As always, I will start with the length of the game since I search through review looking for that right away. On Expert mode with no hints or skips, I took about 6 hours in the main game. Since I purchased the CE, the bonus chapter was about 30 minutes, also on Expert mode. I enjoyed the extra background the bonus chapter brought along, but the main game wrapped up just fine on its own.
However, this is probably the FIRST and ONLY game, I can actually say honestly is worth extra money as a CE for me. Not because of the bonus chapter but because the extras were so much fun. I am 100% not a collectibles or morphing objects person. At all. But this game had awesome little puzzles that opened up after the bonus chapter was completed and actually gave the player incentive to search for the collectibles, instead of just a room full of trophies at the end. There were about 4 fun different things to do in the Extras after the gameplay was over, including a cute little arcade game and alchemy table. I was definitely impressed. And for the first time, I actually recommend investing in a CE, instead of an SE.
The storyline of the game bothered me the most…I was not sympathetic at all towards the child we were helping…at all. But the bonus chapter made her grow on me a bit, and the plot line held its own, as far-fetched as it was. I guess bad apples still are worth helping after all!
Definitely this game was given a massive amount of thought and creativity, the graphics and cut-scenes were nothing out of the ordinary but the mini-puzzles were quite new and inventive which made up for the story ten-fold.
A definite buy for me!
Happy gaming, Big Fishies!
I recommend this game!

I was very surprised and impressed by how much I enjoyed playing this game. As a big fan of Nearwood and Flights of Fancy, I loved the over-exaggerated lush scenery and clothing, as well as the adorable side option of furnishing your little pet's room with coins you find along the way.
Length of the game is always very important to me so I will start with that first: On Expert mode, it took me about 6 1/2 hours to play the main game, and about 30 min to play the bonus game with no hints or skips. I was a bit disappointed with the length of the extra game but the main game was very satisfying with a wonderful ending that was not abrupt or cut short at all.
As other reviewers have stated, this game is not very difficult or mind-bending at all, but there are some refreshing new mini-puzzles, and I enjoyed the different HOs. The graphics are great, the game is intriguing, although the good vs evil has been done to death, and I loved being able to jump to 5 different locations on the back of a golden dragon.
Overall, a very refreshing fantastical love story with some fun twists and turns, cute cat and dragon side-kicks, and enough locations and puzzles to keep the game interesting!
Happy gaming, Big Fishies!
I recommend this game!

As many of the other reviews have said, this game has absolutely stunning graphics and cutscenes. The individual locations are also visually gorgeous, although the voiceovers are a bit weak at times.
My biggest deciding factor on any game is the length. I played on Expert mode with no hints, and the main game took me about 5 1/2 hours. Since I also played the CE version, the bonus chapter took me a surprising 45 minutes, which made the overall length quite satisfying to me both as a CE and a SE.
The puzzles themselves were nothing mind-bending. Fishing objects out of an aquarium, making a potion, melting metal on a fire, etc have been done to death and were all present in this game. However, the HOs were very clear and well-spaced, the beautiful graphics saved the day, and the story progressed at a fast enough pace that my interest in the game stayed steady.
Of course, this series is about an aunt rescuing every single one of her relatives by going into the past and changing the future outcome. It gets a little tiring to have such dense nephews and nieces and sisters that are constantly destroying the family tree and humanity in the process. If you are looking for a new idea in this series, it is not here. It is another Auntie rescue mission. But the fresh twists and plot still hold their own and I definitely enjoyed this latest game in the series. Here's hoping for more!
Happy gaming, Big Fishies!

I am sure this will probably be an unpopular review of this game. But frankly, I get really frustrated seeing all the 5 star reviewers with hundreds of likes on their reviews. It makes the game seem so amazing until you click onto the reviewers' stat page and see that they give out five stars to EVERY SINGLE game in the hope of being on the front page of the reviews…thus winning them more up votes. A game will be out for 3 hours on Big Fish, and already they have swarmed in, tested the demo, and IMMEDIATELY rate it five stars. It's reviews like that that people read first and then put their money into games that are sub-par quality because no one would rave that much about a game without meaning it…would they? They would.
This game has nothing spectacular. It is a linear 'rescue my beloved from evil', put mirrors in sunlight, hit birds with slingshots, spread salt on ice, and double HO scenes. The voiceovers were off, the graphics were average and the game play time was average as well. It was a love story with the typical slightly abrupt ending and a bonus chapter that, as usual, really didn't need to be played to get the gist of the game.
This game was also not worth spending money on a CE. It would probably stand alone as a SE version with a free credit to use, if you want to replay the same dark, brooding old abandoned theater type of game. When is something new and fresh coming out? I don't care if the graphics and cut-scenes in games are becoming more intricate and stunning if the plots are being reused and reused!
My advice: go and read the 3 and less reviews before you purchase a game. Don't stick to the front page and read the key contributors whose average rating for over 60 games is a 4.4 and higher. They aren't reviewing to help people invest their money in new exciting refreshing game. They are hoping for 'helpful likes' and not caring if the game is good at all. Then you'll be like me and end up with a forgettable rehashed gothic mess.
Happy gaming, Big Fishies!

I really really wanted to love this game. And if you are more prone to play games based on the graphics and mini games alone, not the actual story line then you will LOVE this game. But I love games for the stories themselves, which is why I was severely let down in this game.
I am not going to reveal anything in this review that would spoil the plot at all, but for the first time I wish I could...I can say that the plot involves a mystery that is completely ruined within the first hour by an anonymous voice that is completely recognizable. The end, while satisfactory, does NOT explain how it would be possible for the events to unfold the way they had over the years, even with the magic and fantasy thrown in. Completely non-existant mystery ruined by the voice overs...and the one part that I wanted explained at the end made absolutely NO logical sense. Details in the game were illogical...a loving tight-knit family that would allow their children to endanger themselves within view of the back of the house? Really? One family's heart ache drives an entire prosperous town to ruin? Even as a fantasy style game...I was completely uninspired and frustrated by it.
This game tries very very hard to be a physiological childhood angst game but any person looking for a game that gets them involved in the characters and stories will be sorely sorely disappointed.
However, the graphics were wonderful, the mini games were great and some were a bit new or different which was nice, the flashbacks themselves were handled with a twist, and the HOs were the normal junk piles.
If you want a game for the adventure/HO, by all means, this is a great great game. If you want a game that is plausible and connects you to the story and has surprises thrown at you, no. Still recommending because of the length and puzzles.
I recommend this game!

I was very hesitant buying this game because the CE got a lot of negative reviews, especially about the storyline and flow of the game which both are very important to me when I sit down to play a new game. After playing both the CE and SE, here are my thoughts about it.
The most important thing to me in any game is the length. I played on the hard setting and finished the main gameplay in about 5-6 hours…so the length was decent, and I had no problem with that.
The storyline itself was not half as bad as people made it sound; it wasn't so illogical that the plot made no sense, and I mean, it's a game about an underwater ghost…it's not going to hold itself against reality very well. I actually liked the banshee; her story was very sweet, the reason men were going missing was explained and it all fell into place very neatly. The ending was satisfying for the SE; a bit short and stilted but I thought it was wrapped up nicely.
There really was nothing very new or exciting about the game; no new mini-games or different HOs but I did like the many characters in the game, and the actual area of the game was very big compared to many of the other games I have played. The game had a style and feel that mimicked the 'Final Cut' games….one thing that did bother me at first was the size of the arrow symbol in the game, when I played the HOs I would have to move the arrow because it would be blocking items but I did get used to it after a short time.
I actually do recommend this game for anyone who likes the mermaid/ghost type stories, or to anyone who enjoyed the Final Cut series on here. It was fun and flowed well; had a nice size and length; and I had a fun time trying to stop a banshee and save a town in time for a wedding!
Happy gaming, Big Fishies!
I recommend this game!

I guess I am going a bit against the flow here by saying that this game really really disappointed me. After playing hundreds of games and especially Elephant games, I found not one single bit of this game original in the slightest. Help blonde Cinderella defeat the evil brown-haired fairy with the help of her blonde fairy Godmother. The only thing possibly bold and original about this game was the daring mullet haircut the Prince flaunts.
The graphics, of course, were stunning and crisp. The voice-overs were normal with good animations of characters and cute animals alike. The plot was yawn-inducing, an exact replica of hundreds of Cinderella and evil fairies that have marched before it. The length was average. It did not grab me in the slightest.
Two big things that bothered me: The map is helpful but from the first moment when you click on it, it shows EVERY place you will be in the game. In detail. I could see instantly what future scenes would look like, and it really bugged me because it took all the suspense of traversing a game right out. The second thing is the set-up of the scenes themselves. There would be tiny spots right next to each other or on the very edge of the screen that I would overlook or miss and later would find an object that was useless. I spent so much time walking around completely frustrated and used the hint button almost constantly to point out spots that I had not seen. Now, I have played many many games, and this never happens to me. Either I was really off my Big Fish game, or the way the active locations are spread out are really weird and tiny.
Overall, if you don't mind a used plot and generic good vs evil then go for it. The graphics really are beautiful, as always with Elephant games, and this would be a fun game for beginning Fishies out there or anyone who doesn't want a weird twisting storyline. The animals are adorable, the hint button is (extremely) helpful at times, the map fast-tracks, good sprinkling of puzzles, crisp HO's and the ending is satisfying. I suggest playing the demo to see if the game style is a bit frustrating like it was for me with the lack of direction, or maybe I was just having an off day.
Happy gaming, Big Fishies!
