A Bit Disappointed by This Haunted Hotel Game

I'm a fan of the Haunted Hotel series and I've purchased them all through BFG. There was nothing that stands out in this game to make it a great gaming experience. The HO scenes were too easy but there are a couple of great "Rube Goldberg" type puzzles that were fun.
The main game story line could have been been more involved with details. And, the Bonus Chapter left me wondering was it supposed to be an alternate ending? a prequel? or just another tangent off the main story all together?
Overall this game left me feeling ho-hum and makes me wonder why the key contributors seemed to give it rave reviews.
I don't recommend this game.

I'm a little hesitant in buying standard versions but the trial play pulled me in from the beginning. The story line is great! And, the graphics are reminisce of the Myst type genre.
One drawback for those of us who like HO type games is the HO scenes were way too easy.
Overall this is a great game to while away a snowy Sunday afternoon.
I recommend this game!

This game stands above the most recent of its kind by far! The storyline is great and carries the gaming fun around to all the quests and challenges. The main game is just long enough to satisfy this gamer. The bonus chapter in the CE version adds a different twist of gaming experience by being a prequel rather than a sequel. Nice job Five-BN Games!
If there was one down-side, it would have to be the too easy HO scenes but that can be easily overlooked with the substance of the whole game.
I recommend this game!

The Haunted Hotel series is a favorite of mine. The storyline was great! This game could have been better in a few areas.
The game length was a tad too short and didn't close the story in a satisfactory manor; the last chapter felt rushed and incomplete.
The bonus material was good but not great. There was no option to return to the story and find the missed collector items. In my opinion, having the option of recouping the missed collector items is the mark of a well-made, well-planned gaming experience.
I really enjoyed the alternate ending cut scene.
Overall I recommend the game as it is still a fun experience to play.
I recommend this game!

I've played all of the Amaranthine games and I've enjoyed the storylines. This game was in the same vein as the previous in the series. If there is one complaint is has to do with more than a couple of the puzzles; the instructions were vague. I play at the intermediate level and consider it cheating if I look at the player's guide offered in the CE's but there was a few puzzles I had to look at the guide to discern what was the objective.
I recommend this game!

Interesting story line that begins with an innocent game of hide & seek with the town's children.
The "Extras" section in the CE give the player the added option to return to the many game scenes to collect the bonus objects you may have missed which when completed, unlocks a nice mini-game.
Overall it is a great HO and Adventure game. I highly recommend the Collector's Edition for the additional bonus chapter which wraps up the story nicely.
I recommend this game!

MCF lives up to its fun potential. My favorite genre is hidden objects and adventure and this game supplies both. I didn't rate it 5 stars as I feel there is room for game improvement. I think important clues were missing to keep the game rolling along more smoothly. Over-all a good playing game to occupy the time.

I purchased the standard version (not the collector's edition) and found the challenge, quality and mechanics of the game mediocre at best. Clicking map locations does not bring you to the scene - a big plus in better designed games that are the same price.
I don't recommend this game.
