Happy to finally figure out what happened to Patrick. If you haven't played the first Letters from Nowhere, you don't have to play it to understand what's going on, but I definitely recommend buying it to get more of the picture on how the story has gone so far. I found it a little darker than the first with the same spooky music but with a few tweaks to make it even spookier and it had an overall darker feel to it. Along with the bonus items for purchase at the beginning of the chapters as well as the stamps in each HO scene, there is also a black cat and by finding them, you'll get achievements. There is incentive to find all the stamps as once you find enough stamps, you'll unlock an unlimited mode which will give you modified HO scenes to play. If you enjoyed the first one, this one is a must buy to see how the story ends.
I recommend this game!

If you enjoy games with a lot of HO scenes and minimal mini-games, this one is for you. Each chapter allows you to pick certain power-ups you can use, but the catch is that you have to find them in the HO scenes to take advantage of them. The music is spooky themed, but not scary that it makes you lose sleep at night. Each location has 3 stamps that if you find all of them, you get an achievement. Although you don't need to find all the stamps to progress in the game, it adds a little extra challenge in it as by the end of the game, they are very small and can be pretty difficult to find but not impossible. Story line is great as well and it keeps you guessing. Highly recommend getting this one as well as the next one, Letters from Nowhere 2.
I recommend this game!

Very surprised to see the low reviews for this game. I bought it without playing the trail since I already have the other ones so buying this was a no brainer. Very glad I did. The story takes place before Queen Sofia but still in the same land of humans with magic. Again three difficulties to chose from and the regular difficulty was the same as in the previous Awakening games. Had lots of hidden object scenes, but not as many minigames. The storyline seemed to be all summed up in the game which could be good or bad, we'll just have to wait and see. Another fantastic game by Boom Zap.
I recommend this game!

Giving the title has Three Musketeers in it, I figured they would be an important part of the game play. I was wrong, they are merely mentioned a few times and you only interact with one of them and it doesn't really add anything to the game. Yes I understand it's Constance's mission, but I was expecting more involvement with the Musketeers. After getting through the mandatory tutorial (didn't need), the game was of decent difficulty. HO scenes are pretty good, there is usually at most one item per scene you need the hint for, there's a bunch of other little puzzles and challenges you have to complete that were pretty straight forward. Graphics are decent, but compared to some of them it's lacking. They could have tried to make them look a little more realistic and not just plastic. Storyline made sense for most of it, but the end was a bit of a disappointment, was expecting something a bit more drastic and surprising. Not a bad game, but I would recommend getting it on sale.
I recommend this game!

Light and easy game if you only have a few minutes to spare. However there is nothing really to it. Just whack bushes and hope that either puzzle pieces or quest items come out. The only challenge are the puzzles but they are ridiculously easy. No story whatsoever so if you're looking for something with a purpose, avoid this game. But if you want something really quick and simple, then this one fits the bill.
I recommend this game!

Just when you thought they were on their way home, the portal sends Ellie and Ian somewhere else in Botanica. However, this time you're not just looking for Ellie's father but also trying to save the world from an impending doom. Big difference between the first Botanica and this one is you get to play as both Ellie & Ian which adds to the enjoyment. Still have the same excellent quality of visuals and the HO scenes are just as enjoyable and challenging as the original. If you liked Into the Unknown, you will enjoy this. However you do not need to play it to understand what's going on as when you open the game, it gives you a recap. Really hope they make another one on Ellie and Ian's lives after this adventure. Highly recommend.

Fun, enjoyable game. Love the Awakening Series and when I saw this also came from Boom Zap, I knew I had to give it a shot. Took some getting used to not being able to jump around on the map, but after getting over it, I found it worked to my advantage. Really enjoyed having the botanical science aspect to it and it was good having the extra mini games the botanist kit provided. Excellent game.
I recommend this game!

This game didn't really do it for me. The visuals didn't stand out & were very mediocre. Some of the items were really small and nearly impossible to see, started to strain my eyes to try to spot them. In order to continue the game, you had to complete quests which forced you to replay the same scenes over and over again. Just starting off the game took too long as there was a lot of unnecessary hand-holding. If you had just started playing HO games it would be okay but for those who have played many of them before, it would be a bore. I definitely found it a bore. This games wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either.
I don't recommend this game.

I've been a fan of the Awakening series for a little while now and I have been eager anticipating this one to come out. Buying it was a no brainer, even though only the collectors edition was available but given this is the last one, I figured why not. As soon as I finished the trial, I bought it and completed it right away. So sad to see the story end, but it was an awesome story with such a happy ending. Would really like if they were able to make more Awakening games but set in either the past and/or future. Anyone who has enjoyed the previous 5 will love this one.
I recommend this game!

Downloaded this game figuring it would similar to Sims games that I have played before. It is indeed very similar. Definitely starts off slow, but as the number of generations increase and the more children you have, it gets a little bit faster paced.
I recommend this game!
