I have played this game multiple times before. the evil whoever wanting to take over the world. Oh yes I am the persistent one yet again. When we got to the airship I thought he's going to appear in the sky then I'll have to move side to side to avoid things coming at me, then I'll crash land on an island or something. check check check. sigh One can only buy the same game in a different location so many times. Please Please Please give us something new and maginative. another reviewer said it best.. these games are going to have to innovate or die. I couldn't agree more.
I don't recommend this game.

finally a game I can get into. First thing.. no went missing.. no one was "kidnapped". Thank the lord! we have done that to death and then some. This one is about a killer who it turns out is seeking revenge on specific people. Wow a real storyline.
AND your character actually speaks... in his own voice. I love that. It makes the game seem so much more interesting than just reading script. There is plenty of interaction with other characters (your ex cop partner, the killer, other police) who also speak. There are both morphing objects and collectibles and a good selection of achievements. The HO scenes are interesting.. each also has a morphing object and most require you to move other objects to locate the ones from the list. The graphics are very good and the length is decent.
Overall this was one of the better games I have played in a while. I get tired of empty rooms with locked and missing items with a kidnapped storyline. There are only so many times you play that same game. If you feel that way too, then you will like this one. It's different, interesting and quite well done
I recommend this game!

I couldn't even finish this game. It put me to sleep every time I started to play it. You are locked in some weird museum. That's the storyline. Then you back and forth. .room to room.. looking for missing pieces. No interaction with other characters, no cut scenes, no jumps in the chair, nothing to get you excited, no intensity or drama. Just back and forth room to room. Maybe if I could have stayed awake and played it longer it would get better? For me this game marks the death of MCF. Too bad they used to be my fave and I would get really excited when they came out. those days are long gone it seems.
I don't recommend this game.

WHY have we had to wait so long for a quality game like this? This trilogy has an excellent storyline complete with demons and an arch angel. The graphics are beautiful, the music lovely and the game has some length. wonderful. When I looked at the achievements before I began, I saw complete a HO scene with less than four clicks and scoffed. no problem I thought. But the HO scenes were complex and challenging. finally. thank you! So was some of the adventure play. You really had to think sometimes about how to proceed. This has been REALLY lacking in a lot of recent offerings. There were also several searches.. for white feathers, some primrose looking flowers and for morphing skulls that were not always easy. Loved it. The other thing I love about this series is the occasional jump in your chair when people appear unexpectedly. awesome. Now lets hope that Artifex Mundi does not do what other developers have done and continue this series to death with each game's quality diminishing significantly. Leave this as an outstanding trilogy and begin work on another. I for one will be waiting to buy it in a heartbeat. great game. Loved it and it's been so long since I have played a challenging, intriguing smart game like this one. I do play on expert so a player who wants more help can easily find it.
I recommend this game!

It's been a long time since I've written a review after BFG inexplicably and repeatedly refused a perfectly good one a while back but I wanted to add one for this game. First.. it's beautiful. moving butterflies and lovely colors in virtually every scene. It's bright, pretty and a joy to be in this environment. It has some length and for me the best part was..as always with Boolat games.. the mini games throughout that ranged in difficulty from super easy to one I had to skip. very good. I like a mix even if I do have to skip one. they were really fun to play. The downside of this one was the lack of extras. Hardly any collectibles or morphing objects. There was one silly creature that fades in and out but only 12 through the whole game. The other lacking element in my opinion were the achievements. At least half were just 4 playing and none were challenging to achieve. The storyline here was pretty standard but all in all the game was quite well done and I did enjoy playing. You may find though that the standard edition would do just as well as the bonus game was short and the CE perks were pretty thin.
I recommend this game!

this game looked good.. no doubt about it. The storyline was somewhat interesting and there were collectibles, morphing objects and a decent amount of achievements. I did though have the feeling of seeing it all before. The mini games were few and far between and extremely easy.. like really, really easy and the HO scenes were all find this to open that. It did have a good map and excellent graphics. The cut scenes were very well done. The VO's were good although everyone had a voice but me... well my character. Overall this was a well done game but it had nothing new. Lots of locks, missing pieces and empty rooms with super simplistic mini games and I played in hard mode. I am sure this one took plenty of work to make and I appreciate that. I just didn't find anything new or exciting.
I recommend this game!

but gets better. I must say when I first started to play the demo, I thought.. this game is not for me. The guy gets yanked away by some roses and oops he's dead? okay. weird. But I had read another reviewer's review that said it got better as it went along. I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad I did. About halfway through I realized that I quite liked it. The graphics were good, I had fun with some of the mini games, it had some length and although a bit convoluted and hard to follow .. I am still not sure how the roses came to be, for example.. there was a decent storyline. Add to that some fun achievements plus both collectible roses and morphing objects and it did turn out to be pleasant and kinda fun. I liked the little box that required a blood drop to tell you the story and the squirrels were cute. While I wouldn't say it was a five star game, but it was not a bad game either. Much better than I thought it was going to be in the beginning.
I recommend this game!

Wow this is my kind of game. Decent storyline about serial killers who were caught but have now become vampires and are back to claim the one victim who managed to get away.

Collectible masks that are not that easy to find and to make it harder they fade in and out. Good mix of HO's... work from the list or some put items back in or you could play a little match 3 game instead. quite fun. Lots of interesting characters to interact with who's VO's were good and even the character I was playing had a voice. I like that. Extras like a camera and a dark room to develop the photos that you then put to use in the game. I liked that the darkroom had a link to the last place you were so you just jump back there. I also liked having the multi tool so you were not always searching for tools that you just had a few minutes ago. This game also had some length so it was worth the cost.
Now to my fave part.. the mini games. I loved the harder ones like the swapping of the key chains. But even some of the easier ones like placing colored circles and making shapes with wire were really fun to play. I did mess up my one achievement of not skipping any of them as one of the games that required you to flip numbers to get them in order would not work on mine. The white directional arrows did nothing but it did not lessen the fun I had with this game. Little things like music changing with each location so it's not a repetitive annoying loop and small extras like dragonflies and crickets in the swamp made it feel like they took their time on this one. Really enjoyed the bonus chapter and the surprise ending. All in all this game had what is required most fun, length and some thought provoking mini games. well done I really enjoyed it.
I recommend this game!

I liked this one but I felt like I had played it many times before. I do like the amount of extras they have in each scene.. the things that move or change or do something when you click them.. and I like the graphics and VO's. They were really well done. The HO scenes were pretty standard but I like having the option of a second choice, in this case a puzzle, to do instead. Most of the mini games were super easy except the final one. For me at least, leaving the hardest one for the end is not always a good idea. I am often getting ready to be done with the game and would rather the harder ones be midway but that's nit picky I think. The reason this game gets only 3 stars from me is the storyline or lack of. We have seen this same storyline over and over again. Between the hard copy ones I have at home and my online account I think I have 200 or so games and the repetition in the storylines is depressing. We deserve new and exciting games, not just the recycling of the same stories in different locales over and over. I finished the main game fairly happily despite the storyline but after rescuing Sonya once, the extra chapter opened with her being kidnapped once again. I just can't do it again. So despite the fact that the morphing objects and the collectibles continued into the extra chapter, which I like, I did not finish it. There was a lot to like here. Good graphics, good VO's , nice HO scenes and plenty of extra clicking fun but for me at least the storyline was a let down. I give this one a recommendation just due to the fact that it was well put together and had both collectibles and morphing objects.
I recommend this game!

For me, this game was just not comparable to the previous ones. It had good graphics and use of color and a different storyline but it seemed all fluff and no substance. Mini games were few and far between and what was there was very easy. No challenge at all. Even a few of the game details I thought were off. Our brother is in ICU in the hospital but when we get to his room, he is in a bed with a shelf over it with books, a painting and a potted cactus. The room also has huge wooden shutters and a balcony. This is ICU? It looked more like a hotel room than a hospital. Also things like you find the first aid kit and it's locked. Right. The whole point of a first aid kit is so that everything is right at hand quickly when you need it. No one locks one. There were more but you get the picture.
HO scenes were okay. They did have a morphing object to find and the game had collectible diamonds. But to me, this game felt either rushed or just pieced together from others before it. It's too bad because owning pretty much everything Mad Head has done so far, I was excited to see this one. As always try it for yourself. You may like it more than I did. It did have a lot of cut scenes and a different if not somewhat odd storyline.
I don't recommend this game.
