This review is after playing the entire game and the bonus too.
I really enjoyed the Sci-Fi aspect of the game, we get way too few of them. I really enjoyed the immersiveness of the game, I really felt like I was there! Which is why I decided to buy the CE instead of waiting for the SE as I usually do.
That being said after completing the entire game I have to say I was a bit disappointed, A. The game was very short, B. some of the games did not respond correctly so I had to skip them and 1 game, in particular, I had to reset because I was playing against the alien and it kept giving him a lot of moves and me none, other than to remove his pieces. When the alien was out of moves it reset the board when I was out of moves I just had to suck it up and remove his pieces giving him the points which really made me mad. C. There was very little interaction between me, my brother and some nerdy guy and D. neither my brother or the nerdy guy who was following me through the game did a darn thing to actually help me. In the first game, Light Advent they did it right the people in the game did work with you, they would fix things or find things and then give them to you, this game they did not! This is one of my biggest pet peeves in these games, it's so easy to have them work along with you!! and lastly there weren't very many different areas to explore and you did very little in each area. The areas/graphics were clean, clear and uncluttered. Which is nice.
It's for these reasons I took off a few stars and didn't give it a 5-star rating, had I reviewed this game before finishing it I would have given it a 5.
Now the positives, I loved that we were given a Sci-Fi game and in that the developers did a really great job. The scenes, the graphics, mini-games all had a wonderful Sci-Fi look to them, everything was very cohesive. The voice overs were well done, the music fit the scenes most of the time, there were times when the music made you feel like you needed to hurry up which stressed me a bit. The hidden object puzzles were very nice I wish there were more though seemed like very few as compared to the many mini-games. The mini-games, for the most part, were challenging for me but it did give me a great feeling of satisfaction when I completed them.

I loved this game! Beautiful scenery, great unfolding storyline, easy mini-games, items used pretty quickly, not very much back and forth, lovely music and mostly very pretty hidden object scenes. Nothing to complain about except, I wish it was longer and that's just me being greedy because I was enjoying the game so much!
This is a really fun, easy game to relax and enjoy. If you are looking for something that will really strain your gray matter this would not be the game for you.

This appears to be a pretty good game, with nothing overly new in games or hidden objects but the storyline is new, different and historic, which I really like!
It's the graphics in this game that are the real talk of the town, the likes I don't think we've ever seen in a game before. Everything is so well done, so realistic to the time period of the 1060's or there abouts. The outfits they were wearing, the buildings made of rocks, the wood in the mills were so lifelike and just so very well done! Also one of the lead characters was so handsome with a wonderful British accent, I'd get on a horse and ride away with him any day! lol
The hidden objects scenes were true to the time period ie. you'll look for swords, mace, daggers, crossbows, axes etc.
The games also use items of that time period.
Very, very well done by Artifex Mundi!!

•Repetitive puzzle (sword fighting puzzles I hear are all the same, will definitely become annoying after a while! Didn't like it the first time!)

I absolutely loved this game!! It was so much better then many of the CE reviews gave it credit for, but I guess that's because most people just review the small sample and not the completed game!
This game gets better and better the more you play it. Granted the dolls look more like tiny humans then dolls and we aren't seeing anything all that new and different from other games when it comes to the hidden object scenes or mini-games but there were a few that were different and the hidden object games pertained to the story, not just random junk piles. I like that.
I can't really put my finger on it but there was just something about this game that was so much more fun than many of the other games I've played lately. I can honestly say this is my favorite from The Fear For Sale series and I am a fan of all the games! If I had to pick one reason this game was so much more fun it would be the story, it just keeps unfolding little, by little as you progress through the game, everything you do, everything you read takes you to the conclusion.

I went from being so excited to play again with 3 characters from 3 of my favorite game series to pretty much crestfallen within 15 minutes of playing the game!
There is really nothing new, inventive or overly exciting in this game. It's the same old same old we've seen in most of the Elephant games lately with the exception of playing with 3 different characters and that's been done before and better in the Dark Romance games.
First off I have to say I haven't been a fan of most of the Grim Tales games since old Aunt Gray became young again and she walks around with the head of her dead father (yuck!) So that was a bit of a turn off and the other guy completely covered so you can't see his face I found unsettling as well. These two things did not really effect the game just my own personal squabbles.
The game didn't have anything really new or innovative, it was the same thing find a key or amulet to open this, find some papers read them and so on and so forth.
The game also seems as if it's going to be somewhat on the shorter side so I don't think it's worth the CE price.
Having said all that I didn't hate the game, I was just disappointed it wasn't as new, creative, exciting and challenging as I'd hoped it would be. I found Elephants older games like the Surface series much more fun, and creative then most of their newer games have been lately and I was hoping this game would harken back to those days but alas that was not meant to be. I do however like the game enough to purchase it when the SE edition comes out.

I know this an older game but since I had just played two of BlamGames older games and enjoyed them I figured I purchase this one too. I'm so glad I did I loved the graphics and the scenes were gorgeous. Loved riding on the adorable dolphin!
This was longer than many of the newer games and it had a much better more cohesive storyline than many of the newer games.
It gave me approx. 4 or 5 hours of relaxed fun and that folks is all we can ask for. I highly recommend this game!

I realize this is an older game but it came up as the 2.99 deal of the day last week and I purchased it. I have to say it was well worth the 2.99, it would have been worth full price. I LOVE it!
If you love ancient Greek myths and history you will enjoy this game. The graphics were clear and nicely drawn, the music was perfect for each scene, the hidden object puzzles were fun and interactive and the mini games were fun and different from the same old same old junk we've been seeing in the newer games.
I find I enjoy the older games were more thought was given to the story and the mini games then I do the newer games with the perfect graphics but lame storylines and too easy hidden object puzzles as well as all that movement and in and out of the camera, which gives me a headache! It's also a much longer game than the newer games tend to be.
I highly recommend this game!

I too purchased this game because of the high reviews and due to the fact that I had just finished three other games by Blam games that I really enjoyed. Well, I was greatly disappointed in this game, I really didn't enjoy it and I couldn't wait for it to end!

I really enjoyed this game! My review is after completing the entire game and bonus game. Normally I don't purchase the CE edition but I was having so much fun playing the demo and there was a sale that day so I went ahead and purchased the CE. I'm so glad I did! The game does tie up nicely in the SE edition and with the 2.99 sale today this would be a great purchase!!
It's fun, easy and whimsical! No stress, just pure easy, fun, enjoyment for a change. I love the harder mystery games with a lot of challenge but sometimes you just want something a little fun and easy to lighten up your day and this is it. Who doesn't think a mouse wearing glasses is adorable? or Seeing a ferret in a flying teacup won't make you laugh? I guess I'm just a big kid at heart because this and everything else about the game just made me very happy!
Ok if I'm honest this game is easier than it's predecessors maybe a little too easy at times, not for me though I've been playing too many head-scratchers lately so I'm enjoying not having to think too hard. If you are looking for something challenging then this wouldn't be the game for you.
Yes, the series has gone in a different direction but that started 3 or 4 games ago so I feel like we are playing sort of a different game about witches with the same Witches Legacy title given to it and that really doesn't bother me since I can't really remember from one game to the next the exact story from a year earlier. I just play what I find to be fun and I don't get caught up in the minutia of is it like this, does it follow the last game etc.
This game isn't as colorful and whimsical as Witches' Legacy: Dark Days to Come, which is my favorite and a loading page pops up when you move from place to place which is why I gave the game a 4 and not a 5 I don't remember the loading page coming up so often in previous games by this developer(?) It's a bit annoying but not so much that I can't or won't play the game but I thought I'd let others know.
All and all I had a magnificent time playing this game and I highly recommend it!

I haven't loved a game this much in a very long time! It's my pick for game of the year!
This review is after playing the CE edition, the entire game plus the bonus chapter.
The storyline was great, the music was beautiful and or creepy which fit within each scene. The mini-games were fun and on some of the games you could pick easy or hard, the hidden object scenes were plentiful and a lot of fun.

Yes, like many games you find something to put somewhere else to open it which normally I find boring but not in this game. It just flowed so well, and it wasn't overdone. You didn't have to find a million keys or amulets to keep the game moving!

There are 2 bonus games, one was about an hour long the other was a much shorter bonus. The main game was approx. 4.5 hours.
