One of the worst games I've played in a long time, so many mini games just deterred from the flow of the game. Hidden object games = Rare! Picture stories where you need to click on words is just lazy developers. Lacked clarity and directions, so just used the hint. Characters are confusing and story line is not entertaining or enticing enough to pull me further into the game. Some good graphics but many were inferior, poor representation from these developers. Not worth my time to finish it, so beware and test the game before you purchase it, if you are basing your purchase on past presentations from these developers. Downhill slide last few offerings. Need more focus on quality, crafting, story, and characterization...and consistency!
Overall: Good graphics and sounds. Repetitious music that became annoying. Good hint response, and map transports. Excellent forward game, good story, interesting scenes, well developed, thought out game. Hope to see another but with more HOG than mini games and a stronger closure. Bonus game left me saying “What.” Instead of moving forward with additional closure or hint of a sequence, it was just confusing.
Graphics: Good Sounds: Good Music: Loud, repetitive, turned way down Characters: Good, attractive
Hints: Good response.
Map: Transports
HOG: Mostly clear objects, good variety, some combinations, more in bonus game, but towards the end became dark and hard to see objects.
Mini: Easy to complete. Most doable, but a few didn’t seem to work, most just annoying, finish one another pops up, finish it, etc., unless you are a mini game fan.
Overall: Excellent graphics and characterization Not the best effort from this developer. Bizarre scenes, confusing mini games with way too many of them and story just seemed to ramble without much direction.Long game.Did not enjoy the start of the game, encountered a number of weird locations that really didn’t make any sense.Lack of clarity where to go and what to do, overloaded inventory, often double click on hidden objects, mini games were confusing and some didn’t work. Need to go back to the drawing board and run another test on all features.Final mini game was just overkill but with okay ending. Bonus game didn’t impress either.
Graphics: Excellent Sounds: Good Music: Okay but too often repetitious Characters: Nicely designed, human appearance, detailed Hints: Long wait, never looks full, transports at times and with lack of direction it needs to reset faster Map: Didn’t use
HOG: Often had to click item more than twice to connect; poor pretesting and not enough games for a “Hidden Object Game.” Music during HOG often repetitive and annoying and turned it off.
Mini: Way too many! Some were bugged, many unclear and didn’t make any sense, repetitious games, and some just down-right annoying. A few were easy but most very time consuming and redundant.
Overall: Well done crafting and excellent graphics but a lot of back and forth and have to click on some items, that are obvious, a couple of times to make them work. Nothing new or unexpected in this journey, but if you like long games, this is one for you and if you love mini games another plus for mini fans. As far as direction there is little clarification where to go and what to do, so the hint comes in very handy. Rather weird, creepy and strange story line, can’t skip introduction, and the game ends abruptly for all the time spent in this rather long, drawn out journey Graphics: Good to excellent Sounds: Excellent Music: Good Characters: Well crafted. Hints: Excellent Map: Excellent-teleports HOG: Excellent clarity and some objects are interactive. Mini: Easy to very time consuming. There are way too many Mini Games. Also you are required to create, put together a number of objects, potions, etc.
Overall: Excellent graphics, sounds and music. Great characters.Nothing new on story line, save father, save the world. Great Hidden Object Games but more Mini Games than HOG. Way too many Mini Games; it became annoying. For such a well-crafted game in all other aspects I was very disappointed to be forced into so many frustrating Mini Games. Sadly welcomed the skip button. Now if you are a Mini fan you’ll love this one. The hint could have been a little faster because of the lack of clarity as to where and what to do with items picked up. The game was rather short and the ending predictable but at least with a good closure and no left questions. I haven’t completed the bonus game, but will probably go back another day to finish it. I would have given this a solid 4 but with so many Mini Games the fun factor plummeted.
Graphics: Excellent plus. Sounds: Very well done. Music: Enjoyable. Characters: Well done, good voice overs.
Hints: Could be a bit faster since many of the objects were unclear as to where they went and what to do with them. Map: Didn’t use.
HOG: Excellent and very well developed. Mostly clear objects, but a few in dark.
Mini: Not a fan of Mini Games. This was honestly a horrible experience. You get a “grapple” that requires upgrades and each time you must do a Mini Game to improve your “grapple” skills. Now where have I seen grapples before? I found the Mini Games annoying because there were so many and was happy when the “skip” button appeared!
Morph/Collect: Only if I happened to click on one. I just wanted to finish this.
Overall: Great graphics, upbeat music that wasn’t repetitive and the sounds were super especially the car scene. This production was unique and a much welcomed change of pace, innovative and with forward thinking design and development concepts. The story was divided in two acts that progressed smoothly from one to the other with an underlying connection to the main character’s missing sister. The story moved effortlessly with well-crafted scenes and characters. Both the mini games and hidden object games were creative and enjoyable. You have to think a little outside the box, but that was what I enjoy. He had to put a flag together. No stitching with thread and needle, he stapled it together; now there’s a man for you! I hope this positive response will give us more episodes to eventually find his sister and enjoy the journey along the way. Just wish it had been a little longer, but good start.
Graphics: Excellent Sounds: Very Good! Music: Very Good! Characters: Human. Excellent voice overs and characterization! Some emotion, less motion, but in this case it really doesn’t take away from the experience. Hints: Excellent Map: Excellent HOG: Very interesting and varied, not as many as most games, but enjoyed the experience and welcomed the change from average. Mini: Excellent variety and innovation. Not a mini fan, I enjoyed most of them and even the ones that were a bit difficult I made an attempt because they were different and rather intriguing. Morph/Collect: No
Overall: This is one of the most beautifully crafted games I’ve played in a long time, an extraordinarily well designed game with attention to detail and clarity. It was a pleasure to explore and fun to see what was around the next corner. Each scene has been outstanding in design. Anyone with visibility issues will be thrilled with this game. The development that went into this game is phenomenal! The story moved forward nicely and of course the Queen had to save her kingdom and bring “world peace.” It’s a rather short game but one you can replay at different levels and well worth the cost. Well done Mad Head!
Graphics: Beautiful. The colors and design are exceptional. The clarity of objects and scenes was remarkable. One of the best developed games I’ve played.
Sounds: Excellent.
Music: Excellent. Didn’t have to turn down or off.
Characters: Exquisitely designed and beautiful human characters and others along the way just as good. The voice overs a bit over the top, a mix of Ireland, Britain and Scotland, but didn’t distract from the game. Still made you smile.
Hints: Excellent. Reset a bit slow, but worth the wait.
Map: Transports you to task area and shows completed and unavailable tasks.
HOG: Outstanding design. Superb crafting! Objects were designed with focus on detail and visibility was clear for all objects. Excellent variety! Also, a little challenge to find some of the items, so not just a grab and run design.
Mini: From easy to complex. Again these were beautifully crafted mini games and well thought out designs. This is a good one for mini fans. Some had 2-3 parts and not a fan of these I got past 1 or 2 and moved on but others will enjoy the challenge.
Morph/Collect: None
I recommend this game!

Subliminal Realms: The Masterpiece
Albert's worst nightmare becomes reality when a creature from his grim paintings kidnaps his family. What does she want?
Overall: Very good graphics but in a childlike technique and not up to Boolat’s reputation for extraordinary games. I purchased this game primarily because I enjoyed other Boolat developed games. Graphics were filled with primary colors, but not overdone. The game offered strange locations and rather disjointed scenes. But this story was about an artist who was into Dali dreamlike, bizarre paintings. The surreal theme was a bit hard to get used to but once into it, it was interesting and different, which is good. The helper was just weird. The hint was excellent and transported you to the next location with a quick reset. The game was rather long and even with the unusual theme it was different from many of the “customary” formula games. It was worth the time to complete and provided closure.
Graphics: Surreal graphics somewhat childlike. Many interesting and strange scenes…Dali themed. The inventory items gave the illusion of a child’s drawing, but they were large enough to see well and that goes for the HOG items.
Sounds: Good.
Music: Jazz theme which often didn’t seem to fit, but then what would?
Characters: The family was well depicted. The remaining was strange and stranger. Helper had an accent that was difficult to determine his origin. Some interesting and unique “things” you interact with along the way.
Hints: Very well done. Fast reset. It transported you to the next location which was a good thing, because I was never sure where to go next or even how to get there.
HOG: Surreal and many made little sense, but there was lots of interaction and very clear and visible objects except when you had to uncover one, but that added a bit more challenge. Numerous games with a good variety, so if you like HOG you’ll enjoy these.
Mini: From easy to a bit more complex, but mostly doable. Not for the hard-core mini fan, yet some were very well crafted and interesting.
Overall: Excellent all around a game. Exceptional graphics and attractive, outstanding characters. The action flowed smoothly forward with brilliant design and creativity throughout. Enjoyable HOG and Mini Games. One of the best games I’ve played! Outstanding graphics that pulled you into an adventure and catapulted you into the world of pirates and rogues, tremendous fun. Should have a first-rate 5 plus rating!
Graphics: Excellent
Sounds: Excellent
Music: Excellent.
Characters: Superb.
Hints: Transport to next scene.
Map: Excellent.
HOG: Very well crafted, different and offered options.
Overall: Great graphics, good stand alone story, interesting scenes, clear items, not a lot of back and forth and if you had to return to an old scene the hint transported you there. This game was entertaining and enjoyable with a good pace and offered a fun journey. It’s not a real long game, but it’s one the whole family can enjoy together and a game I will play again. The New York Mystery games are well designed and crafted and worth giving one or more a try.
Graphics: Excellent clarity of all objects, scenes. Well crafted.
Sounds: Very appropriate.
Music: Didn’t have to turn off, not intrusive to the game.
Characters: Human with a touch on the cartoon, mostly attractive and not distracting from the game, very well done
Hints: Transported you to next scene and moved the game steadily forward which I prefer.
Map: Could use to transport but didn’t really need it with the excellent hint transport.
HOG: Interactive and fun, so you have a bit of a challenge, mostly find objects vs lists. Clear objects and good visibility, and no dark hidden corners.
Mini: Varied and well crafted, probably not as challenging as some, but as a non-mini fan I genuinely enjoyed them and only skipped a couple.
