This game keeps you thinking. The same brother and sister, Tom and Nelly, are in this game, just as in the others in the series. There is a missing jewel, the Ruby Heart. There is also a master criminal behind all the problems in the story. Tom and Nelly go all over the world looking for the jewel. They meet a different ghost in each of five chapters, and their job is to help the ghost. All the tasks for the chapter are listed for you. There is also a hint system, but at times the hints are vague, and you really have to think about what to do next. In most scenes there are objects to click on, and when you do, circles pop up. Your job is to find all the related objects in the circles so you can get an important object. At other times you find hidden object scenes and get something you need at the end. There is a penalty for random clicking. There is also quite a bit of backtracking to find things you need, which is why I gave this game four stars instead of five. But this is still fun and definitely recommended.

This is a wonderful game if you're interested in looking for hidden objects. You can learn lots of interesting facts about Australia while you're looking for objects in various scenes. Besides the regular objects, each scene has three hidden boomerangs to find. If you find them all you get lots of extra points, extra days in your vacation, as well as access to two bonus games, Unlimited Seek and Find and Match 3. Each round has an average of four scenes, and there is a puzzle at the end. The art work is clear and there is a good hint system. You can choose to play a timed or untimed game. I enjoy playing this game when I just want to relax. Definitely recommended.

This is a different kind of hidden object game. There are locks at the bottom of the scene, and you must find a certain number of rings, each of which has pictures of hidden objects for you to find. There is no list. Most of the objects, in my opinion, are impossible to find, and I found that very annoying. Since there is to penalty for clicking, and the game isn't timed, I just clicked away until I found an object and then figured out which ring to put it in. More than one ring can be showing at a time. The hint button is very slow to recharge. Once you put all the objects in all the rings you have to solve some kind of puzzle. There is a skip button if you can't figure it out. I thought the idea of the game had a certain kind of charm, two kids out searching for treasure. If you can stand all the random clicking to find things, and that's basically what you're doing, then give the game a try. I'd definitely do the one hour free trial on this one.
I don't recommend this game.

I liked this game for the most part. It's what I call a time-killer. Something I play just for enjoyment and it doesn't need deep thought or too much problem solving. One of the very best things about the game is that every single hidden object scene is different, which is very rare for HO games. That being said though, the visual quality was fairly fuzzy at times and some of the hidden objects were very difficult to find. It's a timed game and there is no untimed option available. It wasn't a problem though, as they give you plenty of time. There is also a clicking penalty. The hint button recharges quickly if you have difficulty finding things and have to ask for help. In each hidden object scene there are two yellow notes, and if you find all of them you will unlock the unlimited play section of the game. At the end of each chapter with three or four HO scenes there is a mini-game. These games are a little different and I found them interesting. I did enjoy this game, even with it's faults, so I'm recommending it.

This game is definitely a challenge. Some of the hidden objects were very difficult to find, but the hints can help out if necessary. I thought some of the puzzles were pretty difficult. I don't ever like to skip them, but sometimes I had to in order to keep playing. I couldn't figure out what to do next a few times and had to check out the blog walkthrough on the Big Fish website. With all of that, however, it's a very interesting game. You will have to work to finish it, but that's the challenge and half the fun!
I recommend this game!

I really liked playing this game. It's mostly hidden objects. Each HO scene has two other things to find also, a tin can and a hint button. You can collect several hint buttons which will help you to find those objects that are very hard to find. The story behind this game is interesting. A woman was somehow manipulating time and accidently sent quite a few people on a train into a different time. She has asked you for help in getting them back to the present time. At the end of each area you find a time box that has to be placed in a certain spot on a round table. When you've found all 12 boxes then the time mistake will be corrected and the people from the train will be able to return home. The game is kept interesting by having some variety in the HO scenes. Sometimes you have to open a drawer, sometimes move something out of the way, sometimes go into another area and get something you need, and so on. I definitely recommend this game!

Even though this game is called Everest, you still wind up going all over the world in order to find clues you need to get to Everest near the end of the game. In each location there are two or three scenes, each with 9 hidden objects. Besides the HO's there are 5 hidden jewels in each scene that help you to earn extra hints, and there is a hidden hourglass which gives you a little more time. Yes, the game is timed, but I had very little problem finishing in the time allowed. In each location there is one secret item, and the goal is to find all 20. At the end of each location there is some kind of mini-puzzle. At the end of the game you have a chance to see photographs and read about a real climb up Mount Everest. I enjoyed playing this game. My only complaint is that some of the objects were either very tiny or they were so well hidden that it was impossible to find them. In some spots you really do need to use the hints. Most of the time though the objects were either easy to spot or you could find them with some searching. Good game!

I really enjoyed playing this game. It's 20 levels, with 3-5 HO scenes in each level and a jewel puzzle at the end of each. The journal entry at each level tells the story of the Midnight Heart. The game is timed, and I ran out of time twice, but that's not too bad. When you repeat the level several of the items are the same, so it's much easier the second time. In each HO scene you look for jewels, which buy bonuses, and coins, which buy extra hints. Once in a while there is a moving screen and you have to find 20 of a certain item as it scans along. The only downside to the game was that some items were very hard to find, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Otherwise this is a fun and well-made HO game.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed playing this game, but at the same time it was pretty frustrating. Good points: It's interesting and has a good story. There is no penalty for clicking, so if you're having trouble finding hidden objects, you can click away. The art work is very good. It's not timed, so you can play at your own pace. The journal has objectives, so if you're not sure what you should be doing next, you can look in there. Some negatives: hints are only for the HO scenes, not for what to do next. However, if there's a mini-game and you ask for a hint, it solves the mini-game for you. It's very easy to get stuck in this game and not know what to do. You also don't exactly know what all of the items are in your inventory. They pop in there, but sometimes you're not sure what it is, or what it's for. In some games if you hover the cursor over the item you can see what it's called, but not in this game. I do recommend this game, but know ahead of time that you might get pretty frustrated.

This is basically a HO game with many levels, and at each level there are a couple of other puzzles, including a jewel board puzzle. There is no untimed option however, which creates a ton of pressure as you get farther along in the game. Each level gets longer and harder. This game is complex enough to be interesting. You have to find the hidden objects, but you're also looking for hidden jewels and coins in each scene. The coins will buy you extra hints, while the jewels will buy you upgrades to use while you're trying to finish the jewel board at the end of each level. I had to do each level twice because I ran out of time every single time. The second effort was easier because some of the HO's were the same and I knew where they were. You only have a few hints, and it's easy to run out of them. If you get to the jewel board and run out of time, you only have to start that part over again, not the whole level. After trying some of the harder jewel boards 4 or 5 times, the game finally offers you a skip button for that part. I think games like this should offer an untimed option. That would make a world of difference and this game would be enjoyable. If you don't mind playing under lots of pressure, this would be a good game. Because I definitely don't enjoy playing that way, I can't recommend the game.
