GOOD STUFF: Beautiful fairy tale scenes exactly like in my books when I was a kid. HOS are different as in you need to find parts which make a beautiful item and its really not that easy. Morphing objects are quite difficult to find which is a good thing. Lots to do, find and see.
BAD STUFF With all the Cinderella's and Pinocchio's parents, the story is a bit convoluted. Bonus game really boring so not worth the CE.

This game started off very spooky but after the old lady it became just a normal game and didn't feel very paranormal at all. I also don't think the CE is worth it as the bonus game is very short and not creepy at all except for the very last scene before the credits, reminded me of the doll from the conjuring.
I still recommend this game but wish they could carry the creepy factor right through the entire game.
One of my all time favourites is MCF Escape From Ravenhearst where you actually get into the mind of the killer. They did try really hard here and the voice reminded me of Dalimar from Ravenhearst but it just didn't come up to scratch. The killer toys with one but in a really boring annoying way and you don't really get a sense of what he's about.
I think this is only the 2nd game ever that i've stopped playing without finishing it but I just could not do the back and forth any more, it got really boring. There are so many places to go to in this game but it has such a vacant feel, it doesn't feel creepy or anything, just vacant.
Maybe i'll change my mind when I finish the game eventually but for now I just can't carry on playing.

I played the trial of this game years ago so I knew I needed to buy it. Yes the game could have concentrated more on the actual witch trials and less on politicians and land deals but its still a fun game and very well done. Its not always obvious where you need to go next and what to do next so I used the online walkthrough. Yes the facts get twisted but it makes for a nice history lesson as well.
Definitely a game that can be played over and over again.
I just finished playing this, had the sound off and played in the small screen as I'm at work but its still a classic. Played this game so many times and will always come back to it.
You get a very icy feel when playing this game and maybe its the developers intentions or maybe not but it fits perfectly with the static scenes of the married couple to-be and the sadness and tension between them.
Grim Tales The Legacy beats this game hands down but it really is a lovely game to keep playing over the years.
I really enjoyed this game, liked the graphics and storyline. Wasn't too easy nor was it too difficult but I needed to use the hint and SG here and there. What I like about this game is that it allowed one to travel around without having the exact inventory item which you need, some games limit you to certain areas if you don't have the item.
Yes each HOS is played twice but not too much back and forth and at least you have an idea of what you need to do with your inventory item.
The CE is a must as the SE ends very abruptly and you will be wondering what on earth happened to the game. I must admit even with the bonus game I thought I was headed to another puzzle or HOS when the game wraps but at least it doesn't leave one with unanswered questions.
Busy playing the original Christmas Wonderland and it beats this one hands down. This game feels like I"m playing 6 and 7 all over again. The scenes look exactly the same and objects are really easy to find.
If there is going to be a CW 9, please can the developers make some of the scenes at least a bit darker ie. night times scenes etc so that it makes the game a bit harder. I get that xmas cheeriness looks very similar but maybe you guys could give us a few different scenes please so that it feels like we're playing a new game.
Playing this game now for the 2nd time and love it. Its actually more challenging than the more recent Christmas Wonderland games, I have to use the hint button now and then. Fun game to play any time of the year and for all ages.
This game started out really well: grown-up Dorothy & Toto end up in Oz. They need to find their way back home and to do that they will need to assist others. Toto is a really nice touch to the game and really adorable and the two-way radio a really cool tool. However it got boring with a lot of back and forth, the story-line got quite convoluted instead of keeping it simple. I was surprised by the twist but it wasn't enough to make the game more exciting.
In theory the story-line sounds interesting and I'm a fan of older time periods but this game just couldn't keep me interested. Maybe I just need a break from HOG because they are all starting to look, sound and play the same way. I just wanted this game to end quickly and I'm glad I didn't buy the CE. Although, I read a comment that said the bonus chapter was actually better. I'm really sure others that are new to hidden object/puzzle games will quite enjoy this. I need a more interesting plot and game play, however.
