This is like a lot of 'serve' the people, cash up and improve TM's. There is hardly any tutorial at first and you are left to figure out how the game plays and what the arrows actually want you to do. Once having done that I found it all a bit tedious.
People come to see the animals and you must find the one they want to see, then play a little mini game on most (pick an item, feed the lemur etc) and your happiness and task fulfilled meter fills up..and you go to the cash register where Kerry has to take your money. With this cash you then buy items to make the zoo better, albeit with furnishings or upgrading the animals.
Its just ok in my books. One, you must like this type of series, and two its not the best of the best. If it is your favourite genre you may enjoy it. To me the little mini games were the most fun to be had. As always, try the demo. Its a pass from me.
Spellspire is a thrilling mashup of word game and action role playing game. Pick letters from a grid to spell words and shoot them from your wand as spells. The longer the word, the bigger the blast!

I agree with a previous reviewer who said that this game does not recognise many perfectly valid words from regular dictionaries or scrabble. It takes most of the enjoyment out of it and the gameplay quite difficult. The graphics are dull also. I think you have to be a total 'word buff' to be good at this.

I reviewed the CE of this game and scored it a five. It is a nifty, colourful, quite clever standard TM, but it is quite strategic not just a total walk in the park.
The bonuses (run fast, production etc) appear early which is nice, but there are a lot of new features here that will keep you scurrying. There is a wolf that stops you collecting until you destroy his lair, and he keeps coming back till that is done. There are areas that are blacked out so you dont know what's behind them until you light the torches. (just once I lit the wrong one first and had to repeat as the building I needed was behind that one)
There is the tavern game, a mahjong game with rune symbols, and as I move through I am now coming across other familiar features like dropping the barricade stacks by standing on the rune symbol. There are many familiar features as well as the new ones, but in this game they just have so many to choose from you will not get bored.
There are sawmills and farms, gold mines and quarries to build and upgrade for resources, and magic chests where you get to choose out of 3 which resource you would like. Of course there are bridges and ladders to build and paths to clear.
There are 3 modes of play relaxed, normal and expert. It really is a good game, not repetitive and eye pleasing. Its number 6 but its not a total 'same game'...plenty of new stuff. Always try the demo though to see if it is for you. Enjoy!

I loved 'Kingdom', I loved 'Country' and now I love 'Caveman Tales'. It is exactly the same gameplay as the others in the series, build houses and production buildings, keep the houses fed, and healthy and don't forget to collect the taxes to do so.
There are unlimited workers in the game and you will need that to be so as there are continual tasks and collections in order to meet the goals. The workers are a bit slow at first but as they gain experience they are 'promoted' and get faster.
There are hidden treasure chests to find on each level, and honestly I am so busy with the gameplay I often forget to look. If you go back to get them you must totally repeat the level and they will be in a different place too. You only have to collect them for your achievements and score really, they don't hold up your game progress if you forget in your haste to finish the level. Hovering on the level will let you know if you missed it. Sometimes you can stumble on a gold nugget or if the children are around, free food from the berry bush.
As in most resource TM's there are roads to clear, bridges to build, animals to shoo away and specific buildings for your production resources and your workers, shamans (healers and magic) and hunters. And your population must be kept to a happiness level with food and health.
Sometimes you will be asked to collect a certain number of resources as a goal in addition to your usual tasks, or perhaps to build a festival site, or perform a ritual, all costing some of your rather novel 'stone coins'
I don't usually like 'same games' but with this really top quality series and totally different setting I cant object. You get 15 extra levels on the CE, art, achievements.. and all the usual bells and whistles. It really is a personal choice whether you think it is worth the double price. A good sale will probably decide it for you lol.
Because there is a relax, normal and expert mode there is something for everyone here including a very humorous storyline and dialogue. Try the demo and see how you go. I think it is a great game as far as novelty, strategy, speed, humour and level variety are concerned. Enjoy!

I don't usually review HOPA's, and I don't buy many, but gosh this one is just a delight!
All scenes are bold and colourful, and it has all the bells and whistles including a match3 alternative to the HO's, and a custom mode that you can set to 0 time on hint and skip. These features are usual for this developer anyway, but couple it in this with the continual visual feast screen after screen, and a storyline involving a tiger as the villian instead of a human. The animals all talk. It's a total winner!
Try the demo and I bet you get hooked like me even if it isn't a genre you usually play. Enjoy!

There is nothing new in this game that isn't in most standard match 3 games that let you earn coins to decorate with and loot for powerups.
It does however reek of cute tiles, an amusing storyline that Santa has nicked off to a tropical holiday and its up to you to save Christmas. You will decorate his house while he is gone. There are heaps of decorations and as you earn the gold to buy them, each item you buy gives you gems to buy powerups. At this point I cant imagine having to buy many as 'in board' power ups are very easy to make with your matches and come thick and fast to explode things.
There are three modes, relax, challenge (limited moves) and timed. Then within those, casual or expert choice. I finished with way too much time in casual. Most levels require dropping things from the board as well as clearing the tiles and collecting a number of specific tiles.
Its nothing new, but it plays smoothly and I really like that the decorations are movable to make Santa's room however you would like it. A good little time filler (or waster) and an absolute eye pleaser. Its totally chock full of Christmas cute.

Its not often a game can get to this amount in a series and still come up shining. The developers of this series bother to change their tiles, their storylines and give good value amount of levels to all their games
The Laruaville series is a tad easier in the main game than its 'cousin who is cursed'. And it is designed that way, so we can pick which one is our preference. There are bonus rounds which appear after you play a certain amount of levels, and on one half of them there is a new feature of playing a dual against their AI, who if it beats you seems to get kinder eventually lol. And on the other half the dreaded 'black coins' are back that you cant touch or 'game over'
I was pleasantly surprised how often new tiles were introduced and they are visually pleasing. So whilst I haven't seen any 'really new' features, you DO feel like you are playing a different game.
There are all the usual suspects, fire tiles, frozen coins, droplets, blank areas that don't burn, and coins to join etc. It did take me a repeat on one 'join coin' level in fact to get my game mojo in form, as there was an order to which coins went first. I wasted time moving one, only to get to the end and find I was blocked. Clever.
A difference I didn't like as much was that to me it seemed harder to know if my fires were still burning in this one? Not as bright. The mini games are exactly the same, mahjong, spot the difference, hidden object and poker...but I skip them. I play in timed, but there is a relaxed and limited moves. . Even if you own all the others I still think you will enjoy this game. The storyline is very humorous, and the whole game is clever, good value and feel good. Enjoy!

I don't dislike this game but it just didn't inspire me. It has a large variety of tasks to mix things up a bit, and game play is extraordinarily smooth and responsive.
Firstly I found it WAY to easy playing in timed/casual and so I swapped to expert. That did make it more challenging, but it still left me a little flat. there are lots of modes to mix and match.
I skipped one of the also easy mingames, (and they are quite sweet)..and it still gave me three stars.
I found some things confusing..but nothing I couldn't work out along the way with all the time I had lol. Gamepieces that needed to be dropped from the board, what I had to do to make the creepy man spit at and remove the gems (I hope that isn't God?) and what I had to do to remove some blocks, ( I didn't see at first I needed to collect the number of symbols in the middle of the block to get rid of them) These things were not explained, but you can work them out
One thing I didn't like is the end level exploding rockets!! But its not as bad as some..over fairly quickly, and I didn't get to choose my curser. I also really couldn't work out where I was most times on the tower even though there were arrows up and down, so I gave in and just kept pressing play and letting it lead me upwards. (perhaps that's the design lol)
All in all, not the worst and not the best. Even though it is called the tower of god, I don't really see that theme as strongly emphasised and its really just a cute M3. Do try the demo before making your decision.

This (other than the storyline) plays exactly the same as its predecessor. Fulfill quests, search a map for treasure, open chests, and basically gather as much loot as you can by matching wood, gold, shields (which fill your jump meter) and food. (There is always an extra bonus task on each level as well) Sometimes you may need to play a minigame to open things.
So what makes it a CE? There are achievements, wallpapers, a behind the scenes look, soundtrack, and 25 extra levels once you complete the main game. You are asked in the main game also to unlock extra? locations by finding map pieces and paying to open them.. There are bonuses that help you jump, move fast or explode things etc, earned by taking on quests. I don't know if they appear if you don't lol?
It does play very smoothly, (my first game floated around a bit), and you are asked at the start of each level which mode relaxed or timed if you leave that checked on the menu. You can swap at any time, and relaxed still gets gold on full completion. (I like that it asks you if you want to finish once you have the runes and bonus goal to find quest items or get a gold medal by fully checking and gathering everything). That's where relaxed can become good option if you have a lot of side quest items to find as well as trying to match the sequence order at the top for more resources. Just toggle, as you can choose your level from the map. All up to your own sense of fulfilled play.
It has a good story, but I like to skip and just play..that option is available, The strategy guide is more a 'how to play a clever game' explaining how to use each piece to advantage rather than how to play the levels. You are on your own for that.
Really its similar to other games of this ilk, and pretty much the same gameplay again, but it is very user friendly. Things are set out well, and you have choices on what is set to 'on and off'. I bought the CE for the extra levels and achievements, but this is going to please in both SE and CE. Its all just choice. Enjoy!

The return of an old favourite with some changes. This is a chain linked M3 you can play in relaxed, normal, or advanced.
In the previous offerings you used your acumen to restore cities that had been destroyed. In this one you will restore an underwater world. It is pre destined so you don't choose what is restored, but its a 3D and very pleasant, serene setting.
This game has the lot! There are achievements and also collectables (shells) that are found on the sea bed of the underwater scene (60) Seems like a lot, but in the main game, there are 108 levels to create the world. This is done by collecting hearts, gold, flowers etc from the game boards. Each one tells you what you are collecting. Some give fish, some plants , some buildings and sea dwellers (mermaids etc)
I am playing in a timed mode and at the end you are not given 'stars'..but you can check your progress by accessing the levels tab in the left hand corner of UWWorld. You can then replay..because that also gives you more of the resource (and a gold cup instead of silver) After you restore the world (main game) there are even EXTRA levels to play!
Each time you earn an achievement it shows up on the top right menu which also shows you how many shells you have collected. They are not marked on the levels though so not sure if you can miss them?
All in all this is an excellent value game with plenty of 'explosions' that do not have silly rockets and whistles going off, they are realistic, and the whole game has a really feel good element to it because you ARE in control of your gameplay and how the tiles fall (or explode)
If you are familiar with the series, its an old friend again, and if not try it, I think you will get hooked. Its a welcome relief from the cutie childlike graphics of many recent M3's of late. Don't miss this one!
