I am at level 68 and still intrigued. I will agree with other reviewers who said that the tutorial leaves much to be learned by trial and error. For me, that was part of the challenge. I love that this is UNtimed, and I can take as long as I want to figure out my next move. I would describe this as a combination match-3 and strategy. The city building, and dressing your avatar is secondary, IMO, to meeting the goals of each level. I also like the variety of side games, which they call "quests", and that you can skip them. The artwork in the jigsaw puzzles, in particular is dreamy and imaginative, like scenes from Egyptian royalty. Since it is an older game, you won't find many tips or hints in any forums, however, experimenting usually reveals how to use the bonus pieces, or how to unlock a board. Play on- for hours of enjoyment!
I never get tired of the many variations developers come up with for the match-3 games. This one can be played in the relaxed mode, for hours of stress-less activity. At first I was put off by the Limited Moves option, but after a couple of run throughs, I find that it is a gently stimulating challenge for me. You have to be thrifty, and strategic with your counted moves, often planning them to create as many chain reactions as possible. The board rotation feature is a great way to get different perspectives, and to dislodge pieces. The shuffle refill is generous as well, and I like that the bonuses carry over from one level to the next. If the story is interesting, that is usually a bonus to me, as with the music, so those features were not a distraction. Overall, I go back to this match-3 for relaxing fun, and a little mental challenge.
After enjoying the first Rainbow Web game, I wanted to try this version for something familiar, and a little different. I was very pleased with the rustic and fairy tale feel of the different gathering places that need to be restored. I LOVE that there is no timer. That was my biggest gripe about #1, that the timer activated even after you had optioned out!. I like the variety of configurations of the webs; in fact I still have to stand on my head to figure out the possible moves on one of the curved ones. The picture puzzles are tricky.......and sometimes the hidden objects are very well hidden, indeed. All in all, just my kind of rhythmic, and relaxing game.
The village of Lumina is in trouble! Defeat your challengers with the help of powerful spells, and find treasures in more than 10 hidden object scenes.
If you are looking for a low pressure match 3 game with a fairy-tale setting, then Mystika 2 is one to check out. This reminds me very much of "Lost in Night", with similar artwork and storyline. It also is like the Fishdom Series, in which you earn resources to furnish or build, or restore in this case, the surroundings. I always look for games with the Un timed option, which this one has. Besides the match 3 game boards, there are also hidden object scenes, again with fanciful art. An FYI; you may not be familiar with some of the foreign sounding, or medieval names of items you need to locate. This game is low pressure, forgiving and generous, and has pleasant sound effects and music. Perfect for this Granny Gamer.
I loved the concept and picked up on the reviewers enthusiasm. However, for me, I wish there had been more of a tutorial. Even with Casual mode, I got overwhelmed when the game went to a 20 x 15 board on level 3. I'm practicing on the less complex World Mosaics series until I get the hang of this puzzle.
This is a great match 3 chain game. I have played it so much I had to replace the battery in my mouse! It is bright, colorful and has wonderful mythical creatures and settings, in the kingdoms of Earth, Air, Fire and Water. I love the symbolism of removing, and sometimes outrunning, obstacles to free the flow of energy. There is, however, a "busybody" fairy who continues to give you tips, even after you opt out of her help. There is a Hidden Object scene to open each Book, and a Spot the Differences puzzle for each chapter. 4 Elements has given this Granny many hours of fun!
I tried this game based on a reviewer's mention of it, as one of their favorite match-3 games, and it has turned out to be one of my continuing favorites, for the gentle scenery, and soothing Asian music. To me it is a cross between word search and scrabble, where you compose words out of random letters which must be adjacent. There is challenge and reward to use longer and more unusual words as the levels increase. There are several ways to advance besides composing words, so don't worry if your spelling skills are average; you can guess the missing letters in the haiku, you can shuffle letters, and you can utilize bonus options to add tries, or to wipe out rows of letters all at once. It is relaxing brain exercise for this granny gamer.
I like the spider web format of the playing board. It is a challenge to look all over the web for possible moves. I like the bright colors of the beads. The graphics are simplistic, and even after you have restored the area, it still felt stony and unwelcoming to me. There is an option to play untimed, which I like. However, on higher levels, if you hesitate too long, in making combinations, it will Time you Out anyway. Despite the above negatives, I go back to this time and again for the mental strategy, and hand and eye coordinating.

This is as much a guessing game as it is a search for hidden objects. And even when/if you guess the missing word in the sometimes obscure riddles, you still have to locate the object in the scene. As others have said, the mouse click seems extra sensitive, and it can be easy to get "misses" applied to your score, by inexact accuracy. Overall, I liked the different scenes, which are bright and somewhat exotic in time and place, and the fact that the items are often very well hidden! It's a real brain teaser.
I recommend this game!

I added this to my collection, without playing a preview, based on my enjoyment of other Pop Cap/Spin Top games in the same genre. Although the level of difficulty was low, I actually had trouble seeing many of the objects due to the tiny size. In fact, the overall scenes seemed grainy and out of focus to me, which detracted from the hunt. Also the words on the lists are smaller than on the previous games, which is not so good for this granny. As always, I play the relaxed mode, as much for the haunting and lovely music. If you have the patience to play through to the end, there are three final scenes where you poke around trying to use the clues you have found, and then the mystery is "solved". If I hadn't got this for free, I wouldn't pay to purchase. I liked the "Lottery Ticket" in this series much better.
