This was an insta-buy for me. Your objective is to defeat sorcerer Isa and the evil force standing behind him in Spirits of Mystery 6. I'm so glad this series is still trending! It's 25 years later and your Nanny says to you Oh Princess, I thought we could keep this from Isa but our secret has put you in danger! That's the same magic I saw him use all those years ago...There's only one way to stop him, OPEN THE BOX. It contains a magical magnifying mirror that destroys evil. To charge this magical mirror you must find all 6 hidden symbols floating in the air, and then use the mirror. You then make your way to your mother the Queen Theresa who's about to be executed. She gives you an amulet she's been saving for you that will protect you, but says " I hope you never have to use it ". My parents gave me this medallion many years ago. I keep their portraits here. Your father the King warns you that there’s an intruder in the kingdom! Take this key and lock yourself in from the inside. I’ll take care of our unwanted visitor. I’ll protect your mother. Please, be careful. Don’t trust anyone! Your parents tried to keep Isa away from you but now he’s got you and puts you in his dark dungeon! ERS latest follow up to Spirits of Mystery 5: Chains of Promise is a fantastic continuation of the franchise. I love the unique graphic style used in ERS games and the voice overs are flawless. There is a lot to accomplish in this adventure and every moment of gameplay is engaging, fast paced, and so detailed that you don't even want a break from the game. This edition is just as awesome as " Chains of Promise ". Now it's up to you to save Queen Theresa and stop Isa and anyone else involved. Players from beginner to expert will enjoy the story and unique gameplay in this popular series! Includes the usual CE bling and an extra bonus chapter. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Cadenza: Havana Nights Collector's Edition is a hidden object adventure game in which you have to save your brother’s business and unmask a mysterious guitar player at the same time. The game is pretty straightforward when it comes to the gameplay mechanics, because you should already know what to do if you have any experience with HOPAs. I am a big fan of the series, since the previous installments were so incredible I can't help but compare this edition to the others. If you are new to the series then you will really enjoy this one, but maybe not if you have played all three....The story is not very complex either, but it’s somewhat exciting to watch it unfold, and even more so to participate in it. As such, you have come to Havana in order to help your brother with his club business, given the fact that he needs some musical talent and you are a pretty skilled musician. However, a mysterious guitar player starts attacking random people around town, including you and your brother. Great graphics and excellent VO's with Hispanic accents. Most of the environments contain an insane amount of detail, too, especially when it’s a hidden object sequence. Obviously, the cut scenes are not as exciting or as good-looking as they could be, but they certainly get the point across. I still remain a fan, but demo first to see if this editions interests you enough to purchase.
I don't recommend this game.

The story begins with you investigating a murder. The victim is Johnny Abilli, a man that had everything: money, women, adventure… but got bored of it all. He was living life on the edge and that was still not enough for him. But apparently he went too far because he’s now dead and you’re left with a bunch of suspects – each with enough motives to be the killers – and one big question: who did it? Embark on a great adventure to find out everything in a story whose plot thickens as soon as you start gathering evidence and a mystery that will keep you hooked to the end! After tons of hidden object adventures where unicorns and other fantasy creatures were either friends or foes (or both), a change in scenery and a more earthly cast is more than welcome. There’s no supernatural here, no paranormal activities, no talking owl to guide you through the game and sometimes a bit of realism is everything that you need – so I really enjoyed this break from the fantasy lands, while focusing 100% on a well written and executed mystery. The hidden object scenes are interactive and nice, with a ton of objects to look through – sometimes maybe a bit too many – but that’s what a detective has to do: dig through piles of garbage to find the one piece he’s missing! The puzzles are also very standard, with nothing to really get your attention, but they’re all well executed and mostly related to the mystery setting, ranging from very easy to pretty challenging, so again there’s nothing to complain here, on the contrary! The game looks very good and some scenes are absolutely breathtaking, but also on some occasions I had the feeling that the background was drawn first and objects were later on added to the mix, leaving them look a bit strange, like they don’t really belong there. It’s not a deal breaker, but sometimes those specific items seem to really pop up and they do mess up the graphics a bit. But at least the sounds are all good, as well as the voiceovers, so I don’t have to complain – one again – about the annoying sounds in a HOG. I did enjoy that Dead Reckoning: Broadbeach Cove does offer a bit of a challenge when it comes to the collectibles and morphing objects, which are really difficult to find. To be honest, actually, I wasn’t able to find the morphing objects but the game’s fortunately good enough to be worth a second play maybe on a more relaxed level of difficulty and I will find them! But if you don’t want to replay the game, make sure to be very careful and pay attention to all details, because this is not one of those games that allows you to breeze through them and collect everything without even trying. Which is a good thing, in my opinion! Being a Collector’s Edition, the game offers the regular bling, including a Strategy Guide, achievements, wallpapers, re-playable scenes and a brand new Chapter with a bonus Mystery, so it’s well worth the price. If the bonus mystery is your only deciding factor then you'll be happy with the standard edition. All in all, Dead Reckoning: Broadbeach Cove is a very solid entry in the series, a well written and perfectly executed mystery that will keep you hooked from start to finish and will manage to amaze you every now and then. Players of every level will be able to enjoy this latest addition to this Eipix jewel. Enjoy!
I recommend this game!

Okay Emma Roberts (you) have been selected as the most qualified Investigative Journalist for this latest assignment. When the Editor of the magazine calls you on your cell he informs you that fellow Journalist Jack has disappeared researching paranormal activity in the Black River area. Four people were killed in a fire at the Black River Ranch in the 19th century. Now, their spirits from the past are back to haunt the residents living there. Even though the events revolve around the old house, the true evil is usually not in things but in people. You are now responsible for the case that your colleague was supposed to be working on. And he was... right before he disappeared. The house is now occupied by a lonely artist. But it has not always been like that. He used to have a daughter, who was kidnapped by a ghost, and soon thereafter his wife died. But wait that is not the whole story. This house used to belong to a person accused of sorcery and a few deaths and subsequently the house was burned by the villagers scared of the rumors. Will this house and its occupants need to be destroyed and stopped again? You'll have to discover this answer as you do everything you can to over come every challenge, puzzle, and intense hidden object areas to reach the banks of the Black River! Fear for Sale: The House on Black River's engaging story unveils in a quite dramatic way. The tension grows as you discover one part of the story after another. The beautiful graphics and the fitting music and voice overs do a great job creating the perfect atmosphere for the past to meet the present and for the natural to meet the unnatural. Whoever narrates the voice of Emma Roberts is bloody fantastic! I have been a huge fan of this series since it was introduced, and this installment is one of the best. A great starting point for beginners who aren't familiar with the series. This CE has all those media extras you would expect - wallpaper, screensavers, concept art, soundtracks, and music. The bonus chapter challenges you with another drama. You get to know the family of the original owner a little better. What a Blast!!! The investigation is real for you as a player too since you get to look at and interact with a lot of things in this game. First of all, it is fun that different little things and creatures are responsive to your touch, so point-and-click at lots of stuff. Photos, lamps, doors, crows..... you'll be surprised at the very least. Secondly, there is a ton of inventory to pick up and work with. Some are quite complex. Don't forget about all the Collectibles (25) and Beyond Objects (34) among all else. Achievements (9) earn you points to show off your journalistic skills. The hidden object scenes offer a variety of searches, some of which are multi-step with puzzles in them. There is a good variety of them, but if you want to skip some of them or all together you can switch to a jigsaw puzzle available instead. The puzzles are all fun and different too. They seem to be a bit easy, but that always depends on you skills. I hope this franchise continues to Trend.....I think fans are goings to love this! I highly recommend this paranormal thriller to players of every level. Good Luck!

First there was Mountain Trap: The Manor of Memories where you had to find and rescue your friend Amy, when she goes missing while snow skiing at a remote ski resort. In this exciting sequel a trip to the mysterious town of Wilshere revels that 15 young girls have mysteriously disappeared. Sheriff Aiden Wood was unable to find any traces of the missing young women, so he calls for reinforcements! Sheriff summons Joan Veiburn from London, one of the best private detectives of our time. And you will take her role! In the train from London to Wilshire, Idenburg Joan examined all the materials of this tangled case. There are no evidence in all the cases, no witnesses, no clues, nothing. This case is going to be hard, but fifteen young life are bets in this deadly game! It's up to you "Joan Veiburn" to reveal whereabouts of the missing persons in this thrilling Adventure! Not only a charming quest but also well executed design of Mountain Trap 2: Under the Cloak of Fear game. I thought the adventure was a relaxing straightforward process and while playing will provide a heavenly diversion to all neophytes of Hidden Object Puzzle games. From premium class jovial graphic arts to dreamy music, decent voice overs and absorbing storyline; everything in beauteous Mountain Trap 2 will lug players who loves explosive Adventure / Hidden Object / Puzzle casual games. This was easily a must purchase for me and was just as great as the first game, perhaps even a little more. I recommend for this one for intermediate and seasoned gamers!!!

I loved this new series. Series seem to be what's trending these days at Big Fish. This edition is an eccentric tail from the ivory tower of mythology. Your friend is delivering a lecture on the famous Minotaur of antiquity, which everyone knows had gone extinct long before… or has he? At the lecture, a mysterious man makes the bold claim that the Minotaur is alive and well, only hidden away in his labyrinth where he awaits another birth. Once the Minotaur comes back, he has the full intention of causing all sorts of trouble. That’s where you step in. You play the role of Pamela, the Chosen One, descendant of Ariadne, who is the only human being who is able to stand up to this beast. Can you stop him before he does his evil work? It's up to you because you have been chosen by the Gods and given a torch granting you special powers. You will have the opportunity to reach out onto a hidden exotic island on a quest to find the supposedly fictitious beast, the Pegasus, in a bonus game that will knock your socks off! Throughout the Collector’s Edition, there are hidden flying insects(28) that you can collect along the way as well as morphing flowers (20) to pick up. Even the ones who are freaked out by the insects will do find with the ones in the game. Most of them are so pretty! There are some achievements (24) that you can earn and unlock as you go which have come down from the gods themselves. There are four difficulty modes: Casual, Advanced, Expert, and Custom. Map and Strategy Guide are provided as you play. The hidden object scenes are mostly lists and silhouettes (but are not limited to), but they are well thought through to engage you as much as possible. The HOP scenes are outnumbered by the mini-games that offer quite a variety of puzzles. I recommend this adventure for players of all levels. Enjoy....

I think this is one of the best games offered thus far in 2016. Myths of the World: Born of Clay and Fire Collector's Edition is a hidden object adventure game in which your goal is to collect useful objects and combine them in order to advance from one scene to the other. There are interactive hidden object scenes and puzzles to solve as well, and they usually REALLY challenge you to find the right patterns, or to move certain objects in such a way as to unlock a certain mechanism. You play the role of ILONA, daughter to an acclaimed Alchemist. Your home town of Prague of under the threat of destruction and you must face the Tyrant Libor and his Gargoyle army in order to save the day. When a Clayborne Super Gargoyle is forged from clay and fire the situation seems almost impossible to defeat, but you must and use all of your Alchemy knowledge in the process. It is your duty to protect the other inhabitants and find out how to stop the creature from destroying the city altogether. As always, the graphics are sublime, at least if you do not mind the lack of a third dimension, or the inability to walk around freely. However, in my minds eye this means that every scene is beautifully hand drawn and as detailed as possible, which is a lot more pleasant than a lot of 3D games out there. In addition, there’s really excellent voice acting to add some personality to the characters. I thought the story was very unique, original, and extremely engaging. Half way thru the adventure I almost referred to the strategy guide because I was confused about directives, but I didn't because I feel like I am cheating when I do. I have played all of the Myths of the World editions and this one seems the most difficult with regard to gameplay and some of the puzzles were way to hard and I had to "SKIP". Some of these puzzles might require quite a bit of reasoning, but you always have the option to "SKIP" them entirely if you choose a lower difficulty level. It may not be fair, but there’s nothing fun about the game if you struggle and you are frustrated all the time. All in all, Myths of the World: Born of Clay and Fire Collector's Edition is a great entry in the series, a well as quite the pleasant hidden object adventure game on its own. Hence, if you are a fan of the genre, this should definitely be on your list. Beginners may need the strategy guide so I am glad its included. Worthy of far more than just 5 stars this series just gets better and better...I highly recommend!!!

I recommend this game!

This was an insta- buy after only minutes of the demo for me. Royal Trouble: Honeymoon Havoc is a hidden object adventure game in which your purpose is to navigate every scene and look for useful items that might come in handy later on. There are some actual puzzles to tackle as well, most of which require you to find specific objects before they can be activated. Hence, it’s a pretty addictive combination, at least if you are in the mood for a comical mystery. The story is not very complex, but it is pretty fun and engaging. As such, Loreen and Nathaniel decide to spend their honeymoon visiting the Merry Castle, a fun park containing all sorts of rollercoasters and magic tents. However, it all goes wrong when a villain Lord Drak decides to make their life a living "you know what" by removing all the fun bits and leaving only deadly traps behind. (Giggle) Each location has multiple scenes you must investigate carefully, because you need every item in order to solve the puzzles and open the way further into the game. It becomes rather repetitive after a while, but it’s certainly addictive if you are a fan of the genre. On top of it all, the puzzles can be quite demanding sometimes, even if you have the option to skip them entirely on the lower difficulty levels. Speaking of which, the levels are very detailed and nicely designed, which makes for a memorable journey throughout the game. This is mostly thanks to the great artwork and the colorful graphics, even if the scenes are static and there is no actual interaction with the environment except for the scripted events. There is also some really funny narration to keep the illusion going and inspire some personality into the characters. The voice of the narrator cracked me up with his remarks about Loreen and Nathaniel. This is also A great sequel for the fans of the original. All in all, Royal Trouble: Honeymoon Havoc is a must have game for hidden object lovers, especially if you are in the mood for a few puzzles as well. On top of that, the atmosphere is nice too, and the story is interesting enough to keep you playing. I look forward to more SE like this and I will definitely buy the first Royal Trouble game. Players of every level are in store for a wacky wonderful adventure.

I thoroughly enjoyed the casual gameplay of Punished Talents 2: Stolen Awards. The story of this game immediately puts you in the 12-little-indians mode (at least in my imagination). You play as one of the scientists who gathered together to compete for one of the most honorable awards in the scientific world, Pride of Humanity. Things get more interesting when one of you gets ill and you get stuck in the castle cut off from the outside world. The castle is a great place for some HOPA fun. You will have to use all of the knowledge that you have to find the potential murderer. There is a bonus game where you get to catch a madman on a train (another great mini-plot). The game's characters are one of the essential parts of such stories. And these scientists are no disappointment. Some of them are more eccentric than other. The game features some real actors for their characters too with excellent voice acting. The graphics are your typical HOPA scenes with a lot of items hidden and scattered for you explore. Another fun part of the game is the profiles of some of the scientific inventions. You unlock those with the morphing objects. This is where entertainment meets education for adults and kids. The media extras, music, concept art, wallpaper, are yours at the end of the game. The game provides you with a strategy guide to make your way through the game and not miss anything. There are four modes to choose from: Casual, Advanced, Hardcore, and Custom. "I'm really enjoying Custom these days". The puzzles come in different shape and form as well as difficulty level. Most of them are science-themed and are not very hard. They seem to outnumber the hidden object scenes. The collectibles and the achievements add more challenge and allow you more time in the game. I finished this CE in a little over 5 hours and I recommend it for gamers of every level of play.
