Lots of chores to take care of to locate this that and the other. There were crisis situations that required attention . Good seek and find of tools and such.
The game exhibited on my system what seemed a memory management problem. Clicking to locations and having the scene appear was a painful experience.
When I found that I was taking a lot of hints and puzzle skips I had to admit that boredom due to load time had over taken enjoyment.
Decided to quit the game and play again another time.
Played the demo and while the game is not for me other should give it a ride for many will enjoy.
I have spent past days playing what I call games on my classic list.
These games have a number of things in common. One is that while providing clues they were subtle in other words the player had to think for themselves.
Another point I admired about the games, they had great journal entries, clues were often in the journals. The journals were almost a novel.
Hidden Objects of past required the player to really hunt and seek. Games like the Midnight Mysteries and Mystery Case Files were so much fun.
Recently we were treated to a game called Facility 47, not a fancy game, price was to good to pass up. The challenge of the game was fantastic. The + was that the game ended up offering clues but the player had to really pay attention and think. The forum for this game lit up with gamers asking questions and others offering solutions, Moments of community.
We need for development teams to get back to challenging the gamer otherwise what the gamer gets is a presentation of programming skills where the programer is showing off "look at how clever I did that".
We need games where play time last for days.
Hope that my message is taken with all due respect,
