I've just completed the main game and the bonus game and I really enjoyed it. This is my first Yuletide Legends game and I'm glad I bought it.
GOOD STUFF Christmas theme and music Various types of hidden object scenes Fun puzzles that were sometimes too easy and other times too difficult that I had to skip Interesting bad guy called Krampus and his back-story The journey to clear santa's name Bonus game was short but a lot of fun - a nice little adventure one goes on to find tonic for a very sick santa Loved the beautiful christmas graphics
BAD STUFF The game tends to veer away from the christmas theme when the ice queen gets involved and becomes more fantasy than a christmas game and that's why I gave it one less star. Luckily the bonus game brings one right back to christmas. The detective's voice is very high pitched and panicky even when she shouldn't be, that voice is better suited to the elf one plays in the bonus game.
Not as good as A Christmas Carol and the Nutcracker but still a really fun christmas game.

I played this game early last year and played it again now over the xmas period and I love it.
Good stuffs: Beautiful graphics and music Beautiful xmas theme Can choose your modes Morphing objects not that easy to spot which is a good thing Puzzles and HOS range from easy to difficult and are lots of fun. You can assist Scrooge to make changes to his past, present and future unlike the original story where he is just an observer. Doing good deeds to help others Bonus game takes place in the secret cat world where scrooge is a cat. It is not a repeat of the main game, you are helping to find santa and save xmas.
Bad stuff: Didn't find anything bad, just hope the developers keep the good xmas games coming.
I'd recommend playing this game mid-year as well, it will definitely cheer one up while you wait for the xmas season.

I just finished this beautiful chrismassy game and I'm happy that I bought it.
- Can choose your level of difficulty with skip and hint options - Various types of hidden object scenes, not the usual straightforward look for a hidden object. You also get an option to play match-3 instead of the HOG's - Beautiful storybook graphics and characters - Puzzles ranged from easy to difficult and they were fun - Bonus game is a new story but still related to the overall christmas theme and characters
Other reviews are incorrect when they say this game is only for kids, this game is thoroughly enjoyable for all.

The christmas wonderland games are perfect for the festive season but also great to play throughout the year. I just finished playing this one and I really enjoyed it. I found #8 quite boring as it seemed to be a rehash of the previous games in the series but I found #9 to be fun, some puzzles a bit challenging and sometimes I needed the hint or multiple hint for the HOS. The music is also wonderfully christmassy.
If there's going to be a #10 I would suggest a new family though, living in a different type of house in a different area all together. This will at least give the game a different spin for next christmas.

I was worried that the write-up sounded good but the game would suck but boy was I wrong!!!!
Storyline: I don't like to give this away as others still have to play. Lets just say that its not ghosts or other fantasy creatures involved which is a relief as its getting old now. This storyline reminded me of Village of the Damned/Under The Dome, it was super exciting
Graphics: Graphics and sound was good and it gave the game a small town look and feel.
Mode: You can choose your mode and customize it with or without map locations which was fantastic as there was no back and forth and at least you know which locations you are needed at without telling you exactly what to do.
Bonus Game: Instead of being a sequel, the bonus game is a prequel which led up to the events of the main game. Its not as interesting as the main game but it takes you to a different setting with different characters which keeps the game fresh.

I loved this game and will definitely replay it over the years to come. Others go in depth with storyline and gameplay, I never mention those things as it sums up the entire game.
Setting: Graphics definitely suit the old London storyline with music to match. Love riding around in a horse and carriage and feeling like a detective in those times.
Choice of outcome: Love that you get to choose the outcome of the game. Your decision changes the story at the end.
Bonus game: Really enjoyed the bonus game which hasn't happened in a very long time. You also get to choose your ending and Scrooge is part of the story which is fantastic.
Really hoping Dark City: Munich will be as good as this one.

I'm not sure why all the bad reviews though.
Mode: Various game modes and a custom mode which is my favourite.
Storyline: I enjoyed the storyline and the characters' conversations added to the game and story. You can hurry the conversation on if you don't want to listen/read everything.
Graphics: Beautiful and interactive. I realised that it was a Halloween themed party and that the game isn't necessarily spooky, I think I confuse those sometimes as I'm always looking for spooky when a game has Halloween in the title. Also finding achievement items was not easy at all, they're not in full view like other games which makes it a nice challenge.
HO & Puzzles: I always enjoy hidden object scenes and there weren't too many or too few. Some puzzles were very easy and others I had to skip as it was too difficult. Those that I did play I really enjoyed.
Bonus Chapter: You get to play another character which you interacted with in the main game and you play from their point of view which is a first for me and a really nice change. Bonus game was very short though.
Definitely try this game despite the reviews as it gets better further on into the story.

Found this one to be a nice challenge for a change. I really struggled to find the last recycling item and at least one of the main item so I had to use the hint on almost each scene. I didn't mind using the hint because I had to search really hard before I used it and it adds to the fun.
Beautiful scenery, lots of items to find, items within items, puzzles and my favs the recycling and wildlife.

I agree with other reviews, the scenes are so similar to the previous games its as if one is repeating the game. I found this game way to easy and tedious.
I however recommend Vacation Adventure 8, I've just finished playing that one and it was great. I actually had to use the hint button so the challenge was good.

Storyline: The game starts off promising but goes downhill immediately with very unspooky paranormal entities. There is a very surprising and tragic event but its done in such a way that doesn't seem scary or sad at all.
Atmosphere: There is creepy music but it seems to play only in between game-play instead of during which would give the game a creepy atmosphere. The silence doesn't make it creepy at all. Graphics are bright and beautiful and not creepy at all. I was freaked out by 2 spiders but that's a phobia and not related to the game.
CE Worthy: I didn't find the morphing objects that easy to find. I played the bonus chapter about a week and a half ago and I don't remember it at all, so very forgettable. I also found the main and bonus chapter very short.
