Right now, I am re-playing all four of the Samantha Swift Adventures, simply, because it has been a year or so, since, I have played them and I love this series!!!
I purchased all four of the Samantha Swift HOGs, back in fall of 2010. I simply fell in love with Samantha Swift and her adventures. I try to play the whole series, every 9 months to a year. This way, the game is "fresh", since, I tend to play so many HOGs, that the little details are forgotten. I do this, with a lot of my HOGs, especially, my favorite ones.
Yes, overall all four games are "easy" HOGs, but, sometimes the mini-puzzles can be confusing. In response, to those who have complained about not being able to complete a chapter or segment, so that you can complete the game ... Sometimes, you have to go "back" to go "forward" or go to another area, to find the "item" needed to open a door or passage way. I found that, Samantha Swift and her adventures, was one of the first, to do the "back and forth", to go forward. No, she was not the first, just one of the first.
Must admit, when I played the first game of this series, for the very first time, this going back and forth, really annoyed me ... But, as I continued playing more and more HOGs ... Samantha Swift's Adventures really were easy games and very enjoyable ones.
One of my favorite parts of this series, is that Samantha has Adam and Dr. Butler with her, in all 4 games. For me, that means continuity and I do like that, when there is a series involved. As each story progresses, the permanent characters, Samantha, Adam and Dr. Butler work together, to solve the mystery of Ancient issues.
I also, think this series would be good for kids 10+. There is a lot of reading, since there are no voice overs, so the child must be able to read well and there will be some questions, regarding words they don't know or don't know what the item is, that they are looking for ... However, don't let this stop kids from playing this series, in the long run, they may just become future HOG Fans. :)
You’re on a train in the middle of nowhere, and a band of dangerous thieves demand you tell them where to find the Hope Diamond’s shards. As the newest Hidden Expedition recruit, you’ve got to find the shards before they do…

I am having so much fun, playing this game. It is just awesome, that I am back to being challenged, especially, in the Causal or Easy Mode, like I was in Hidden Expedition: Amazon game.
I am also, happy that I got the Collector's Edition, for this game. I personally feel, when you get an excellent complex game, even in Causal or Easy Mode ... You do need the Strategy Guide, to help you move along in the game.
I really like the way Hidden Expedition developers are doing the Hidden Objects portion, of this game. The Mini-Puzzles are just as good and challenging. The Graphics are simply awesome!!!
Overall ... I am one Happy Camper, that Hidden Expedition games are back in business, really back in business! :)

I liked this game, but, I have only trialed it. However, I do have some issues ... Mainly, the color of the tiles. In all honesty, there could have been better color graphics, for this game, so that, you can tell the difference, between say the *gold* and the *yellow* or the *pink* and the *purple*.
When the screen went into Fade Mode, it was even harder to see the color differences. Now, for younger eyes, this may or may not be a problem ... For my 70 year old eyes, this was a real issue.
Overall though, I liked the concept of the game. Bombs exploding during a 3 Match Game, is not new, for today's games. I have seen this progression, even in the master of 3 Match Games ... Bejeweled.
I am so glad, that I got the Collector's Edition, for this wonderful game. I am quite experienced with most HOGs, but, this one really is different and I have needed the Strategy Guide, to locate some of the objects needed to advance, in this game.
I am not ashamed or afraid to say, that I have had to use the guide. Why? I got the Collector's Edition for that reason, just in case I got stuck.
The graphics are beautiful and to me, the story line is going fine. I am about halfway done, I have gotten 2 spheres and need 2 more. All I can say, is that I am thoroughly enjoying this game and am so glad, that I purchased it.
Do not hesitate to trial this game, so that you can see for yourself, if, it truly does meet all that the majority of reviewers have claimed. I think, you will be pleasantly surprised and pleased.
