The demo was fun, I right away bought the game. Much better than the last. This one got it right with their nature-themed hidden objects, the animals and other items were appropriate to the backgrounds. The background sounds of crickets. bird songs and ribbiting frogs are lovely. A really nice touch.
The graphics are colorful and sharp. but a bit fuzzy in the Zoom Zone. The features work well and on my PC there were no tech issues. The scenes each have 15 items to find, some are tiny and there is no magnifier to help. I always have my magnifying glass at hand, so no problem. There are 3 kitties in each scene, they mew if you click on them. A cute extra!
You earn stars, 3 is the goal, and your earned coins are for purchasing 15 gifts (puzzle pieces). They will be used to unlock a a bigger picture. There is a fun mini-game after each HO scene, a pretty good variety. I found the HOs to be well hidden, but not overly challenging. There is a choice of Casual or Challenge for the game, but I didn't find much difference between them. There's a Skip Feature for the puzzles which I never had to use. The lack of misclick penalties and timer helps to keep the anxiety level down for those who enjoy an easy-going experience.
Our Beautiful Earth 2 is a great hidden object game, IMO. Bonus Punch Monday is a great way to shop. Try the demo, fun for everyone regardless of age or skill level.
I enjoyed what was playable without the glitches that spoiled the last game, too. I'm familiar with this developer, owning some of their very entertaining HOPAs. They did much better with that genre, their HOGs are weak. I especially loved Frogs in Love and Otherworld. Check out their past creations!
I was happy to see a Skip Button in this new release. The objects are better hidden this time and there is now a Zoom Zone for the hidden object scenes. The game is colorful but the visual quality is lacking and I am surprised that we have a Christmas themed game so close to Valentines Day. I was unable to play all the mini-games in the demo because of not acknowledging clicks to pick up pieces. It was so frustrating, I finally gave up.
HOGs are so much fun when they work properly and the objects are well hidden. The mini games are a great addition to this kind of game. But the fun is greatly diminished for me when I have to spend so much time dealing with the boo-boos!
If Boomzap would fix the things that so many of us are complaining about, Faircroft's Antiques would be a great game. But as it is now, I won't purchase. A game should be fun and relaxing, not a hair-pulling event.
If you can put up with the glitches, the different styles of HO scenes and variety of games are fun. If you love Christmas themes, you'll be delighted. Suitable for all skill levels, family members. kids. However, with the issues throughout the game I'm really on the fence about recommending.
I'm always excited to find new paint-by-number games. The demo was just ok. I was sad to see the same annoyances as in all the others. Why are devs so reluctant to fix issues we always complain about? The changes would make a big difference in overall enjoyment and surely in review ratings.
The pictures shown with the synopsis were very nice, but the video samples were very unattractive. I hoped they would show a better selection but I wasn't impressed.
The variety of textures used in Modern Art make a huge improvement in the finished image. That and a wide range of colors will be fun to work with, however the first level was a dead zone, IMO, when it comes to beauty. The images were blah! Of course, again we must complete the first level before going to the next. It is absurd that we can't see what's ahead. I want to know what all the game offers before deciding to purchase. Also the finished piece is so small. I would love to see my creation full sized after the time and effort spent on it. And, as Pennmom suggested, it would be lovely to revisit the full sized image and have the option to save it as a Wallpaper.
Modern Art ran smoothly with quick response, the features are helpful, the cursor is good, you can change the background color with a full-color scale. There are 64 images, hopefully after the first level they are more appealing. I love the color/paint-by-number games. For me they are relaxing, and challenging if the images are very detailed with lots of shading.
The demo may leave you with a more favorable opinion than mine. It's a good game really, but I'm tired of the dreaded first level and the too-small pics. To buy or not to buy? That is the question.
If not for Domini I would not have taken interest in this game. I am not a fan of dragons and there are a bunch of them here. Their games are consistently beautiful and entertaining, so I put my feelings aside and tried the demo. Much to my surprise, I really liked it and bought it.
I'm midway into the third chapter and it has been top-notch all the way. The graphics are outstanding, displaying beautiful colors without so much of the neons this time. Travelling to other worlds is keeping the game interesting and hasn't allowed the pace to dwindle. There are plenty of activities and tasks and the bit of humor sprinkled throughout the story lightens the atmosphere, making it even more fun.
The scenes are gorgeous, each filled with fine detail and things to please players like me who like to take their time, checking it all out. The characters are not drab in personality or garb and the dragons are not silly cartoonish looking creatures. The voice-overs, background sounds and music are very good, adding another quality touch to the game.
I am more than pleased with the beautiful HOPs. Some of the scenes are amazingly beautiful and there seems to be a good range of variety. I've not yet met a repeat style, but I'm only in the third chapter. The puzzles have been fun, so far, and none have been discouraging when it comes to challenge. The styles are familiar to me, play in Easy or Hard Mode and there are not a crazy amount of them.
The morphs are butterflies changing into dragons, there are 70 crystals to collect, lots of achievements, and the usual variety of play modes which allows all skill levels to enjoy the game. I think this a nice CE and everything has been working with no tech problems. I'm hoping the Bonus Chapter continues the story. I've found the dragon invasion and travel to other worlds to be much more fun than anticipated!
A word game to keep you busy and wake up the brain cells. Word games are so rare and BFG has brought us a very good one today. It has been years since the last one! There are many categories with lots of words to uncover. The variety of tools, achievements and play modes create lots of fun.
A good assortment of extras and fun challenge makes this game just right. It is a welcomed change from all the mundane games we receive day after day. I bought it right after the demo, something new for a change. I'm looking forward to many hours of quality entertainment. Great family game, great learning tool for all ages!
Beauty abounds in this fantasy tale with the die-hard queen refusing to age gracefully. It is a gratifying story and for those members new to Big Fish, I'm sure they will fall in love with this game. The demo was a fine example of what can be expected in the main game and then some.
The graphics are beautiful and richly colored, the scenes are full of all sorts of attention-grabbing objects. The background scenery displays top-notch artistic talent which makes the game even more appealing. In comparing the two versions, I can see not much difference in that respect, except the graphics are improved somewhat. Each person will have a different opinion on that. The characters are depicted beautifully in appearance, costume and voice-overs. I thought the music was nice and background effects were appropriate. The little squirrel helper is still at hand, but in 2013 he wasn't around much. I don't know if he will be available more often or not this time. Playing only the demo, I've no idea of what the new features may be but newbies are always a positive thing.
There are again many morphing objects and coins to collect, lots of achievements and a treehouse to be purchased with the coins, for a pet squirrel. This all makes quite a satisfying CE for the collectibles fans. Although there wasn't much challenge in spotting them, they are still fun. In the demo, the HOPs were all lots of fun with a good variety which were probably updated to include new styles. And having 31 of them is just a wonderful ton of fun for me. The puzzles were not mind-boggling. They were fun with a familiar feel to some of them. Although I am not a puzzle lover, I enjoyed them without the need to skip any.
Since my 2013 Frozen Queen is still working, I really don't see a need to buy today's game. I'm not a fan of remakes when it comes to games since it means just a re-purchase without significant changes of enhancement. It's not like a movie remake where the changes are very evident, good or bad.
Frozen Beauty was a beautiful game and the bad-apple theme still works today to keep the storyline just as fun and interesting as it was in 2013. I would buy the updated game if I didn't have the older one. However, it is my opinion that we need more NEW games today, not rehashes. Bring us themes not related to fairytales and fantasies that have just been done to death. Let's see more sci-fi, mysteries, crime investigation, paranormal, spy thrillers.
Today's game contains lots of beauty and fun activities, easy tasks and a good story. If Frozen Beauty is new to you are in for a treat. This classic can be enjoyed by young and old, any skill level. Try the demo for a little taste of top entertainment.
Domini has brought us a new series with a really good storyline. A stage actress has been murdered while performing and there is a lot of mystery and strange factors surrounding this unusual case. We play both detectives, putting our special abilities together to solve this intriguing case.
I completed the demo and purchased the game straight away. We get so few murder mysteries and new series, I just had to go for it. The game is very entertaining and involves a crime with a victim that is surprisingly beautiful for her age! I'm anxious to see what the detectives uncover with their paranormal expertise. 2+ hours of play and the game is moving along at a good pace as suspects and evidence come to light. The story quickly drew me in and I don't think I will be disappointed when it is all over and the case solved.
Domini has once more created excellent graphics, beautifully colored to enhance the scenes and characters. The characters are interesting and depicted very nicely, the voice-overs and music are all good. Background in each location is full of everything I love to inspect leisurely, in this type of game. There are plenty of activities to keep the game busy, I haven't felt that twinge of boredom creeping up on me. For me, the tasks have been okay with some being downright silly. But some things will never make sense. I have to stop grumping and get on with the fun. And that I did!
I'm playing the game in a challenge mode and haven't found it to be too bad. Sometimes I switch to other modes to test the difficulty, but there doesn't really seem to be that much difference between them except for the Custom Mode. I always play the demo in Custom to make better use of the time allotted. The game can be enjoyed by all skill levels and I think the game will appeal to most age groups.
The HOPs are very interactive and as usual there is an excellent variety. I always find a couple of especially fun ones, but they are all great. All 18 of the HOPs can be replayed which makes a lot of us happy. Someday I hope too see more HOPs than puzzles but I'm always thrilled with the quality which makes up for lack of quantity. The puzzles are super, most can be played in either Hard or Easy Mode. I haven't encountered any stumbling blocks yet, a good thing. Usually by now I've skipped a few that take too much time or just don't interest me. I'm enjoying all the mini games which is rare.
The CE extras are much the same as the last release with lots of achievements, 70 coins to collect, a scant number of morphs, this time we are also looking for inkblots. Not a huge amount of collectibles but that doesn't bother me too much. Some devs overload their CEs sometimes, it bogs me down trying to find everything, and takes too much attention away from the game itself. So I'm okay with what we have here. I hope the Bonus Chapter continues with the twins and a new mystery is waiting to be solved. Sometimes the BC fails to deliver, usually when it is not connected to the main game or characters. Let's hope this one is a goodie!
Well, Domini has been my favorite dev for a long time now. The graphics, colors, stories, HOPs and games are always top-notch, in my opinion. I can't recall ever having a tech issue. Hopefully, they will continue to bring us new series with great storylines. I love paranormal, sci-fi and murder mystery games with a surprise twist that amazes me at the end. Maybe in the not-so-far future?!
Having fun with Twin Mind: Murderous Jealousy. The demo was good, I felt it was a good example of what to expect in the full game. Give it a try before you buy. Just because I love the game doesn't mean you will, too.
for a few changes to save this series from the rut it is in. For starters the HO games need more challenge and even though I still enjoy Helper, I think we need to move on to other characters and better stories. Rainbow Mosaics is becoming boring just like the penguins because nothing ever changes, diminishing the entertainment value.
I see no reason to keep buying the same thing over and over again. It has pretty much been the amount of puzzles and very cute images that has kept me hanging in there. But the images in the previous 3 releases, and today's, are missing that special quality that made this game so much fun for me. They lack those little details as in the earlier games. The demo was tedious as I finally reached the last of the pics that used to be so delightful to create.
The colors are still fabulous and the choices of tile styles are still great, the game always runs smoothly with quick response. I like the power-ups, especially the doggie but would be fun to have a couple of new ones. Earning enough coins for decorating is easy since the HO games can be replayed as you go, to obtain more whenever you like. I think a different way to decorate would be a nice improvement.
I do replay my older Rainbow Mosaics games after letting them sit for a while, so it's like new ones all over again. The entertainment in those will always remain. But now I see other devs creating mosaics with new helpful features, good stories, better images and mini-games.
Rainbow Mosaics IS a beautiful nonogram series with its logic-based puzzles and I love them until the more recent ones. There are many hours of puzzle solving to fill your idle time and for me it is always relaxing, even though the challenge can be quite frustrating sometimes. I'm not an expert player and restarting a puzzle many times is a pain in the neck, since I don't like taking the easy way out. Give it a try if you are on the fence about this genre. It is not as difficult as you may think and if you enjoy it, don't be surprised if you become addicted.
It is such a simple request, so I don't understand the dev's reluctance to acknowledge it. I have the same complaint of all the other color/paint games as well:
We are forced to complete the entire first level before we can continue the game. The demo is just a small sampling of images and I want to see ALL the images before I decide to purchase or not. It is so irritating and just plain wrong! Why should I hand over my $$, if the dev is unwilling to hand over the entire game so I can see what I am buying??
I love these art games and own most of them, in spite of this issue. I've been tediously painting my way through the first level long enough. The images are always too simple, unappealing due to color choice and they are unattractive subject matter. It makes no sense, IMO, to not change this "feature" that is so disliked by so many. I really like coloring and doing it on my PC, because of no supplies to mess with and it is very relaxing. However, this issue comprises the fun a great deal for me.
I do appreciate the cursor tip being smaller and more precise now, to accommodate those teeny little spaces. The Hint feature is great for finding those elusive spaces that always frustrate us. The Zoom Feature is my favorite. The background colors are nice but would work more to our advantage if there was more variation. There is a wide range of vibrant colors although the first level is usually not a good indication. It would be nice to have more images and add more art styles. I've never experienced any tech problems with Paint By Numbers and the images are always sharp and bright. There are many spaces that are nearly invisible but I find the extra challenge fun and satisfying, and the Hint Button comes to the rescue if hopelessly stuck.
If you don't mind plunking through the first level of images, not by choice, then you will probably enjoy this game. I don't think it is a bad game at all if you love coloring. It's a great way to relax and get away from the more "serious" games for a while.
However, I will pass until someone thinks it worthwhile to make a small change that would make a big difference.
I'm always taken in by this kind of story. Magical forests offer interesting creatures, spirited trees, and sometimes monsters.
The clarity and beautiful colors of the graphics make the game even more appealing to me. I've been enjoying the beauty along the way while investigating the attack on King Lydius' kingdom. And I do take my time in stories like this to check out every magical thing. I wonder what kind of disgruntled being is disrupting the peace and safety of the King's realm? I'm not telling!
The characters are depicted very nicely, the voice-overs were good and the music seemed appropriate. I was happy to find a reasonable amount of puzzles, they didn't greatly out-number the HOPs. If there are too many, I just start skipping because I tire of them easily.
There's a nice variety of HOPs, each scene creative and fun. I especially enjoy the interactive ones. The puzzles are not too difficult, but an easy or hard mode is offered. However, I'm not sure if that applies to all the mini-games. During the demo there was no stalling between locations and moving to each scene was quick. I experienced no tech issues on my PC.
There aren't a great deal of collectibles, but searching is still fun. And there are, again, the 70 coins to find. There are indicator bars to keep us aware of the collectibles in each scene. I really appreciate this feature! The game is busy with lots of activities, the tasks are easy enough but we have the crazy one's, too, that just irritate the heck out of me sometimes. I guess we'll never see the end of those, will we?!!
I think this game can be enjoyed by all ages and the variety of settings welcomes all skill levels. I mostly use Custom Mode for the demo, but you can switch around while playing. I bought Spirit Legends: Finding Balance, expecting a beautiful entertaining game, after enjoying the demo to the end. I have been playing for a few hours, not disappointed so far.
