this excellent game was released in 2012. It was a big deal for me because I played only Match 3 games up til then. Ice Rose got me hooked on HOPAs! A friend and I played together on our PCs, oohing and aahing at all the beautiful scenes. All the HOPs and puzzles were great fun and I loved the story.
It was replayed a few times but it began running poorly a couple of yrs after Windows 10 reared its ugly head. So today, what an extreme surprise to see the Remastered Version. I am excited about all the additional extras, the blessing of NO GADGETS and improvements that will make the game even more fun. There are voice-overs now, minimal text, just-right challenge and we again have the very fine journal that keeps just about everything you need right at your fingertips! A good interactive map is now included, too. And for me, at least, just the right amount of HOPs and games. Lots of changes and additions to "Ice Rose" has made it a guilt-free purchase.
The graphics, colors, scenery and characters are wonderful. I have completed 5 chapters which have been delightful and there have been no tech issues interrupting the fun. Ice Rose is a perfect example of how great our older games were, compared to the cookie-cutter games with shallow storylines, bland characters and scant CE content of today.
Remasters can be a great thing sometimes. But on the other hand, I hope it doesn't become a replacement for games that would be completely new to us that are fresh off the drawing table. Hopefully developers of all game genres will hear us begging for new, quality games. Not a bunch of remasters, never-ending sequels and series that never include changes in their new releases.
I loved playing the original "Ice Rose" and I'm loving it all over again. If you forgot the old version or you are new to Big Fish Games, give it a whirl. In my opinion it is an entertaining, beautiful game and worth trying the demo at least for 90 min of the good old days. It is playable for all skill levels with its addition of the custom mode. It contains nothing objectionable regarding subject matter and visuals.
I'm glad its back and I am now gleefully making my way to the Bonus Chapter, though it will be a long journey. I play veeery slooowly!!
I recommend this game!

It was love at first sight when Vacation Adventures: Park Ranger was introduced years ago! I never tire of my armchair vacations to the parks that are full of life, beauty and fun. Everything is just delightful, not just the fun of the HO scenes and the variety of puzzles/games...Park Ranger games are visually busy and interesting, the graphics are always excellent and colorful, and there are a variety of critters present in the scenes.
It is quite educational for kids and adults. It is family-friendly, nothing scary or evil to distract from the fun. I was happy to find the SE version today, have been reluctant to buy the CE versions of Park Ranger only because I feel that that the game is so full of enjoyment without having to spend the extra $$. I do own all the games in this series and replay them often. They are quality all the way and I can't recommend highly enough....definitely worth 5 stars and then some!
I recommend this game!

why Wonders of the World is a CE. Not special enough to warrant spending the extra money. I never understand why CE is ever necessary for a game of this type. Sure, the variety of games and puzzles are fun, the locations are interesting with the fact cards, but other than that it is pretty much just like any other mediocre hidden object game. I like Adventure Trips for the uncomplicated playtime, a good game to go along with my evening coffee while I unwind from the day. The demo was fun, but I did become bored after a while. It needs to be jazzed up and have greater challenge to satisfy my entertainment needs.
I had no problem with any part of the game in regards to running smoothly. But I will say the graphics could be much better and this game felt like I was just replaying one of their past releases. On the fence regarding purchase, but would definitely wait for the SE. I, too, like others have mentioned, am not happy with the games being offered these days. There is a huge lack of quality HO games and the disappointment keeps growing. I am seriously considering cancelling my membership, it feels like I'm just throwing the club $$ down the drain.
I still recommend Wonders of the World to those who are not familiar with Adventure Trips or who are already a fan. I will probably buy with a coupon or deep discount at a later date.
I recommend this game!

Pixel Art always appeals to me because I Iove to color and it satisfies that artsy sense in me without much thought applied to the process. Sometimes I just need relaxing entertainment and this is it, along with the subtle sounds of nature in the background. I own all the Pixel Art releases and go to them quite often to wind down. They are a good distraction from the stress of lockdown.
I agree with Pennmom's favorable comments, but I have only a couple of complaints. They are the same in each Pixel Art even though they don't prevent me from having fun and never cause me to remove a star from my rating. I wish the finished pictures were much larger and more clearly defined, far too blurry. And having the option to save as wallpaper would be really nice. Other than that, I am very pleased with the many hours of pixel painting offered and love the variety of pictures.
And, yes, the cat is truly awesome in this new collection. Would absolutely love to see MORE of this type of imagery in future Pixel Art games, not just for the gorgeous pictures but also for the higher level of challenge.
I didn't bother with the demo, just bought it and jumped right in. I always get my money's worth with this series and feel confident recommending Pixel Art. But try the demo, as we all have different opinions. Maybe you, too, will enjoy pixel "painting."
I recommend this game!

but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this little whodunit game. The hidden objects were not so easy to find. The two additional items to discover in each scene were difficult at times. Remember to find them right when you begin each scene. If you overlook them and fail to earn the 3 stars, there is no opportunity to return to the scene to continue looking. You have to wait until you have finished the game. They were very well blended into the surroundings. The graphics being a little dark and all the objects small and not brightly colored, created a decent challenge.
I loved that the jigsaw puzzles were not the usual rinky-dink thing that a toddler could assemble. They were a good size and made sense as part of bringing all the evidence together. I also loved the "find the difference" games, they added that extra fun element for me.
There are 3 different HO modes, fun variety. The 2 types of hints were quick to recharge, the map is okay and haven't needed it yet. The tutorial was simple, easy to understand. Right now I am playing in the Easy Mode which I also use for the demos. But I want to try the Medium and Hard Modes, too. Always fun to experiment with the different levels.
I really like this type of game as a pleasant change from the more involved storylines and fantasy themes. Just a fun hidden object game with no bells and whistles is sometimes a breath of fresh air. I own other games from Seven Sails and they all have been good purchases. There are never any tech problems and their solitaire games are quite good.
The 60 minute demo for today's game seemed gone in a flash, so I purchased right away. I am maybe little more than halfway into the game and liking it a lot. Try the demo, I think you'll find that an HO game need not be big and fancy to be fun. The recent games of this type, lately, have been so disappointing but Seven Sails has delivered a good one, IMO.
I recommend this game!

I own some Magnussoft games, they are always fun and perform well. This new solitaire is really lovely with its bright, beautifully colored artwork. The graphics are so perfectly sharp, I can't imagine anything better. There is a small variety of card fronts and backs, all are quite lovely and make the game visually relaxing.
The music is a little peppy with a few quirky sounds scattered within, but it was pleasant. You can adjust the sound and music levels. There is also a resolution setting. I was impressed with the very in-depth tutorial, everything explained so well that I was left with no confusion which is not always the case with most tutorials. It had the option of being viewed again as often as needed.
The shop is scant, only Wild Card and Joker available. They are costly but the coins earned are very generous. You can afford them when needed if you earn sufficient number of stars as you progress through the levels. There are many levels within 4 locations. You need to complete at least half the levels in one category to unlock the next one, to advance through the 4 available game variations.
The undo is only available if you earn at least $100, 100 points in a level. Amount is deducted from your total earnings shown at top of screen. Hints are not free, either. Your progress board keeps track of what you have accomplished and has repeat play option.
You know, I am lousy at reviewing solitaire games and I hate taking notes because it becomes so tedious. But I played this game long enough (entire first location) which was high/low, to realize this is a quality solitaire game. It has variety of styles, amazing graphics, it's visually excellent with very pretty background and card styles. Everything ran smoothly, not one interruption or stall anywhere.
Hopefully the points I touched on will be helpful and at least encourage you to try the demo. I know more in-depth reviews will arrive shorty to cover what I missed here. It was an enjoyable solitaire that I will purchase, looking forward to the additional locations waiting to be unlocked.
I recommend this game!

I was hoping for more, it just didn't deliver. This mosaic game fell quite short, for me, of being entertaining in the way I am accustomed. I gave it 3 stars only because it ran smoothly on my PC and provided a brief amount of "new to view" mosaics to play, I always like trying the free demos.
The images were very basic, extreme lack of detail. There were very minimal options, so there was no way to spice things up. The tiles were flat and colors, to me, were just average, no interesting shapes to choose as in other mosaic games. I didn't much care for the music and the clinking sound which accompanied the placement of the tiles was annoying.
The pictures were labeled. The numbers displayed alongside and above the grid were easy to see and were crossed off with a black line which was a good feature. I usually struggle seeing them clearly in other mosaic games because the colored numbers are too blended with background, often causing unnecessary errors, at least for me. I didn't find the challenge to be frustrating, there were normal mode and hard mode. The grid backgrounds were in good contrast with the colored tiles, so not so hard on the eyes.
I honestly didn't play the demo long enough to check out how hints and mistakes are used, though my time in each mode required no hints and no errors were made. It was a fairytale story that appealed to me, it could have become more interesting or entertaining further into the game. However, I was not inspired enough to continue.
I recommend this nonogram since it may appeal to others who are just looking for a simple mosaic game to pass some time, it would be great for beginners. But I am so "spoiled" I guess by the games that have all the special stuff and great options, that I would become bored to death with this one in no time at all. So this is a no-buy for me.
Keep faith...be safe everyone
I recommend this game!

A refreshing new mosaic game loaded with lots of great features that we can customize and 4 game modes from which to choose. There are 12 tile shapes that can be previewed before using, to see what they actually look like on the grid, and they are of good size, bright and colorful. And being able to select a dark background is always good.
There are so many things going on here. The demo was a lot of fun, I really like the storyline, the images are nice and easily recognized. Crystals of different colors are earned, each color representing the number of mistakes made. The crystals are important to progress through the game and to gain access to the 4 bonus levels of each chapter.
I am so delighted with this mosaic game, I cannot imagine becoming bored. Everything just wonderfully suits what I need to create interest and fun and the incentive to make no mistakes. Sometimes in other games, I tend to give up trying for the 3 stars and just want to get on to the next puzzle. With this one, I really strive for perfection because I know I will be "rewarded" for my efforts.
Other reviews will cover the things I haven't touched on here. So, again, I think this a dynamite mosaic game. I hope to see more wonderful mosaics from Jet Dog Studios. This one, today, was like a rainbow after a dreary storm. I appreciate all the efforts that created this gem. It has brightened up another too-boring isolation day. Please bring us more to smile about...
I recommend this game!

Do I care? No, not really!! I see no need for 40 penguin mosaic games, when they are all the same over and over again. Yes, the colors are bright and beautiful, the images are outstanding, mosaics are always fun to play and are very relaxing. But Fantasy Mosaics needs to make some changes or something because, at least for me, the enchantment has worn off.
I played the demo for number 40 just to see what's up. But decided, "not much." I can play any of the old Penguin games I own and save $$. Plus I didn't like the images as much in this new installment. New mosaic games are starting to surface now, the developers include a lot of good features, beautiful colors, fun images, and excellent fun to be had by all mosaic fans. So I would rather spend my $$ or coupon with them, rather on another Penguin escapade that leaves me with that de ja vu feeling once more.
Maybe the developers here need to do some brainstorming and come up with something new and refreshing. 40 of anything becomes stale and some kind of change, IMO, would bring back the interest for many of us.
I still recommend the game to those who haven't tried it yet and, of course, to all the die-hard Penguin fans who just can't get enough. Fantasy Mosaics IS an excellent mosaic game.

I really enjoyed playing Magic Wings, liked the owls. There were so many levels, the locations were quite lovely and could be used as wallpapers. The pics were all delightful, very colorful, the tiles were bright and easy to see plus there was a good variety of tile styles.
Completed this fun mosaic game ages ago, don't know how I missed submitting my review. I hope it is not too late to be of use if you are indecisive about purchasing this game. For me, it provided an abundance of relaxing fun. There are up to 3 stars to earn for personal achievement, items to purchase for Merlin's workspace with the coins you earn, 2 hint options available, and the satisfaction of completing 200 nonograms with minimal (if any) guesswork. I thought all the images were excellent, I always like trying to guess what the finished pic will be as I piece it together.
The pictures were labeled but you will have no problem recognizing what they are. The puzzles were a good challenge, only got stuck a couple of times where I needed a hint. I played in both Casual and Advanced Modes for a little variety and tried out each of the tile shapes. I really enjoyed the whole package, not one complaint about Magic Wings.
I do hope this developer brings us more of these awesome mosaic games. I have also purchased their Snow White solitaire games which are very entertaining. IMO, Magic Wings is an excellent purchase. It was a pleasure to play from beginning to end and has great replay value. A good LONG game worthy of my 5 stars.
I recommend this game!
