I normally love Elefun games, I own almost all of them but this is regrettably a big fat no for me. I can't quite put my finger on it but this game really irritated the heck out of me. I think it was all the talking, the moving in and out of the camera and the long lag time between moving from one area to another. The storyline too is just the same thing we've seen in hundreds of other games!
Try for yourself and see what you think for me it's going to be a pass. Sorry, Elefun maybe next time!

I'm sorry I purchased this game! I purchased this game approx. a week and a half ago and I'm still only a quarter of the way through it. I just can not get into to it, it's boring!
The graphics are beautiful, the music is nice but everything else is just blah. Things are hidden in such a way that they aren't even close to being obvious so you need the hints to get you moving again, very slow going and the storyline is a bit ridiculous.
I Should not have allowed the positive reviews of the CE game sway me, should have trusted my gut.
No, I do not recommend this game.

An OK game worth a free credit or to buy on a good sales day.
Not a bad game just not a great game. You never actually see London which is a big shame and a lost opportunity by the devs.
I like Domini games, but this one was really just same old same old nothing to really get excited about. Hopefully the next in the series will be better.

I really enjoyed playing this game. It had fun, and different mini-games, interactive Hidden Object games, great music and most of all the most unique and gorgeous graphics and scenes I've seen in any game here on big fish! I've played over 250 games and this is in the top five for gorgeous, real looking graphics. Some steam-punk type scenes as well. Bravo to Grandma games for such a great adventure!
There were a few times what I had to do or use in a scene made zero sense but overall things flowed well and made logical sense.
The game starts off a bit slow and the graphics don't really wow you until after the demo so if you just go by that you'll be missing out!

Don't be swayed by negative comments, this was an exceptionally good game! I enjoyed every minute of it. It wasn't overly long like many of the older games but it wasn't really short like many of the newer games have been, it's a pretty good length. I wish I purchased the CE so I could have had more time with this game!
Something about this game just drew me in and I didn't stop playing until the game was over. That hasn't happened to me very often lately.
The scenes were clear and colorful, the music was beautiful, the sound of their voices were just perfect, nobody irritated me except when they talked a little slower than I would like.
The storyline was nothing all that new but it was told well and the objective of what you were to do and why was always clear throughout the game. There were times when you had to find ingredients to make potions or healing bandages etc. I love doing that! The hidden object scenes were fun and very interactive, the puzzles or mini-games were also fun and relatively easy because I was willing and able to do almost all of them!
I think I really enjoyed this game so much because the flow was just so good in this game and you weren't running around looking for all kinds of stupid amulets to open every darn thing!!
This game is by LazyTurtle I do not think they've made too many hidden object games before and I have to say if they keep this up they are going to give our big name designers a real run for their money! Bravo Lazy Turtle!

I'm so glad to see Big Fish putting out games by Artifex Mundi again, I normally just love their games, and this game is no exception, as a matter of fact, it's better than the last few they recently released.
The graphics are crisp and clear, the colors are bright and vibrant, and the scenes are lovely! The scenes are not overly full so you don't feel overwhelmed by where to look, what to do, where to go. The music and voices are just perfect, love the sound of the woman and the man. Normally the voices grate on my nerves not in this game!
My favorite part is having someone in the game playing along with me, I love, love, love that!!
The game is on the relatively easy side especially as it pertains to the mini-games but I enjoy that because then I can actually do the mini-game without skipping, which is another big plus for this game.
I believe there were only 1 maybe 2 hidden object scenes in the demo which was the only negative since I do really like those.
All and all a really enjoyable game that I really want to keep on playing so I'm downloading it as I write this review.
I think this is well worth a full price purchase, it's definitely worth a free game coupon. Try the demo for yourself I believe you will really enjoy it!

My Review after playing the entire game plus bonus since I did purchase the CE edition of this game. I absolutely loved playing this game! I normally do not buy the CE versions but I was having so much fun during the demo I just had to have the game!
I enjoyed the game very much! I started playing the day I purchased and played nonstop until the game was over! I was having so much fun I just didn't want to stop playing, that has not happened for me in a long time!
The flow of the game was wonderful, the visuals, scenes, graphics were top notch, the games were somewhat different and fun which is saying a lot because I normally skip most of them. There were some hidden object puzzles done in a very different way and then there were the regular interactive ones we've seen before. The music was pretty nice and fitting for the scenes. I love the different sounds the game makes when you pick things up or get things for your inventory.
The storyline was consistent you knew what you were doing and why which is always a plus for me. There were a few moments that I got a good quick scare too!
Saint Germain the Dwarf was oddly missing from this game.?
I personally didn't miss him lol

I really, really enjoyed this game! I played it from start to finish without stopping except for dinner. It's not an overly long game, it took me maybe 4.5 hours to play but I do tend to skip mini-games so maybe a little longer for others.
I thought it was a fun, interesting and beautiful game with a storyline that stays throughout the game. It was on the easy relaxing side which was just perfect for the mood I was in this weekend.
I love that you make a lot of potions throughout and the mini-game you play to get each potion was fun too. I played most of the mini-games in this game and that's rare for me but I found the majority to be fun and doable!
I love Artifex Mundi and they did not disappoint here. Really wish we would get more games from this game designer, they are always top notch in my opinion.
If you are looking for a fun, beautiful looking game that's slightly on the easy and intuitive side this is the game for you!

I may be in the minority but I absolutely hate this game and I'm so sorry I let the name Mad Head and top reviewers sway me enough to waste one of my free game coupons on it.
|No it does not get better after the demo it stays boring and has you doing things that make little sense. I also found allthough the graphics were well done the scenery to me for the most parts was just ugly. Another pet peeve of mine is having people in the game with you but nobody does anything but me! If they are going to write these people into the game they should have them doing stuff to help you, I know it can be done because they did it in my favorite all-time game Beyond Light Advent. Also, there is a whole lot of dialogue in this game, It came to a point where all 4 or 5 people had something to say and without thinking I yelled at my computer screen to shut up, just shut the (blank) up!
There were a lot of mini games, I skipped almost every one of them, I also had to use the hint button way too much, I guess the game designers fancied themselves clever I found that what you needed to do made no sense!

I just found this game last week even though it's been out a while, I guess I missed it when it was first released. Anyway, I purchased it last week and sat and played it straight through until I was done. I really enjoyed it and I don't understand all the low reviews.
It's actually not a five star game but it's a solid four star game, I gave it five stars to boost it a little due to all the low reviews.
This game flowed well, it kept the story throughout and it was nice and creepy with clear graphics that ERS now AMAX are known for.
The puzzles and hidden object scenes were fun and interactive, the sounds were great, music was appropriate. It wasn't an overly short game so all and all I was not disappointed with my purchase and really don't know what else one can ask for in a creepy hidden object game!
