This game is going down as one of my all time favorites. The storyline is unique and the puzzles are multi-layered as the main character earns and learns the mystery of the power stones. This game is a long one and it is fun all the way to the very end. I hope there will be a sequel to continue the adventure.
All the essential elements for a great game where presented at the start; music, graphics, characters showing potential for developing some depth; multiple tab inventory; and the story line piqued my interest. Unfortunately, all of those things did not play through the entire game which lead to my disappointment. The map did not offer teleportation which lead to tedious traipsing back and forth; there was a glitch in the middle of the game. And, after reading the forums the best fix was to delete and reinstall the game-which I did-as I cannot leave anything half way, I started all over again. The second install played through without any problems. Overall, the game fell flat in my expectations. I'm recommending this game as there are some redeeming elements peppered throughout that you may like but those elements weren't enough to override the taste of disappointment.
I'm a big fan of New York Mysteries and this CE game did not let me down. The story line was unique and kept my interest throughout the game. The bonus game was frosting on the cake.
What a fun game! I love discovering a new developer and Blue Brains is it. There is just enough suspense to make me jump every once in a while. Most of the HO scenes are 2 stage play and a couple 3 stage thrown in for a pleasurable experience. The graphics and sound add to the great story line. You've got to play this one!
Overall the game was short on playing time even with the CE version. It might have felt like a longer game if the HO scenes and puzzles were more challenging. The characters throughout the story lacked the development I usually look for to go along with this game's excellent storyline. Because of the lack of challenge at an Intermediate Level of play and weak character development, I rate it as an okay game but not a great game.
I haven't played a fun and unique game like this in quite a while. There are surprises that come flying at you around a few corners. The HO scenes are multiple step-which adds to the quality of this gaming experience.
The story line is interesting as it has bit of the truth in it relating to Harry Houdini's quirks and his mystery shrouded death.
I've played all the MCF Ravenhearst. The first few games in this series seemed more satisfactory. Maybe because everything was fresh and I couldn't wait until the next installment came out. I can't give this a full five star rating as this game was not the best in the series.
I have to report the graphics and sound were spectacular. The game length was satisfactory and the multiple level puzzles were fun and provided just enough challenge.
The Bonus Game was from a different character perspective and I found that interesting.
The Ravenhearst saga however, was and is getting old and needs to be laid to rest along with the Dalimar patriarch and his spawn.
If I could give a rating of 4 1/2 I would have as this game came very close to its predecessor LL the Four Horsemen. Our main heroine, Susan is sucked into a vortex once again to aid the mage, Maaron in saving two worlds, his and hers from an ancient curse.
The game length is long and keeps your attention. The story line is unique and interesting. The HO scenes were not your typical find the object but rather a progressive HO where one object is needed to unlock the next piece.
I really enjoyed the prequel bonus game which added depth to the Lost Land series.
I can't say enough good points this game brings to the experience! Maze: Subject 360 CE has it all!-fantastic story line; characters that bring the story to life; graphics; sound; and suspense. I haven't had this much fun with a "mature audience" thriller since True Fear: Forsaken Souls CE. 360 offers the edge of my seat, can't leave the screen, haunts my dreams kind of playing that only comes once in blue moon. Get this game!
