There is no such thing as a perfect game. Pixel Art has enough features to satisfy the enjoyment I seek in these paint by number games. I love watching the images emerge as I apply the colors and feel a good sense of accomplishment on the more elaborate ones. Some of the simpler ones are okay, but some are just too simple and I skip them.
I personally see no need for tons of options, although a couple of changes would be nice. It would be great to have more pictures, at least 100 or 120 which doesn't seem unreasonable. I would like to view the finished piece of art as a clear picture, presently the pixels are very blurry. Also, more variety of subject matter which would include animals in nature settings, sea life, various art styles such as Art Deco, Art Nouveau, maybe some vintage movie posters. More creative, imaginative pieces to make pixel painting even more enjoyable and rewarding. The color palettes have never been an issue with me, I love the more extensive range of colors but think even more shades and tones would remove the flat appearance of the images.
I am eager to get started with Pixel Art 9 and hope more are available soon. With the paint by number games and colorful, challenging mosaic games, I am definitely a happy camper!!
I recommend this game!

but unfortunately I won't be buying this one. I played and enjoyed the entire demo but another review claims there are 41 mini-games and that is just far too many. When considering the amount of time spent on games, it doesn't leave much room for the actual story/adventure. Also, there's not much in the way of extras to justify my paying extra $$ for the CE.
The theme involving mind control makes a very interesting story and a more adult style of entertainment. I thought the graphics were excellent, very sharp and color-appropriate. The tasks were not a burden to accomplish. The game moved along at a good clip and ran without any glitches or stalls on my PC. I especially liked not finding demons and devilish characters along the way; just the typical villains expected to be associated with control and profit in a sci-fi based story.
I am not doubting the quality of this game, this developer doesn't bring us junk. If not for the crazy amount of mini-games I would definitely buy this scifi thriller, but not the CE since it offers so few extras. If you are an avid puzzle lover, this game should be perfect for you. Even though it is not for me, it would not be right to deduct stars from my rating. It seems worthy of 5 stars regardless of my opinion regarding the games.
I recommend this game!

to add to the pile of games that devs are pawning off as new. If not for the amount of levels and rebuilding the city, there would be very little to warrant buying this one. If this is a new Match 3 to you, it will be fun. The graphics are bright and colorful, music is so-so, but I think the tiles are unattractive. You won't need anymore from this dev. All are just replica games and boredom eventually creeps in.
Why even bother changing the name? Takes much more than that to make it a new game. I just will not give my $$ to devs who care so little about quality and think it is okay to keep up these poor business ethics. We are not dumbies, so please stop treating us as such!

With no challenge it becomes boring quickly. Even with the few changes that I see, it still isn't enough to upgrade the quality of this Match 3. There is no reason to purchase if everything is basically the same as this dev's other games. I do like the larger tiles, the colors are okay, but the features are stuck in a rut. I don't know why some dev's are so reluctant to make changes that will improve the quality and fun, and sell more games. Everyone would be happier! But alas, it seems things will just remain the same old, same old.
I did play most of the demo. I think it is a great game for beginners and it has a relaxing feel to it. But it definitely needs some major tweaking to make it challenging and exciting. The storyline was okay and music wasn't bad. Just not the kind of entertainment I look for in Match 3 games. Remember all the great ones we had from years ago? There are so many excellent Match 3s out there. I wonder why Big Fish doesn't make them available to us?? We are in short supply of this fun genre. Although I enjoy them on other sites, I absolutely will not buy them unless offered by Big Fish. So, how about it, BF? Think you could help us out here?!

Just what was needed to whisk away the duldrums that have crept into our solitaire games lately. A fun adventure within 200 levels of high/low, lots of features that make the game more appealing, nice card graphics. I like the obstacle and morphing cards, a little extra bit of fun and being able to view the set goals for each level is a plus for me. In addition, the ability to replay the levels until you finally achieve those 3 stars is definitely a good thing.
I think this adventure theme is really a great idea for solitaire, which can become quite boring at times even for avid lovers of the game. Saving children from scary dreams and keeping yourself safe at the same time while travelling through 5 worlds has made this a unique game. The choices you make in what you wear in each world can bring about either a positive or negative effect. The items are purchased with coins earned as you play.
I have 30 levels behind me now and it has been good fun with the extras and the creative adventure to brighten things up. 200 levels makes it even better. Didn't think twice about buying after the demo, I was so ready for a new quality solitaire. This one is brilliant, in my opinion. If you want something a little different and interesting for your solitaire collection, give the demo a shot.
I recommend this game!

Hidden Expedition was one of my favorite series until the devs began slowly eliminating the things that originally captured my interest. I love the old Expeditions because there was more fact than fantasy involved in the stories. Each adventure was exciting and different. Without all the H.E.L.P. "goodies", to me it isn't a true Hidden Expedition anymore.
Don't get me wrong, today's release is an excellent, busy game. I am currently in chapter 4 and up to this point there are no disappointments. I love the theme of the Aztec culture but less fantasy would make it more interesting, IMO.
Trekking into the heart of the Mexican jungles, the expedition is in search of a powerful Aztec artifact. As the journey progresses, trouble is right around the corner with a power-crazed member of the group complicating matters. I think it is an excellent storyline that provides a great adventure for many hours of fun.
The graphics are beautiful. The lush rain forest is stunning with color and detail. Domini does a great job here and thankfully didn't blow it with crazy neons, which would have spoiled the beauty tremendously, at least for me. I love just taking my time in this kind of adventure, soaking up the visuals and detail.
There's lots of action in this game and many tasks to undertake but it all moves along at a good pace. I've not found the tasks to be frustrating, no trouble finding what I need to get the job done. The HOP scenes are gorgeous within the lush rainforest and all have so far been lots of fun, good challenge and variety. An alternate Match 3 game is available. There are plenty of games from what I read in another review. Too many, in my opinion. But I do try not to skip any, just for the sake of personal achievement. I'm anxious to see what's in store, in the BC. Usually Hidden Expedition follows through with a satisfying additional dose of fun. There is a good map and I really like the music which I usually do not enjoy in most games.
There are only a couple of collectibles, which made me feel cheated in a way, as I always look forward to the extra challenge. If not for the fantastic coupon I acquired in the BF search game, I would have passed on the CE. Nothing important would be missing in the SE. I usually am always happy with Domini quality, they know how to do it right.
I think this new Hidden Expedition offers good entertainment for all ages, no matter your skill level because the game modes offer the various play options. And I especially appreciate being able to adjust the wait-time for hint and skip. I always try the demo, even if I feel a game just has to be great because of a series' good reputation. Try before buy, always good idea! Hope it is a fun adventure for you!
I recommend this game!

Oh my gosh, it seems like forever since the last Lost Amulets game! It was so beautiful and I enjoyed it immensely for a very long time. It eventually was uninstalled as I got more interested in the HOPAs. Today's release was purchased without a moment's hesitation.
The visuals are just stunning and the colors add beauty and contrast that make the game even more appealing. Other than Lost Amulets, I am definitely not a mahjong fan. It is such a boring game unless you have something special in it that keep the interest sparks flying. This game generates appeal with extraordinary graphics, unique gameplay, lovely music and fun mini games.
There is a pearl to collect in each level that allows you to purchase power-ups, the various power-ups cost different amounts of pearls, a Good Fortune Cat pops up randomly that can be used to match with any tile. There is a nice selection of tile images. The games can be skipped, but I enjoy them all, my favorite being Bingo. I like everything about this game, there is so much to keep me satisfied for hours on end. Fantastic replay value as well! I'm glad other reviews have covered the things I have left out, it is all worth mentioning!
If you've not tried Lost Amulets before, I think you will not be disappointed. Use the demo, give it a spin. A mahjong lover's delight for sure, I am not one and even I love it. Good fun for all.
I recommend this game!

We are not stupid, we know this is not a new game. I too am familiar with the previous Beach Season solitaires and today's release is exactly the same! I imagine it won't matter to anyone who has not purchased one before, but it does matter to me when I see a developer who wants the $$ but doesn't give anything in return. How difficult can it be to deliver a solitaire game that contains what we always ask for, that every good solitaire game should contain anyway?? The features we want are not an unreasonable request by any means. You just seem not to care. There are many quality solitaire games at Big Fish, thankfully. So your absence from my collection won't matter.
If you enjoy high/low solitaire with minimal features and the inability to clear the entire board, a sparse little shop and no fun power up cards then you might be okay with this game. At least try the demo.

This is just a plain and simple little HOG. It is okay for some easy fun without much thought. A couple of reviews claimed it is copy of Park Ranger, but I found absolutely no resemblance at all to the Park Ranger games. Summer Adventure series is pretty bland in most features that make up a great hidden object game. There is not much challenge, little creativity in puzzles, the colors are dull and the items are lacking in detail. Yet, there is some fun to be had if you just want to waste some time in between your more rewarding games.
As for myself, I had little fun with the demo. Like with the previous 3, I have yet to find a reason to purchase any of the Summer Adventure games. But I think it may be coupon worthy for beginners in this genre or for someone not looking for a bundle of hidden object delight. Give it look-see, unlike me, you may find it to be lots of fun.
I recommend this game!

Just add evil children and creepy dolls and I'm scared before the action ever gets going! lol. This is a terrific game for providing that edgy feeling of anticipation while being caught up in the adventures of three very scary stories. Mad Head was very creative with their ideas for this game dealing with nightmare worlds.
Subject 360 was spectacular, IMO the rest of the Maze series kind of fell into that "just another game" abyss. Today's "Sinister Play" is proving to be of the same caliber as that first great release and I was eager to purchase it. The demo was really fun and the game gets better and better as it progresses. I'm loving every minute of it, about midway now, hope it is a long game for me. I usually take my time to savor every little detail of the scenes.
The graphics and colors are superb and really reflect the scary story theme. Sounds and voices are good, the music doesn't usually effect me unless it is not appropriate to the story or it's just plain old bad. I absolutely love all the HOGs so far, great variety and very interactive. The puzzles vary in challenge and haven't had to skip any yet.
Lots of collectibles and morphs, every scene including HO scenes providing that extra fun challenge. I super appreciate the collectibles indicator...a wonderful feature I wish every developer would include in their games. I'm expecting the BC to add another leg of adventure to this fun game. Everything I have encountered in "Sinister Play" is quality entertainment and the game has been running glitch free on my PC. Hopefully Mad Head will continue to bring their creative talents to Big Fish in fun-filled games with the extra content that justifies the cost of a CE.
I recommend this game!
