These are much more difficult than I expected. You have to do all three colors at once with no spaces in between. Far too much of the time you have to guess. If you use a hint you have to wait until you have somehow got several more placements before you can get another one. Fun factor? It's not really fun when you look at a new board and there is not one square you can logically color in. You can make very few mistakes before having to start the level over.
After Rupert and Emma receive a mysterious message, from their old friend Hani that the Jewel Boards were in danger, the duo must work fast to save both the jewel boards as well as Hani. But can they do both?
I really dislike games that do not allow you to play in a relaxed mode. I play to have fun not stress myself trying to clear a board in less than two minutes. Enjoyed the other Jewel Quest games but this one is a no go for me.
I have to admit I am writing this on the one hour demo. After only that amount of time I quit this game. Gameplay is frustrating with many of the icons almost the same color. The gold squares can be very hard to find. I thought about going on since the story seemed at least mildly interesting but decided it was not worth it.
If you want to feel like you got your money's worth of game buy this one. It is a very long game. That said it is also a fun game. As you go along you will acquire multiple power ups to help. My main downside to this game is the total lack of instructions. There are none. You are not told you have to upgrade buildings, you are not told why you cannot upgrade some buildings even though you have way more resources than required. So a simple how to play guide would have made this a much better game. I am up to level 190 and still have not gotten to upgrade three buildings.
The story was good-quite enjoyable. Two downsides to this episode of clutter. There were levels were you could not use hints. I really disliked that. And there were only a few box quotes which I enjoy. I have already solved the ones in earlier versions. Overall a good game but I think the best of the Clutter series is still Clutter 3- who is the void?
I enjoyed this game a lot. I do agree with other reviewers that the level of challenge and the colors used could be improved on. It is hard to distinguish between the light blue and they grey on a black background. But overall I thought the mini games were fun- the storyline was good. Waiting for the sequel.
Although the game play is exactly the same as other games by this developer there have been some improvements. It is much easier to accumulate the money needed to buy jokers. Also there seems to be more cards in the pile. One of my main objections before was being given too few cards. The backgrounds are wintery. Altogether not a bad game but if you have others by this developer you may want to spend your money elsewhere on a truly new game.
Out of the many mosaics I have played this is my favorite. Every puzzle makes a beautiful picture. The pieces are never tiny. Most of the puzzles can be done without hints. All of the pictures are fall or Halloween. This game is definitely one I will play again.
There are several problems with this game. First of all you are often given far too few cards to even have a hope of getting to all the 'special' cards. Second in many levels if you don't get to all the special cards on nearly every section you cannot advance until you replay and manage to accumulate enough special cards. You are given coins to buy jokers but you need about 10 times as many jokers as you get coins to buy. There are far better games to spend your money on.
