will you find the answers to your questions about your birth parents when you enter the Azara Casino tournament? I have been eagerly waiting for a sequel to this series and Edge of Reality: Fatal Luck really surpassed my expectations because of how innovative and original the story and gameplay is for this edition to the trilogy. I definitely think this game and the series in general will be a "fan favorite" for those who love 4 Friends and I give this installment a five star rating. Cheers!
I recommend this game!

Elephant's Mystery Tracker saga began 8 years ago and this is the fourteenth edition of their popular series. With so many games in this long running Detective Mystery, it's obvious that some fan's are less than enthusiastic with this latest release which explains the mixed reviews thus far. The developer's at Elephant seem to understand this conundrum since they give game club members the option of eliminating the use of "Elf the dog" in the game. Past reviews of previous games in the series have shown that some casual gamer's just don't care for a helper throughout the game; some even find it annoying. I'm actually ambivalent about "Elf" but I did opt to include him for this release...
You play the role of Detective Emily Patterson who's on a quest to once again venture into a parallel world thru a space-time continuum device in order to track down Professor Xiao (pronounced Zow). The local citizens of Blackhill deduce the origin of an army of Shadow Monster's with some experiments Professor Xiao has been carrying out in his mansion on the outskirts of town. Find out the truth from Sophie, save the citizens of Blackhill, save your father, and banish the villainous Shadow Monster's......
Only you, the best Mystery Trackers Detective, can do it! This installment offers the same predictable collector's edition bling like previous editions of the series. The main game took me about 3 hours to complete (which I think is a bit short) and the bonus chapter took another 40 minutes. Overall I do think this is a 5 star game experience, even though it's not my favorite in the series. Cheers!
In this series so far....
• Mystery Trackers: The Void
• Mystery Trackers: Raincliff
• Mystery Trackers: Black Isle
• Mystery Trackers: The Four Aces
• Mystery Trackers: Silent Hollow
• Mystery Trackers: Raincliff's Phantoms (My Favorite)
• Mystery Trackers: Blackrow's Secret
• Mystery Trackers: Nightsville Horror
• Mystery Trackers: Winterpoint Tragedy
• Mystery Trackers: Paxton Creek Avenger
• Mystery Trackers: Train to Hellswich
• Mystery Trackers: Queen of Hearts
• Mystery Trackers: Memories of Shadowfield
• Mystery Trackers: Mist Over Blackhill
I recommend this game!

From the dream team that brought New York Mysteries and Lost Lands comes another epic master piece. Darkness and Flame 3: The Dark Side. This sequel to Darkness and Flame: Missing Memories is an awesome adventure equally as stunning as it's predecessor. This was a must buy for me. Another excellent episode in the Darkness and Flame series, which is a continuation of the previous story. It also features the same main characters (your uncle Colin and Farador) and just enough familiarity to make old fans feel welcome. Alice is part of the eternal battle between Darkness and Flame; with the help of the magical Phoenix tattoo on her arm she's ready for another. In the previous story Alice was sure she had defeated the Dark Warrior but he survived and the quest continues. Once again Alice must attempt to conquer the Dark Warrior and destroy the Darkness utilizing her phenomenal powers and a new strategy. Will she succeed with her endeavor in this incredible journey? Find out in this face paced and exciting third installment. What awaits you will blow your mind!!! Kudos to Big Fish and Five-BN developers for creating this wonderful series. This addition to the series exceeded my expectations and Darkness and Flame is destined to be a FAN FAVORITE of the fantasy-adventure genre. Cheers!

It all seemed like a regular night for a traveling inventor and his young cousin, making their way to a nearby fair. However, they were stunned to see a huge object descend from the sky and fall nearby. In the moments that follow, their lives will be changed completely and utterly by a force the did not even know existed - coming from a place that was always obscured in the night sky.
You and your nephew Isaac are on the way to the annual Victory Day Festival to showcase your new innovations when this strange vessel fell from the sky. Isaac could not contain his curiosity and so while exploring he becomes trapped in this alien vessel. Do you have what it takes to free Isaac and discover what this intergalactic vehicle is doing on Earth? In a peaceful fantasy kingdom, your actions will mark the future of two worlds! As the clock ticks away, you will be propelled into an adventure that will defy everything you thought you knew about the world. Will you be able to recognize truth and discard any lie, no matter how impressive it might be? Will you save many more people than just your nephew? Can you even survive all that is coming your way?
If you enjoyed Madhead's Beyond: Light Advent & Beyond: Star Descendant then you will most likely enjoy Moonsouls: Echoes of the Past too! Right from the beginning, I noticed the similarities between this brand-new series from Mad Head Games to another franchise from this very developer, Beyond. Not only are they both Sci-Fi-themed adventures, but the slight playfulness, and the hint of innocence are prevalent in both series. If there is one thing that distinguishes Moonsouls from the Beyond games, it would be that Moonsouls sets in the medieval era, quite an interesting time period for a Sci-Fi game. Story wise, Moonsouls turns a recycled story full of HOPA clichés into an engaging tale through masterful storytelling and fun characters. I also appreciate how Mad Head cleverly integrated the game’s puzzles into the storyline with some neat twists that set them apart from the usual puzzles in other games of its kind. The hidden object scenes are also extremely creative and feature plenty of interactions and multi-layered scenes. I'm not usually a fan of gimmicky tools in HOPAs. Despite that, Moonsouls: Echoes of the Past manages to win me over with the “translation device”. This tool not only works to help us complete tasks, but can also be used to interact with non-interactive spots in the game, such as translating notes, random city signs, and so on. The visuals are flawless and each scene is created with such precision and painted with glowing colors. On the other hand, Moonsouls does not achieve a “signature look” with this first game. Being a game that is heavily-focused on the science fiction aspect, I sort of expected the locations in the game to be more Sci-Fi-influence. As it is, Moonsouls looks and feels like any other fantasy, portal-traveling games, especially Mad Head’s own Nevertales series. The main game takes just a little over three hours to complete, and the bonus chapter offers another 45 minutes of gameplay. The Collector’s Edition does not contain any surprises just the usual bling; a strategy guide, wallpapers, concept art, soundtracks, replayable hidden object scenes, achievements, collectibles, and morphing objects. Whether you choose the SE version or the CE version it's definitely a 4 star game experience. Cheers!

This is the 12th edition of the Haunted Legend series. I love this series as a whole but when I knew that the next Haunted Legends sequel was launching, I did not have high expectations. The last few games in this never-ending series were dull and uninspiring with the exception of The Cursed Gift which was prior to Monstrous Alchemy. The storyline is this edition is less than revolutionary, but it managed to grab my interests and I was engaged all the way through. The story development allows for moments of excitement as well as suspense, which is ideal for a horror-lite game like this. However, the game could have reduced the amount of dialogue readings and still remained effective. This game features stellar sights and sounds, as one would expect from this veteran developer. The scene designs are spectacularly-drawn and stunningly-painted, so are the special effects and the animations. The audio does not disappoint either; the background music provides great atmospheric support for the game and the majority of the voice-overs are on-point. Nonetheless, Haunted Legends: Monstrous Alchemy has large rooms for improvement. Most of all, the gameplay involves far too much hand-holding. This leads to easy gameplay and predictable paths of actions. Also, the objects in the hidden object scenes are far too large –I rarely resorted to the hint button in these scenes. While we appreciate the option to switch between Hard and Easy modes in most of the puzzles, the underlying concepts behind these puzzles are still quite simple. AMAX Interactive could try thinking outside-the-box and layering different styles of puzzles with their future releases. I also was disappointed that Saint Germaine does not appear in this edition, but if I remember from correctly he was killed in the Cursed Gift. My hope is that AMAX miraculously manages to reignite the fire in this age-old series. I also hope this trend continues if AMAX still decides that Haunted Legends is a keeper. While some editions of this series are better than others I decided to give this installment of Haunted Legends 5 stars because of the originality and concept of the entire series. Cheers!
The entire collection so far:
•Haunted Legends: The Queen of Spades
•Haunted Legends: The Bronze Horseman
•Haunted Legends: The Undertaker
•Haunted Legends: The Curse of Vox
•Haunted Legends: The Stone Guest
•Haunted Legends: The Dark Wishes
•Haunted Legends: The Secret of Life
•Haunted Legends: The Iron Mask
•Haunted Legends: Faulty Creatures
•Haunted Legends: The Black Hawk
•Haunted Legends: The Cursed Gift
•Haunted Legends: Monstrous Alchemy

Your wedding night suddenly comes to a halt when your fiancé receives a mysterious lotus flower and instantly becomes seriously ill. You soon learn about the legend of the black lotus (a deadly flower created by dark magic) in which the person who receives it will face inevitable death when the last petal turns black. Do you have what it takes to rescue your beloved? This latest installment in the Immortal Love series once again combines a romantic storyline with paranormal elements, and does so successfully. Although the storyline is beautifully executed, fans who are familiar with the genre know this theme has been done countless times before. However, the exciting twists and the multi-faceted characters in Immortal Love: Black Lotus makes it worthwhile. I also think this fourth installment is also elevated by a wonderful production. The visuals are up to 4 Friends Games’ usual unbelievably high standards. Every single aspect is crafted to perfection, from the epic cinematic renderings to the tiniest details in the scenes. The music also works to enhance the “magical” quality of the game, there is never a dull moment in the game and the soundtracks are stunning. The voice-overs are equally impressive (full of emotion) and the sound SFX are spot on. The adventure part of this addition may be perceived as a cookie-cutter experience for long-time advanced HOPA players and for some players the puzzles may seem uninspired and somewhat tedious. Luckily, the hidden object scenes are quite entertaining, featuring some very clever interactions with an acceptable level of challenge! This edition may not be my personal favorite among in the series but it is equally entertaining as the previous editions. The only reason I chose to give a 4 star rating is because Immortal Love: Black Lotus has such a short length. I managed to complete the main game after about three hours, and the bonus chapter in 45 minutes. I do recommend the CE version so that game club members enjoy a more lengthy gaming experience and the typical Collector’s Edition bling; a strategy guide, wallpapers, screensavers, concept art, soundtracks, movies, re-playable hidden object scenes, re-playable puzzles, achievements, and collectibles. If you enjoy this series you'll most likely want to add this game to complete your series collection whether you chose the SE version or the CE version. Cheers!
Other games in this series by order include:
• Immortal Love: Letter From The Past
• Immortal Love 2: The Price of a Miracle
• Immortal Love: Blind Desire
• Immortal Love: Black Lotus
I recommend this game!

I really enjoy this "sleeper series" and this installment was just as wonderful as the previous stories. Enjoy playing the role of Pamela who's journey begins by traveling to the land of Aberloch to attend her niece's eleventh birthday party. After a brief encounter with Mrs. Stewart (Nora's Nanny) and Walter the grounds keeper (while celebrating your niece's birthday) you witness Nora being captured by a vengeful banshee, and you will need to unlock the secrets of the island of McConnell to save her. According to the fable, something terrible happened in the seaside town of Aberloch eleven years ago and the towns resident's have been haunted by something lurking in the dark sea water ever since. It seems more than a coincident that the fables timeline coincides with your niece's age and now you must travel through the paths of horrific creatures to find your niece and solve the secret of the banshee before it's too late! The story that encompasses this latest edition to the trilogy isn't revolutionary but it does contain lots of surprises and twists which leaves you curious as to how this fable originated and how it ends. When the demo ended, I was determined to discover the truth about the fable and it's unique and fascinating plot. Fans who are familiar with this series are in store for an unpredictable adventure that may actually offer a conclusion to this engaging three part fantasy
HOPA series by Sunward Games, the creative minds behind the popular "The Secret Order" series. If you've played the other games of the series you already know that the main game takes around 4 or 5 hours to complete and the bonus chapter offers another hour of gameplay. I recommend this for casual gamer's of every level. Cheers!

First of all, I think it's only fitting to extend a warm welcome back to Blue Tea Games, who apparently led the production of this Dark Parables sequel. While I have long believed that Blue Tea has always been an advisor to Eipix in the development of most Dark Parables games, this is the first time that this Hong Kong-based studio has been majorly involved in a HOPA project since Dark Parables: Ballad of Rapunzel! It seems like this four-year absence did little damage to the studio’s talents, as Return of the Salt Princess successfully brought back the “Blue Tea magic” that was the core of many of the studio’s past works.
Dark Parables: Return of the Salt Princess tells a compelling story about a princess who struggles with her own special powers, serving as a continuation to the excellent second game in this iconic franchise, The Exiled Prince. The storyline in this sequel is told through various storytelling devices, mainly notes, dialogues, and mini-games. I also adore all the clues and “Easter Eggs” that are scattered through the game, as they are as much an essential part to a Blue Tea’s game as the intricate visuals. Speaking of the visuals, Dark Parables: Return of the Salt Princess is just as charming and as magical as one would expect a Dark Parables game to be. The level of detail in the graphics is definitely astounding, coupled that with some imaginative scene designs and a sophisticated color palette, the game immerses the player into its world from start to finish. If there is one draw back, it would be the comic book-style depictions of the characters, which in my opinion, takes a little away from that immersive experience. Dark Parables: Return of the Salt Princess did not make any bold choices when it comes to the gameplay. There are certainly more hidden object scenes (in this case, they are all fragmented object scenes) than what I have seen in the genre as of recent. The puzzles are few and far between and the concepts are not that exciting, but they are neatly-executed and provide some much-needed challenge. Despite how much fun I had with the game, I feel obligated to point out that the game lacks two major features; a custom difficulty setting and an interactive map that allows you to transport to any specific location. I was glad to discover that Dark Parables: Return of the Salt Princess is quite a long HOPA game. I have been a fan of Dark Parables since the first edition, Curse of Briar Rose which was released in 2010 so I chose the CE version which I recommend to casual players of every level. The main game took me nearly five hours to complete (perhaps, due to the lack of a jump-map). The bonus chapter titled Moonlight Romance, took another 65 minutes. The Collector’s Edition is fairly comprehensive with its bonus section; a strategy guide, wallpapers, concept art, soundtracks, movies, replayable puzzles, achievements, collectible parables, and morphing objects. Cheers!

When a seemingly uneventful visit to your brother turns into a hotbed of conflict between humans and Clouders it will be up to you – Mary Gilbert – famous botanist and guardian of Fern Flower – to once more enter the magical world of eastern European deities, ancient beliefs and mythical lands.
Accompanied by Aitvar, a house spirit, set off to the other end of the rainbow, where a flying city floats among the clouds and where your brother is being held captive by an evil sorcerer. Save him and together renew the ancient covenant between humans and Clouders. Will cleverness and resourcefulness be enough to overcome sinister Zmeys on the sorcerer’s service and prove your worth to Perun, the god of thunder? Will you be able to save the earth before it gets flooded by the ocean? Once you have completed the demo of this third installment of the Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends fans of the series are in for a delightful surprise in this latest edition to the Eventide series. Those who are familiar with the trilogy will undoubtedly compare it to the previous editions in their review which at best gives game club members a synopsis of what the entire series is about. When this series began with Eventide: Slavic Fable CE it was an exciting adventure game inspired by Slavic mythology. Set in a contemporary heritage park where mythical Slavic creatures co-exist with humans, the adventure begins when Mary, a famous botanist, receives an alarming invitation from her grandmother, the parks curator. Mary is tasked with saving an endangered plant, but this turns out to be the least of her concerns. Her Grandma is kidnapped by the mysterious Boruta, who is plotting to conquer and destroy the world using the parks ancient magic. The protagonist must seek alliance with the creatures living in the park, in order to defeat the villain, save her Grandma, and prevent worldwide calamity. In Eventide 2: The Sorcerer’s Mirror,The journey continues with another chapter of the adventures of Mary, a botanist from the first Eventide. This time Mary has to release her niece Jenny from the clutches of Tvardovsky the immortal wizard, who kidnapped the girl during a trip into the mountains. Mary will do everything to rescue this girl – she will venture into an ancient forest filled with a mysterious power and walk along the steep mountain paths and the ruins, where she’ll meet imps, phantoms, and other mystical creatures from Eastern and Central European fairy tales. To defeat the sorcerer, she’ll have to solve the mystery of the enchanted village and make very unusual allies, such as the famous 17th-century outlaw Yanosik. I have enjoyed all three of the editions of this original fantasy adventure series including this one. While Legacy of Legends may not rise to the expectations of some fans it did for me. I recommend this fun and engaging addition and the previous ones too. It's definitely worth a game coupon for this CE. Cheers!
