Shortly after a historic peace treaty between the two worlds was signed, a horrible aging virus known as Senekta started spreading among the citizens of our world. Just like that, Henrik an ambassador from the other world, the Cities, offered a cure to this strange disease in exchange for our children. The catch is that the cure does not work and it's up to you Elva to discover the real antidote! Is this an evil scheme planned by the Cities or just a pure coincidence? Reflections of Life takes us on a unique Sci-Fi Fantasy adventure with this sixth sequel. Screams and Sorrow has a great premise, presenting a story about conflicts between the two parallel worlds in such an interesting and unconventional manner. When your colleague Michael becomes infected after being stung by a wasp carrying the Senekta virus which in an instant causes him to age rapidly; you realize this disease poses a threat which could easily become an global epidemic. So you seek out Nova (Michael's assistant) who has knowledge of a magic scepter which may help you find a way to heal everyone who's been infected by Henrik's Senekta virus. It won't be an easy task as you learn that Nova has been kidnapped by Henrik's henchmen. Time is running out....will you be able to save everyone and stop Henrik? This is a face paced thriller with an engaging storyline with objective aspects in Screams and Sorrow that are quite on-point. The gameplay does not divert much from the HOPA format we are familiar with, but there are enough smart twists and turns to hook us in. The adventure part involves a fair share of backtracking, which reasonably adds to the challenge of the game. The hidden object scenes are also delightfully creative and often times help progress the storyline so that you don't become uninterested. Similarly, the puzzles are mostly clever, although I have seen most of them countless times before. You also have an owl helper in the game, which in my opinion is a harmless addition, but some player may find unnecessary. This installment totally owns the visuals game. The artwork is incredibly detailed and the architectures in the game offer some real stunning sights. The rich colors and the extravagant special effects also worked to enhance the fantasy experience and successfully kept me glued to the screen from start to finish.
Whether you chose the SE or CE version you definitely get your money's worth of gameplay. The main game took me around 5 hours to complete. If you decide on the Collector’s Edition, the game includes a 50-minute bonus chapter, wallpapers, soundtracks, concept art, videos, replayable hidden object scenes, replayable mini-games, achievements, collectibles, and a hidden puzzle. Cheers!

Things are not going too well in Persia, not only is the king mortally ill, but his demonic grand vizier has also decided to run amok. To make matters worse, a shadowy disease is slowly spreading across the land. Persian Nights: Sands of Wonders, opens with a young apothecary named Tara desperately searching for a way to prevent the dreaded plague from spreading even further. Her quest causes her to cross paths with an acrobatic swordsman named Darius and the realization that the vizier, Zaved, might have a hand in the appearance of the plague. Tara and Darius are soon joined by a third companion, a genie by the name of Minu, and together the trio attempt to thwart Zaved and eradicate the plague. Persian Nights: Sands of Wonders is a hidden object adventure game with the emphasis on adventuring. Although you mostly play as Tara, Darius is usually with her and the story often switches to his perspective when something dexterous needs to be done. While Minu is often present as well, she is unfortunately one of the most useless genies I’ve ever encountered, so don’t expect to wish your way out of any bad situations. Thankfully, the game is good enough that you’ll never wish to skip anything and the presence of companions at least makes the experience a little less lonely than a typical hidden object adventure. Unlike the typical “helpers” often found in the genre, Darius is a full fledged character and you can even talk to him occasionally to gain more information about the situations that you encounter. The dialog in this adventure may be excessive for some but it's necessary in conveying the storyline. The game features more than 41 beautiful locations to explore and virtually all of them show a lot of detail and imagination. From dimly lit caves and temples to magical lands and ruined cities, the setting for the game is great and it is backed up by some very nice hand-drawn artwork. Although the visuals look great in high resolution, things do become a little fuzzy when scenes zoom in on elements and the animation throughout is also fairly simple. However, none of this detracts from the overall experience. While the game is quite relaxed for the most part, there are also a couple of scenes that are more dynamic to give it an action packed feel. These range from climbing scenes that are in first person as you help Darius navigate some obstacles to combat scenes where you need to use magic to defend yourself and banish sand demons with a rather unconventional use of inventory items. Of course, none of these scenes are as threatening as they appear, but it is still a nice touch. In terms of gameplay Persian Nights still has hidden object scenes, but not many of them and even fewer of them are of the traditional variety which I thought showed real innovation. You might encounter a few fragmented object scenes or scenes where you are required to find multiples of the same type, like keys or shards. If you really feel like searching for things you’ll be happy to hear that there is a hidden palace symbol concealed in each scene and hunting for these is quite enjoyable. Make sure to find them before leaving a scene though, as you can miss a few because there is no backtracking after certain points. In addition to the hidden object scenes the game also has a few mini-games, but most of these are also rather easy. Thankfully, none of them are of the annoying variety and they all fit nicely with the theme of the story. What the game does offer are inventory items, which must either be combined with each other to create new items or used somewhere in the gameworld in order to progress. Finally, Tara occasionally has the opportunity to put her apothecary skills to good use by gathering ingredients and combining them in the right order to create spells. The only drawback is that the game doesn’t feature any type of bonus adventure, so when it is done, it is done. You can however replay hidden object puzzles and mini-games from the “Options” menu if you wish. Here you can also re-watch cut-scenes, check out concept art and wallpapers, and listen to the soundtrack. I hope Artifex Mundi continues this trend of "raising the bar" for standard editions games. I think it's rare these days to have an opportunity to purchase a standard edition release that compares to many of the Collector Edition games (minus the bling) currently offered. I highly recommend this 5 star magical adventure and hope these developer's contemplate a sequel release that may eventually become a series. Cheers!
I recommend this game!

Wow! I thought Fright Chasers: Forced Exposure was exceptional and this next chapter of Fright Chasers is an awesome sequel for fans of this popular series. The investigation begins when you receive information in an email concerning several people in the town of Glenville who have been reported murdered by someone or something that uses a supernatural medallion which burns victims to pure ash. Get on your Harley and travel to Glenville and don't forget your Paranormal Camera that reveals ghostly clues because your going to need it for this fast paced mystery adventure. As you proceed in your investigation you encounter a woman named Joanna who eventually shares some disturbing facts in a newspaper article about a train accident which took place in 1899 that reportedly claimed the lives of five people. The encounter with Joanna is brief and leaves you not only suspicious of Joanna but curious to reveal several unanswered questions regarding the accident. You soon realize that Joanna and the other four characters central to your investigation didn't die in the train accident. But how can they be alive after more than a hundred years later, are they immortal? The only person who can provide answers is the crow masked protagonist known as the Soul Reaper. After more intense research you learn that the Soul Reaper is your number one suspect in the Glenville murders and the targets are the five individuals who were aboard the train crash of 1899. Is it possible that one of these five people could be the Soul Reaper? Perhaps....but what is the motive for killing them? Travel back in time to 1899 and board the train to question these five passengers and return to the present day hopefully with the answers you need to figure out what caused this intriguing mystery in order to solve the case!
This is a fascinating and frightening mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire 5 hours of the main game and another hour for the bonus game. It has incredible twists and subplots that will surprise even the most seasoned sleuths! I was buried alive in a coffin, knocked out cold, and even kidnapped during the course of this thriller. It's truly an epic experience and just when you think you absolutely know who the actual protagonist is, your shocked to find out that you have been wrong all along....
I highly recommend this installment of Fright Chasers and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Worthy of Editor Choice award and five stars. Cheers!

Lost Grimoires 3 begins at the end of the previous story. A cataclysmic war between human's and alchemists just wrapped up and now you (taking on the role of the kings sister) are looking for a little break from your last adventure. You weren't expecting your brother king Raphael to bring back a souvenir from the last campaign which will cause no end in trouble for King Raphael's siblings s well as their subjects. It's obvious from the beginning that your brother Raphael is "not himself" and appears to be under some kind of spell. He believes you are plotting against him, even though you were invaluable to him in winning the last battle. You don't get much of a break when your female friend Quail (Captain of your brothers army) alerts you of an impending battle with the Entangles Ones (tree monsters) who have just broken into your castle. A new battle has just begun with this army of Entangled Ones and they are poisoning the citizens with poisonous thorns when they storm the castle. It is believed that an evil sorcerer named Sylvanheir is responsible and seeks revenge on King Raphael, but is Sylvanheir truly wicked or is something far more sinister happening involving the forgotten well? Journey into battle with the Entangled Ones which leads you across various locations in this magical realm with the help of your Phoenix companion Phlox. Incredible challenges await you along the way especially when you reach the Elven Kingdom. In the Elven Kingdom you encounter a masked stranger who knows Raphael and also shares a secret with you about a mysterious forgotten well that may be a factor in why your brother Raphael is acting so peculiar. But who is this masked stranger and what is his agenda? Will you discover the truth about the forgotten well? Can you save everyone with your knowledge of Alchemy and the use of recipes in your healers kit? The answer is yes, but it won't be an easy task. Once you complete the "demo" play of the game the adventure really draws players into the fascination third installment of the Lost Grimoires series. I loved this edition enough to play it twice! The imagery and artistic color scheme of Lost Grimoires is beautifully crafted. The dialog is necessary in explaining the story though the character's sarcastic tone is a bit much. This may be the conclusion of this unique Fairytale Alchemy Adventure. I think fans of this series will enjoy every moment of gameplay and I highly recommend this engaging game as well as the previous editions. Cheers!

Enjoy playing the role of Emily Patterson who is set to showcase her father’s latest scientific invention during the invention expo in Paris. Suddenly, the unexpected happens when your father is kidnapped by an unknown man during the scene of a technological malfunction. With the local authorities being of no help, it is your duty to conduct your own investigation and find your father. Orchid Games collaborated with Artifex Mundi to deliver a steampunk-inspired adventure that really impressed me. The storyline in Modern Tales: Age of Invention is about a kidnapped parent, with a rather unique theme that makes the game very interesting. Modern Tales: Age of Invention offers a smart hybrid between steampunk, science fiction, and traditional detective mystery. The game involves an extensive amount of character interactions and dialogs, but they are all necessary to advance the storyline. Another strong aspect of Modern Tales: Age of Invention is the production. The game features exceptionally stunning location designs along with some gorgeous fluorescent lighting and color. The level of detail in each scene is mind-blowing, even the hidden object scenes look as glorious as ever. Some aspects of the audio presentation are less impressive. The background music is pleasant and all, but the voice-acting, especially of the protagonist, seems to remain calm at all times, which takes away from the emotional stakes of the game. Whether you chose the SE or CE version of the game your definitely getting your money's worth of gameplay. Modern Tales: Age of Invention offers a playtime of around six hours (without skipping), plus an hour for the bonus chapter. The Collector’s Edition bling includes a strategy guide, wallpapers, concept art, soundtracks, videos, replayable hidden object scenes, replayable mini-games, achievements, and collectibles. I was surprised by how enjoyable this game is and I look forward to the developer's creating a sequel soon. Cheers!

I really love the Edge of Reality series from 4 Friends and this third installment is just as fantastic as Edge of Reality: Ring of Destiny (2016) and Lethal Predictions (2017).
The game begins showing what appears to be a man's hand who leaves a bassinett on the doorsteps of an orphan’s house back in 1895 with only a ripped photo of your parents and a casino chip. That very casino led you to Azara Gambler’s Paradise years later! Could your father be the one who left you at the orphanage? Will you find the answers to your questions about your birth parents when you enter the Azara Casino tournament? I have been eagerly waiting for a sequel to this series and Edge of Reality: Fatal Luck really surpassed my expectations because of how innovative and original the story and gameplay is for this edition to the trilogy. I definitely think this game and the series in general will be a "fan favorite" for those who love 4 Friends and I give this installment a five star rating. Cheers!

I really enjoy this "sleeper series" and this installment was just as wonderful as the previous stories. Enjoy playing the role of Pamela who's journey begins by traveling to the land of Aberloch to attend her niece's eleventh birthday party. After a brief encounter with Mrs. Stewart (Nora's Nanny) and Walter the grounds keeper (while celebrating your niece's birthday) you witness Nora being captured by a vengeful banshee, and you will need to unlock the secrets of the island of McConnell to save her. According to the fable, something terrible happened in the seaside town of Aberloch eleven years ago and the towns resident's have been haunted by something lurking in the dark sea water ever since. It seems more than a coincident that the fables timeline coincides with your niece's age and now you must travel through the paths of horrific creatures to find your niece and solve the secret of the banshee before it's too late! The story that encompasses this latest edition to the trilogy isn't revolutionary but it does contain lots of surprises and twists which leaves you curious as to how this fable originated and how it ends. When the demo ended, I was determined to discover the truth about the fable and it's unique and fascinating plot. Fans who are familiar with this series are in store for an unpredictable adventure that may actually offer a conclusion to this engaging three part fantasy
HOPA series by Sunward Games, the creative minds behind the popular "The Secret Order" series. If you've played the other games of the series you already know that the main game takes around 4 or 5 hours to complete and the Collector's edition bonus chapter offers another hour of gameplay. Whether you choose the SE or the CE version, I recommend this for casual gamer's of every level. Cheers!

In this sixth edition of the League of Light fans who are familiar with the series may be surprised by "The Game" and acknowledge the connection between this sequel and the previous editions, which is certainly not a bad thing considering the series’ four star track record. As the leading Detective and member of the League of Light your journey continues as you investigate a villainous organization known as "The Watchers". Every fifty years the Watchers create a deadly game where their can only be one survivor. A game that requires you to make difficult decisions among the other characters and will test your skills and abilities beyond belief! Will you save yourself or join forces with Julia (aka Fox) who's life is also in peril? Your goal is to ultimately discover the "Watchers" evil agenda and put a stop to this chaos once and for all!
This was a "must buy" for me and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of gameplay in this newest edition of Mariaglorum's League of Light series. If you are a beginner or new to the series, this is a great introductory installment (even though this one may not be my personal favorite). I finished the main game in about five hours, and the bonus chapter in an hour. I recommend the game for players of every level and check out these earlier releases too. Cheers!

In The Andersen Accounts: Chapter One, you'll need to prepare yourself for a case unlike any Eipix mystery you've encountered before. Your dear friend Rachel's new tattoo came with some unexpected side effects and now it's up to you to unravel this mystery in order to save your friend! Your old friend Rachel has reached out to you and you’re to meet at the Red Cape Bar for a happy reunion. Everything seems great; you catch up on the latest, you admire her new tattoo…wait – is it glowing? The bar’s television catches Rachel’s attention suddenly as there are reports of missing people around the city. Also, there’s a health warning regarding new tattoos everyone is getting with exotic ink. The reporter warns those who have the new tattoos to seek medical attention immediately!!! Suddenly, there’s an explosion, a man yells, and she’s disappeared with a shriek in a cloud of smoke. Rachel’s been kidnapped and taken down the alley by some thug! Welcome to the Anderson Accounts, Chapter One. You’re Chris Anderson, who is on an unusual case. Science and reason seem to come up short in this magical mystery so you need to think outside-of-the-box!!! The atmosphere is set in a city by the bay. Rain softly pelts the buildings outside. Neon lights glow softly in the darkness. Old warehouses are faded in the soft light of the moon. It’s a really wonderful setting – and going from old building to old building really adds to the game. You’re looking for Rachel in her apartment, but the old dilapidated elevator is broken and there are papers littered everywhere. You can tell the place isn’t kept up and it’s not located in the nicest of areas. But that makes it interesting as well as there’s so much to explore in the clutter. The background music is excellent, both adventuresome and thrilling, but not over the top. You can hear distant city noises as well, which makes you feel like you’re really there. The voiceovers are great, and graphics are well done. Those dark colors of the city add to the suspense of the game.
All the games are great. The mini games are so tied into the game that you feel like you’re almost on an obstacle course. Figure one out and you can move to the next level. They’re themed and fun to play – not too hard. I found myself trying many of them out instead of hitting the skip button. If you’re fast (and you will be, they’re not too hard), you get achievements. The hidden object puzzles are extremely well done and very creative. One HOP adds neon to objects, which is a nice tie-in to the city theme. Objects also morph, and you have to collect a total of 16 throughout the game. I also like the hint button – it sends out a scorched fireball that winds around the scene and points you in the right direction.
Along the way, you begin to think maybe you don’t know Rachel as well as you thought. You discover she likes to wear a red cape (you locate it in your search). You also have to find a hidden Red Riding Hood in each location, to find a total of 31. Hmmmm… I wonder what direction this is going? Additionally, there does happen to be a wolf painting in her apartment. Clue upon clue unravels a well-known story in the midst of this mystery. This was a wonderful game to play. All the mysterious elements work really well with the story. The pace is perfect, and along with the surroundings, you really feel like you’re in the midst of a city hunting for your friend. All the mini games are great to play – and so well done with the theme. Whether you choose the CE version or the SE version; If you want something a little different that blends, science fiction with an old fairytale, then I would recommend checking out Anderson Accounts, Chapter One. Cheers!

This is one intriguing murder mystery you don't want to miss! In Eipix's new series Memoirs of Murder you begin by selecting your role as either Mary Fletcher or Aaron Fletcher, though it doesn't change the storyline which ever spouse you choose. Mary and Aaron Fletcher moved from the city to pursue a more relaxed way of life on Maple street in the small town of Hidden Pines. A town where everyone knows one another including small town gossip. The Fletcher's arrive and find a note left from the last tenants which reads: "take what furniture's left; we don't want anything related to this place"! (Suspicion #1). While unpacking, they receive an invitation to the annual town party from Mayor William Greenwald and his wife Dorothy Greenwald (who live across the street in a huge manor). One spouse begins looking for a bottle of champagne while the other heads across the street to greet the Greenwald's and attend the party. William Greenwald greets you when you arrive and asks you to sign the guestbook. You observe everyone who has been invited to this mustache theme soiree which include:
•Mayor Greenwald
•Dorothy Greenwald
•Marvin Greenwald (William's brother)
•Betty Parker (Diva of the silver screen)
•The Family Attorney
•Mildred the Housekeeper
•Peter Jones (Employee of Greenwald Inc. who works on pier)
After you sign the guestbook Mildred approaches you and asks if you would take Dorothy Greenwald's dinner up to her room. Dorothy has been confined to her bed with terrible headache's since her car accident some months ago. You somewhat reluctantly agree and take Dorothy her dinner. Upon meeting Dorothy (who is surprised by your presence)you hand her the dinner tray and begin talking. Dorothy remarks, "Welcome to the neighborhood, it's nice to finally meet you"! Then she begins to eat the dinner....suddenly she shouts, "I ONLY TRUST MILDRED, DON"T TRUST ANYONE"! Then she falls to the floor dead; she's been poisoned. You rush to the floor to inspect Dorothy's condition and find ash on her sleeve from the fireplace in her room. (Suspicion #2) You also find a secret box she had been holding (contents unknown). Stricken with panic by what you've just witnessed you head to the fireplace and see a small niche' behind a brick. You quickly stash the secret box behind the brick just in the nick of time and in walks Mildred...
Mildred immediately accuses you of murdering Dorothy, the police arrest you and take you to the police station for questioning. It's now up to your spouse Aaron or Mary to discover who really murdered Dorothy Greenwald and the incredibly circumstances surrounding this fascinating mystery! WHEW!!! I can't wait to find out what happens next in this exciting new series. The development team at Eipix did an outstanding job with this new endeavor. This game is NOTHING like any of their previous series, not even DEAD RECKONING and Eipix was long overdue in introducing a new and original series! Eipix fans may appreciate all of the new and improved style and format of this new series. If you are bored with the numerous editions of various Eipix games series then you definitely have something to look forward to with this five star release. Cheers!
