Horrible game buried in a vault somewhere since the 1990's there are two modes of play only! Don't get me wrong some of my favorite games are older games with no bells and whistles, and older looking graphics, I actually like those much better than newer games most of the time but this one just ran too slow, and no ability to skip through the long drawn out tedious dialogue was a big turn off for me. There is dialogue as you try to move into the gameplay and once you finally sign in and hit play both characters start having a conversation, they both talk so slowly, and this dialogue can't be skipped either. Nope, not for me! Not to mention the old looking graphics etc. I find it hard to believe that Big Fish would even put this game out yet awesome games by designers such as Artifex Mundi aren't offered here?? I have to go someplace else to get those games?? Shame, shame, BF!! Maybe the game gets much better as you move into some actual gameplay I never made it that far, but something tells me this is going to continue to have a lot of boring unskippable dialogue I just couldn't go on!
Thank You Elephant Games for this frightfully delicious Halloween game! I enjoyed it from beginning to end.<P> It was creepy, colorful, with a straightforward storyline that kept you captivated from beginning to end! Fun games, interactive hidden object scenes all done up for Halloween, what's not to like! The only flaw and since I purchased the CE edition at a great price it wasn't that big a deal to me was that the game was kind of on the shorter side. I know it felt even shorter since I was actually really enjoying it but I did take off one star for the shortness. Other than that, Bravo and Thank You Elephant games for always giving us a holiday game to look forward to!
I'm loving this game! It's so colorful and full of fantasy and whimsy! The game is relatively on the easy side which I enjoy. I don't think hardcover gamers looking for a real challenge will enjoy this game unless they too are just looking for a little mindless fun in a fantasy type realm. I like how it's sticking to the story, you know what you are supposed to do and why. I like how the gameplay is pretty straightforward and things are not so hidden or in some absolutely ridiculous place, you'd never think to look. You use the items you find pretty quickly too which is great since I hate wandering around with a full inventory! Hidden object scenes are very lovely to look at and interactive. The mini-games that I found in the demo were pretty easy, I managed to do them so they couldn't be too hard. lol I was really enjoying the game when the demo ended so I will definitely be buying this game on the next big CE sale!
Thank You, Domini for giving me a game that I finally enjoyed from beginning to end! This truly was a 5-star worthy game! Beautiful colors, fun games, and most of all a wonderful storyline that you understood what you were doing and why, from beginning to end! Bravo!!
I love Elefun games, I can only think of one game they did that I didn't enjoy, and it wasn't this one. This game was awesome!
Although this is yet another game with disappearing townsfolk! This game managed to capture my attention with a fascinating backstory and great characters. The storytelling in The Last Will is impressive and by using the hidden object scenes and puzzles to advance the story, it was able to absorb me right into the game and its fantasy world. The flow was perfect, the colors and graphics were fantastic, the games and hidden object scenes were fun, the music was appropriate for the scenes it was just marvelous! It did find it to be a little on the shorter side from previous games by Elefun or it could be I was finally having so much fun that the time just whizzed by. I highly recommend this game!
I do not know how this game received so many 5 stars? If Nevertales the Beauty within was a five-star game, and it was then there is no way this mediocre game could also be 5 stars! If everyone keeps giving high marks to mediocre games then that's what we will keep on getting. Short, boring, not very creative games. That sounds sad to me. I was really waiting for this game to get going and become this exciting 5 star game when oops game over! What the heck?? Super short, boring, many times confusing, game with the same old same old mini-games, read the story find the symbol, or just find symbols here there and everywhere that was so fresh and new 4 years ago is now repetitive, stale and boring. I honestly don't know what to say, I didn't give the game high scores when the CE game came out but I figured I give Mad Head the benefit of the doubt and I used a free game to get this game, well it was just as bad as I first thought when I demoed the Ce and it never got any better after playing the entire game. It just wasn't fun! It actually felt more like a chore than a fun hidden object game. This is the 2nd or 3rd game in a row that MH has produced lately that I truly disliked. Everyone has an off day but I'm beginning to think Mad Head along with a few other game designers, might be out of fresh, innovative, creative ideas!! It really does pain me to give such low marks to one of my favorite game makers but I can't in good conscience give it any higher rating. Sorry no, I do not recommend this game.
I'm sorry but I honestly don't understand all the 5 star ratings, this game is mediocre at best. Now that being said I only played the demo so the game might get a lot better after the demo but I'm not willing to shell out full price for a CE for what I've seen so far. I didn't find much bling to satisfy purchasing the CE either. I will give this game another try and probably purchase it using a credit or on sale since I normally really do love Mad Head games. The graphics in this game were excellent, the storyline is been there done that before so nothing to write home about. The music was pretty good, I found not one hidden object scene in the demo, there were a few mini games that were a bit unique but not my cup of tea so I skipped them hoping to move the story and game along. I would probably play them if I decide to purchase the game, I just wanted to move the story along and see what happens before demo ran out. All and all not overly impressed with this game, sorry to say. The last game in this series was much better and pulled me right into the story, this one did not! I could never, not recommend a Mad Head game so I say try it and see for yourself if you like it enough to purchase.
This game is one of those games that definitely gets better after the demo. It took me a while to warm up to the game but once I figure out what I was doing and got used to going back and forth in time, I started having a real ball! I loved the child like whimsical hidden object scenes, the relatively easy but fun mini games that even I could do! I love everything about this game.
I played the entire CE edition of this game including the bonus and I have to say I really, really enjoyed this game. I love ERS because they are almost always straightforward and logical and you aren't running all over the place trying find things that have been so well hidden it becomes frustrating. You don't walk around forever with a full inventory but unable to use what you have, in this game you find what you need and you use it relatively soon afterward. The story moves along and flows rather nicely. There's is some back and forth but not near as much as many of the other games, which is also a plus. I own all the games in this series and I've enjoyed them all. They do seem to stay true to the story as it's progressed and in this game, you find out something that makes the story even better if you purchase the CE and play the bonus game. I found this game to be great fun, I enjoyed the mini games and all the interactive hidden object scenes. The music fit the scenes nicely and voice overs were well done, the scenery is perfect for the storyline and the graphics are better, clearer, sharper than in past games. This is a relatively easy game for days you just want to relax and play a fun, uncomplicated, non-head scratching game! I highly recommend this game.
I'm really enjoying this game, so much so that I just purchased the CE edition which I very rarely ever do. It's fun, easy and whimsical! No stress, just pure easy, fun, enjoyment for a change. I love the harder mystery games with a lot of challenge but sometimes you just want something a little fun and easy to lighten up your day and this is it. Who doesn't think a mouse wearing glasses is adorable? or Seeing a ferret in a flying teacup won't make you laugh? I guess I'm just a big kid at heart because this and everything else about the game is making me happy tonight! Ok if I'm honest this game is easier than it's predecessors maybe a little too easy at times, not for me I've been playing too many head scratchers lately so I'm enjoying not having to think too hard. If you are looking for something challenging then this wouldn't be the game for you. Yes, the series has gone in a different direction but that started 3 or 4 games ago so I feel like we are playing sort of a different game about witches with the same Witches Legacy title given to it and that really doesn't bother me since I can't really remember from one game to the next the exact story from a year earlier. I just play what I find to be fun and I don't get caught up in the minutia of is it like this, does it follow the last game etc. This game isn't as colorful and whimsical as Witches' Legacy: Dark Days to Come, which is my favorite and a loading page pops up when you move from place to place which is why I gave the game a 4 and not a 5 I don't remember the loading page coming up so often in previous games by this developer(?) It's a bit annoying but not so much that I can't or won't play the game but I thought I'd let others know. Well, I'm off to go finish playing this adorable little game!
