Too frequent 'access violations' - but so far always able to retry or continue. As in previous games, it takes almost half the game to get maximum chest access. In this game, no more enhancements to cute scene for many levels, and no new scene appears. Even given all that, their series are among the best.
I cannot believe all the good reviews for this. I was able to get to level 65 with a minimum enjoyment. But, starting level 66 and on, the ENTIRE GAME PLAY moved in SUPER SLOW MOTION, taking so long to complete every play that I gave up! Too bad as I DID really enjoy Imperial Island 5 all the way through - MUCH BETTER GAME PLAY.
We ended up just stopping playing this altogether after the 5th scene. We really enjoy this series Hidden Object Scenes part. BUT, the game FREQUENTLY pops up block slide, jigsaw, word puzzle, etc. MINI-GAMES which we do NOT want to play but HAVE NO CHOICE EXCEPT to SIT AND WAIT for 2-3 MINUTES if we want to be able to go to the next scene.
The Developers should ALLOW an INSTANT 'SKIP' for those like us, which still gives those who like these type of mini games a chance to play them.
Really like their Solitaire Mini-Games. Those present a much nicer challenge than most Solitaire games as they allow you one card space to be able to move one card temporarily from board to get longer match string.
...or at least Laruaville 9 (and I'll try another one that was also rated well). My first reaction to these 3 similar series was all the screens were way too busy and distracting - and figuring out the access to walled off screens and keeping fire extended enough to clear the coins, was just too confusing. But I got the hang of it with this game and am starting to really like it. A couple levels were just illogical, but the rest have been nice, enjoying challenges. And even the Mah Jong and Solitaire games offer a user-friendly "third" place to store a tile, which is so much better than Solitaire games where you go through 15-20 cards before you can make a match, with no real bonuses to work with.
I've enjoyed the previous Mystika Match 3, and the developer's added some really nice extra touches to make this one my favorite of the group. Nice clean graphics, fun special effects, more explosive power-ups so you don't get stuck so easily trying to get that last 1 or 2 tiles cleared like a few levels in previous versions.
I liked the theme, nice clean graphics, a few cute surprises, fun switches, underground resource gathering. But, instead of creative challenges, this constantly required LOTS and LOTS of CONTINUING REPEATS just to obtain the resources needed. So sitting here clicking the exact same steps 50+ times to get 50 food items to clear the next path obstacle, then repeating multiple moves to get the gold for another obstacle clearance is just really boring. I just had to keep hitting 'faster resources, faster speed, more people' constantly in each level. Unfortunately, I have found this same problem to be true with the few other Time Management games in this category.
Match 3 games are my favorite, but there are so few good new ones that I really wanted to like the Cursed House series. They seem very similar to Spellarium and Lauraville, but these are much more tedious and labor intensive without a fun factor. The game screens are busy and unattractive and the need for constant repetition in having to repeat essentially the same movements for each new area on the board that needs clearing is just annoying. Game strategy is very confusing (especially if you haven't played the earlier versions), so I tried Casual mode. But that added so many powerups that mutate regularly that it made it more boring. But, there were so many great reviews that I will give it one more try. Maybe you just need to be more familiar with this type of game to enjoy it.
There are so many of this same type that I almost just skipped trying it. But they have added some cute powerups, nice graphics, and just the right challenge to complete each level so far, that I find myself looking forward to each next level.
THANK YOU, SURICATE! Your new game came just at the right time when there is so much stress about the current virus/health/lockdown situation. It's great to get so wrapped up in playing your games that I can temporarily forget about all the problems.
Your Twilight Match 3 and Solitaire series are MY TOP FAVORITE! Not only is the match 3 play challenging and fun, but the animated tiles are also cute. And, your scenes/screen savers are the ONLY ones I have ever actually used as screen savers. I look forward to each new scene with much anticipation. I especially love your Twilight Solitaire scenes.
I am so glad you and your team are still working on new games. It would be a great loss to not be able to enjoy additional ones like these. SO THANK YOU AGAIN!
