Review of completed demo. Very different and filled with detailed artwork/graphics of amazing other worldly creatures. There are two major players--Jane and her adopted brother Jace and two enemies--Humans and Others.
An absolute must, for me, in any game--consistent, developing story and characters. The story and characters can then be as outlandish as imaginable with no problem. Numerous creative puzzles peppered throughout. Another plus is that gamers are not simply running around to and fro picking up objects to put here and there.
First thought was that Developers 4 Friends brought us a game for new and beginner gamers. However, the game is totally unique that I found myself wanting to simply enjoy the journey rather than critique and compare.

That's really the game in a nutshell. The beginning and ending were interesting. The middle was a long pursuit of finding objects here and there and everywhere to put here and there and everywhere. Too many blue and green, pink and purple colors.
A story can be far-fetched and still keep it's integrity which this game started off well, wandered into oblivion and then returned for an abrupt unpredictable ending.
Read some of the reviews about how far-fetched the story for Vikings to have been in North America. ERS actually did their research and this is true fact. The Vikings were fierce, world travelers who conquered the land and the seas.
One scene for instance, though, is where the Deputy gets abducted by the villain and is whisked away. Next scene, the Deputy is smiling and is saying just feel free to look around, etc.
I, for one, was pulling out my hair with the hidden objects in finding an item and having to replace it back into the picture. The absolute faster I can go, the better, but not here.
Recommend that the game is good for beginners, younger gamers, gamers who like a lengthy game and don't mind a scattered story line--much like a cartoon.
Purchased the CE based on what I thought was a promising beginning that spiraled out of control into the zany world of ERS and then surfaced again to a conclusion. Have purchased and played enough of these types of ERS games. Just don't appreciate what seems to be a demo misrepresentation--a promising game that veers off the mark.
It's just the best example to share with other games. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Took a while to finish this game and wanted to leave a positive review for EleFun. Beautiful, bold colors with high quality artwork, puzzles and appropriate time era hidden objects. Particularly liked being able to switch to Mah Jong in lieu or in addition to finding hidden objects.
For all ages, gamers are playing the sequel to Ship of Spirits that brought both stories together quite well. Developers included much of the ancient Mayan, Aztec and Mexico artifacts that touched on their sorrowful history of conquest. The blood-stained hands of greedy, murderous soldiers literally stole their precious gems and metals that ultimately obliterated the Indians' traditional, religious beliefs since these were part of their faith.
Gamers are in for a treat in viewing the lush and ancient artwork. Game was lengthy with numerous hidden objects, collecting humming birds and the beyond morphing objects. Extra content includes all the goodies including a bonus chapter, video replays, wallpaper, concept art, music, mahjong, etc.
Like the Mayan Indians, this game is ahead of it's time and will long outlast many of the "shallow" newer games in my humble opinion. Happy to have added to my BFG Collection.

Not to compare with the first three House of 1000 Doors, gameplay was immature and tedious. Throughout the game, would I want to hold out Emily's hand and trace symbols to rid of the evil infection? I think not. We all learned how to trace in 1st grade.
What's the point of the House of 1000 Doors, when our heroine is given a quick introduction and sent away on her own? No expanding story line. No challenge whatsoever especially in collecting mean, ugly looking faces throughout.
Rather than do a poor job in trying to ride the coat tails of a once successful series, start a new story completely and maybe develop a winning combination for BFG gamers who deserve better.

Game certainly had an eerie, scary ambience from the outset which was rather unsettling. Like stepping into a Stephen King novel or movie. Gamers also have to adjust to the differences in this game that appear a slower pace, however, is necessary to keep pace with the game's eerie pulse. The world as you know it has drastically changed with a deadly virus around and, just like any other tragedy, all appears to go in slow motion.

Thoroughly enjoyed game in every aspect with the right amount of ominous overtones. Every time I stepped on that dark elevator--brrrr--what was going to be on the other side when that door opened? Seriously had me on the edge of my seat that dinner was rather late a couple times during gameplay. Shame on me!
A real gem for me. Thank you Developers for a job very well done. Noted and appreciated the details y'all included with game. Puzzles and Hidden Objects were fun with the right amount of challenge. Hint very helpful in terms that it is specific on what needs to be done and transports you there.
Overall game play certainly deserves high review marks!

I am unsure of why reviewers are so quick to give a negative response on a good game! Having neither worked as hard as any of these Developers, our meager part here is in playing, maybe writing in a review for other gamers and, hopefully, purchasing. Besides, demo reviews are based purely on playing a mere fraction of the time, energy, dedication and hard work invested to create a game. I am weary of seeing the "sainted games" get all the great advertising and undeserved five star reviews.
Having said that, the story is the game and this one has a true mystery to solve which is something to look forward to for we gamers---or we Detectives! I like straight forward and would like to see more of these older game styles brought back as there is much too much glitter and glitz and not enough gaming substance.
Small Town Terrors has not disappointed gamers so far and this game is no exception! For this buy one, get one weekend, Galdor's Bluff is an immediate purchase to add to my BFG collection! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Beautifully drawn game and, yes, there's a story! Was a relief not running room to room wondering what ridiculous object goes in what more ridiculous apparatus. So on and so on until game ends!

I didn't think ERS could create a fitting sequel to the original "Phantasmat" game by Codeminion but they succeeded--much to my amazement and gratitude.
From the onset, I thought ERS was, again, giving the entire game away in the 1st few minutes by telling the story rather than allowing the story line to develop. Thankfully, I was wrong. One of the better games played and one of the best ERS games in a very long time that was interesting, mysterious and had really great characters we could love, hate or pity. Some parts were so sad and any game that can evoke real emotions is an excellent one!
Kudos to ERS for a masterpiece, even if it was a little choppy at 1st, they pulled it all together.

Gave a rather disappointing review on the CE demo. Purchased game anyway and turned out to be a very good game indeed! Yes, was dark and foreboding. Yes, story line well written and developed with interesting twists and turns.
Gamers just can never really determine by the demo if the game is extraordinary or blah. Sign of the Spirit turned out to be an excellent choice.
Thank you, Developers. Apologize for the not-so-great initial CE review. I did purchase the CE after all and was pleased with overall game play! 5 Stars! Bravo!
