I love the Living Legends series and Immortal Love, and now these developers take the genre to a whole different level. Edge of Reality: Ring of Destiny is a hidden object adventure game in which you play the role of an ordinary woman who gets herself into an extraordinary situation. The gameplay mechanics are pretty much the same as in every other game in the genre, but the adventure is engaging enough to keep you distracted from this fact. Not only that, but some of the puzzles can put you to the test if you are not familiar with the usual tricks. As for the story, it all starts when the main character decides to adopt a dog and is about to take it home in her car. However, the dog (whose name is Ice) starts acting all anxious when they reach a nearby swamp, which is when she decides to let it lead her to the place in question. As it turns out, she finds a powerful ring in the water and she is transported to a different dimension once she puts it on. I was totally captivated with the story by this point which is early in the adventure. Most fantasy stories contain some kind of powerful item that can decide the fate of the entire world, given the fact that the faction with control over it is guaranteed to win the war. There’s always some kind of adventure surrounding the artifact in question, which happens to be the case with the game at hand as well, although it’s a bit more complicated than that. As always, most of your time is spent trying to figure out what items can be picked up and how can you combine them in order to unlock the way to the next area. It actually gets pretty intense after a while, and the objects you have to find are never the same. I thought the puzzles were pretty exciting, although most of them are just asking you to unlock some kind of mechanism or find a specific pattern. Things are quite decent in the graphics department, and there are even some 3D objects part of certain scenes, such as the dog in the beginning. The level design is very engaging as well, and you can tell that a lot of work went into every scene to make them as detailed as possible. There’s even exceptional voice acting and a nice soundtrack to keep you company along the way. It's a fantastic trip to a different dimension worthy of Editor's Choice Award. Ring of Destiny may not impress players with it's puzzle quality or exciting new gameplay mechanics, but the journey and the story is definitely worth the bother, especially if you are a fan of the genre. In addition, the game world looks gorgeous, and it’s a pleasure to explore it...
I love all the editions and now Eipix presents the next installment of the much beloved Amaranthine Voyage series! You've received a distress signal from the frozen world of Corra and what a world it is. Exploring an alien world should be a great adventure, regardless of how hostile or dangerous the world in question might be and Eipix really delivers with this edition. Scify fantasy worlds are even more exciting, given the fact that they can also contain all sorts of creatures and magic artifacts. It is also possible to obtain something nice by combining the two concepts together. The main objective in this phenomenal game is to explore a frozen world and save its inhabitants. You play the role of an explorer whose task is to rescue people from different worlds and solve problems. The gameplay is standard for the genre, which means that most of the time you’ll be scouring the environments for useful items, while the rest of the time you’ll be busy solving various puzzles, some more difficult than others and the hidden object puzzles require extra brain power because you are searching for foreign items in the FAR FUTURE which are less than familiar. The story starts with a crash and an unexpected turn of events, although you should probably be familiar with the premise if you are intimate with the series. As it turns out, you end up in a frozen world called Corra, and things are not looking very well. In essence, the people of Corra are dying, and they need someone’s help in order to overcome to hardships ahead. I thought the hidden object scenes were pretty cool, especially since there are multiple mechanics working together to provide you with a much more dynamic experience. In addition, the world exploration is pretty neat as well. The puzzles are not terribly difficult, but they can make you break a light sweat if you disable the hints and you do not use the skip button. Moreover, the graphics are very detailed as well, which works wonders for the game’s atmosphere. The same goes for the voice acting and the sound effects, because they all come together to provide you with quite the experience. The EXPERIENCE is different than any of the other editions in the series. In the end, Amaranthine Voyage: Winter Neverending is well written and very original, and the puzzles are pretty unique as well, but there’s something quite cozy about the game like you are really there. Hence, if you are up for a nice experience and you do not mind the wintery feeling it evokes, this adventure will keep you busy for a while. Excellent job and worthy of the 4/5 star rating!
This was an insta-buy for me. A remarkable edition that embraces ground breaking technological advances with an extraordinary mythological story. When gods are fighting each other, mortals suffer the consequences. In Dark Romance 3: Kingdom of Death Collector’s Edition Game you will play the role of both mortals — Elias and Persephone. Hades had chosen Persephone, Zeus’ daughter, as a lure for her father. So he kidnaps Persephone during her betrothal with Elias! While they were changing flowers promising to marry each other, Hades changes Persephone’s flower into thorns and drags her to the Underworld, the world of Death! Poseidon, God of the Sea also has a hand in this devious plan to bring Zeus (King of the Gods) to the Underworld. Now it's up to Elias the male character to retrieve and assist Persephone in her quest. By playing both roles in this exciting adventure it adds an element of difficulty and intrigue you won't be able to get enough of. The graphics are stunning and the sound/SFX and VO's are extremely detailed. I didn't even look at the tiny text of dialogue because the lip-sync is perfection. You will also meet other famous characters from Greek Mythology as you work together to solve problems and put their romance to the ultimate test in this intriguing twist on the tale of Persephone! I think this release is a contender for 2016 Game of the Year. Good Luck and Enjoy!!!
● Unravel the secrets of the Minotaur's Labyrinth in the bonus chapter! ● Revisit your collections in the Boudoir ● Explore wallpapers, soundtrack, and more! ● Never get stuck again with the included strategy guide!
Cadenza: Havana Nights Collector's Edition is a hidden object adventure game in which you have to save your brother’s business and unmask a mysterious guitar player at the same time. The game is pretty straightforward when it comes to the gameplay mechanics, because you should already know what to do if you have any experience with HOPAs. I am a big fan of the series, since the previous installments were so incredible I can't help but compare this edition to the others. If you are new to the series then you may really enjoy this one, but maybe not if you have played all three....The story is not very complex either, but it’s somewhat exciting to watch it unfold, and even more so to participate in it. As such, you have come to Havana in order to help your brother with his club business, given the fact that he needs some musical talent and you are a pretty skilled musician. However, a mysterious guitar player starts attacking random people around town, including you and your brother. Good graphics and excellent VO's with Hispanic accents. Most of the environments contain an insane amount of detail, too, especially when it’s a hidden object sequence. Obviously, the cut scenes are not as exciting or as good-looking as they could be, but they certainly get the point across. I still remain a fan, but demo first to see if this editions interests you enough to purchase.
I really had great fun playing this SE and it's a long game. I played longer than four hours and enjoyed every moment, at least 6 chapters. (You) take the role of Elizabeth, a strong and confident hero, as she explores visually striking environments in her efforts to learn the truth. Search for clues in a ruined island town, use your wits to overcome terrifying creatures, and avoid the smoke monster that threatens to end your journey. To advance, you'll need to find four dolls and use each one's unique power. You'll need the power of ICE, FIRE, ELECTICITY, and TELEKINESIS in order to combat a multitude of obstacles, challenges, and monsters to progress forward in this very unique HOPA. What begins as a strange little Pirate story soon becomes something all together OUT OF THIS WORLD. Just as the demo ends and you begin chapter 2 you won't want to break away for a moment. Yes the graphics could have been more detailed and they could have included voice acting. Once you are engaged in the story though, you are more drawn to the action and the story and even the written dialogue becomes minimal. Gamers from beginner to expert can have a blast with this one and feel child-like while playing. This isn't a kids adventure and I highly recommend.
Okay Emma Roberts (you) have been selected as the most qualified Investigative Journalist for this latest assignment. When the Editor of the magazine calls you on your cell he informs you that fellow Journalist Jack has disappeared researching paranormal activity in the Black River area. Four people were killed in a fire at the Black River Ranch in the 19th century. Now, their spirits from the past are back to haunt the residents living there. Even though the events revolve around the old house, the true evil is usually not in things but in people. You are now responsible for the case that your colleague was supposed to be working on. And he was... right before he disappeared. The house is now occupied by a lonely artist. But it has not always been like that. He used to have a daughter, who was kidnapped by a ghost, and soon thereafter his wife died. But wait that is not the whole story. This house used to belong to a person accused of sorcery and a few deaths and subsequently the house was burned by the villagers scared of the rumors. Will this house and its occupants need to be destroyed and stopped again? You'll have to discover this answer as you do everything you can to over come every challenge, puzzle, and intense hidden object areas to reach the banks of the Black River! Fear for Sale: The House on Black River's engaging story unveils in a quite dramatic way. The tension grows as you discover one part of the story after another. The beautiful graphics and the fitting music and voice overs do a great job creating the perfect atmosphere for the past to meet the present and for the natural to meet the unnatural. Whoever narrates the voice of Emma Roberts is bloody fantastic! I have been a huge fan of this series since it was introduced, and this installment is one of the best. A great starting point for beginners who aren't familiar with the series. This CE has all those media extras you would expect - wallpaper, screensavers, concept art, soundtracks, and music. The bonus chapter challenges you with another drama but if you choose SE version you won't miss this extra. You get to know the family of the original owner a little better. What a Blast!!! The investigation is real for you as a player too since you get to look at and interact with a lot of things in this game. First of all, it is fun that different little things and creatures are responsive to your touch, so point-and-click at lots of stuff. Photos, lamps, doors, crows..... you'll be surprised at the very least. Secondly, there is a ton of inventory to pick up and work with. Some are quite complex. Don't forget about all the Collectibles (25) and Beyond Objects (34) among all else. Achievements (9) earn you points to show off your journalistic skills. The hidden object scenes offer a variety of searches, some of which are multi-step with puzzles in them. There is a good variety of them, but if you want to skip some of them or all together you can switch to a jigsaw puzzle available instead. The puzzles are all fun and different too. They seem to be a bit easy, but that always depends on you skills. I hope this franchise continues to Trend.....I think fans are goings to love this! I highly recommend this paranormal thriller to players of every level. Good Luck!
I absolutely love this series. From the beginning where Professor Ashmore raises you as his own child to help you discover your supernatural past in Chronicles from beyond. Then 20 years later you deal with the ultimate challenge of facing Ragnar, the most powerful demon of the underworld in Next Chapter. Now five years have passed since you defeated Ragnar but demons are still here. Your friend Officer Brown invited you to the crime scene, where Olivia Martin has been murdered. Officer Brown believes it was work of the demon. Moreover, Olivia’s daughter Fiona has gone missing since that fateful night! Get help from the gravedigger concerning specifics facts about the case. Meet the Priest Father Jones, he is in the Greenhouse but it won't be easy getting in. Now you realize that demonic forces are the reason for these atrocities! Use your talents and your wits to follow tracks of the kidnapper and find out, why does he need little Fiona, what purpose?? Find out who killed Olivia Martin and took her daughter Fiona in this beautiful and gothic Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure. It's a phenomenal adventure with Unique hand illustrated art/graphics which look very 3D. The voice overs are stunning....if you look into the character's eyes you don't have to read the text. Text is in small print at the top of your screen this time. This Gripping Gothic Game is everything I expect from this genre and more. There are some mystic sublevels in Demon Hunter III: Revelation Collector’s Edition, where you'll search for more than enough tributes. Demon Hunter 3: Revelation is full of emotional encumbrances and delightful trophies as well as loads of additional enigmatical whereabouts. I know Fans of the series are going to love this for their collection. If you are new to the series....this is an excellent place to start. Players of all Levels can enjoy this Supernatural Thriller!!! What a great week for the Mariaglorium design Team. BRAVO!
The Collector's Edition includes the following Bling: Get all achievements, such as Jack of all Trades and Matchmaker! Gather dozens of collectible coins! Find all collectible dolls through the game! Restore Olivia Martin’s family tree, started by Arthur Brown! A Great Bonus Adventure!
I really loved this edition to Mystery of the Ancients. You are called in to test and investigate the house for some mysterious activity. A couple that is about to get married experience some ghostly presence in the house (who would want that added to all the pre-wedding chaos?). What you thought would be a simple check turns into a real challenge as you get deeper in the story. The ghost of an ex-girlfriend seems to be quite determined for revenge. As a supernatural specialist you are caught up in this love triangle. The graphics of the game and the voice overs are quite good. The colors and the light is just right - not too dark and with a lot of detail which I really appreciate. There is an AWESOME bonus game that turns into a trip in the underworld for you. The game is offered in four modes: Casual, Advanced, Expert, and Custom. The hints and skips are adjustable 1-90 seconds. A map and a strategy guide is provided to help you get about and get through some of the challenges if you need. You get a magic token that protects you from the evil power of the ex. There seems to be a well balence between the hidden object scenes and the game's puzzles. You need to solve a match-3 game throughout the game to defeat the power of the angry ghost. The hidden object scenes are presented with a great variety of searches. You get the multi-step ones, the story ones, the locate ones and other. Then you stumble upon different kinds of puzzles along the way. As for the collectibles, you are to find all the 9 statues and 25 bats. 18 achievements are another part of the extras, and they give you 21 jigsaw puzzle pieces to collect. And, of course, you get all the media extras to download and enjoy outside of the game (music, wallpaper, concept art, video). Long time fans of the series are in for a treat, if you aren't familiar with the series this is an excellent starting point. Here are more editions as I remember playing them. Enjoy!

Vendel developers have created another excellent edition to this popular series, it may be their best in the series so far. It’s Love Chronicles 5: Beyond the Shadows Collector’s Edition and in it you will play as Queen Alura’s daughter, Princess Lerione! Just as before, Princess Lerione is kidnapped. This time she is pulled into the Shadow World. But now Princess Lerione has just had her 21st birthday and can take care of herself! With the powerful magical artifact given to her by her Mother and mentor, and the guidance of the wise wizard Lucio, Lerione can find a way home by herself! But darkness is tempting her. Princess Lerione drawn into the shadow world receives an offer to determine the fate of two worlds, using her artifact for good or for evil. This is the best feature of the game, for you can eliminate your adversary by dispersing Light Magic or Dark Magic, the choice is yours. With it, you will determine the ultimate fate of the worlds of Light and Shadow! Will you stand with the forces or light, or fall prey to the darkness lurking within, as your mother once did? Fans will find out in this spine-tingling hidden object puzzle adventure! I thought the graphics and the voice overs, and the sound/SFX merits at 4/5 rating but the story is also very compelling. Beginners and Expert players can enjoy this continuing saga. I hope Vendel continues producing this series with quality effects and engaging storylines....
I loved this new series. Series seem to be what's trending these days at Big Fish. This edition is an eccentric tail from the ivory tower of mythology. Your friend is delivering a lecture on the famous Minotaur of antiquity, which everyone knows had gone extinct long before… or has he? At the lecture, a mysterious man makes the bold claim that the Minotaur is alive and well, only hidden away in his labyrinth where he awaits another birth. Once the Minotaur comes back, he has the full intention of causing all sorts of trouble. That’s where you step in. You play the role of Pamela, the Chosen One, descendant of Ariadne, who is the only human being who is able to stand up to this beast. Can you stop him before he does his evil work? It's up to you because you have been chosen by the Gods and given a torch granting you special powers. You will have the opportunity to reach out onto a hidden exotic island on a quest to find the supposedly fictitious beast, the Pegasus, in a bonus game that will knock your socks off! Throughout the Collector’s Edition, there are hidden flying insects(28) that you can collect along the way as well as morphing flowers (20) to pick up. Even the ones who are freaked out by the insects will do find with the ones in the game. Most of them are so pretty! If you play the CE version there are some achievements (24) that you can earn and unlock as you go which have come down from the gods themselves. There are four difficulty modes: Casual, Advanced, Expert, and Custom. In the CE version Map and Strategy Guide are provided as you play. The hidden object scenes are mostly lists and silhouettes (but are not limited to), but they are well thought through to engage you as much as possible. The HOP scenes are outnumbered by the mini-games that offer quite a variety of puzzles. I recommend this SE adventure for players of all levels. Enjoy....
