I always hoped if BoomZap made a comeback they would finish off the "Otherworld" series as they did a summer, spring and fall but never a winter edition. Instead we have this dull, heavy dialogued blast from the past. I don't mind just finding items sometimes but I wish there was a way to turn off the dialogue instead of having to click through it as there is a lot of it and I couldn't care less what is being said. Also, the difficulty level here is insanely easy. BoomZap had this magic about their games and its lost here. Where are the gorgeous graphics their Awakening games had? This must have come from a cutting room floor somewhere because surely if they were trying to make a comeback into hidden object games, they wouldn't put out this trash right? I saw the reviews saying this game was bad but I had to try it myself as I love these developers and thought maybe people were just being too harsh....IF anything, they were being too nice.
I don't recommend this game.

I just finished Bonfire Stories-Heartless and I LOVED it! I was so happy to be behind on games and for a new one to be waiting for me to try. Thankfully I didn't buy it outright because it's like the developers hired a whole new team and a time machine brought me back to 2007 when I started because this game is all hidden object scenes. There is ZERO adventure. You get a map, you can go to one scene at a time and find objects, that's it. I hoped it would get better so I played the entire demo, only to be sorely disappointed. While I don't mind hidden object only games, I like to know that's what I am getting and based on the first two games in this series, I wasn't expecting it so it was a huge shock. Heartless is one of the best hidden object games I have EVER played like the story line is FABULOUS so to go from that to this is unreal!
Please go back to your original style with whoever wrote Heartless and you'll have a hit. Very disappointed!
I don't recommend this game.

I decided not to get the CE and I didn't regret it at all because this game has such a great story! I only like CE's if I need the filler of collectibles/achievements because its the same old story but this one kept my attention the entire time and I loved it.
There was a nice mix of hidden object scenes/mini games. None of the mini games insulted my intelligence level and some even stumped me (I see you puzzle near the end). The story line was fantastic and played like a real movie. Whoever wrote this story line needs to keep going because it was fun, scary and intriguing like I couldn't wait to keep going and find out everything. And then when you learn whats going on, WOW! Some of it I figured out but there was a part near the end that surprised me and I'm a seasoned veteran of HOG games, been playing them since 2007 and not much is new to me so that was a big plus!
Curious to see if they do a sequel to this game because although the conclusion was satisfying, there is still potential there.
More like this please~!
I recommend this game!

This is an oldie but goodie. I had bought this years ago and never got around to playing it but I am glad I finally did. This is a very interactive game. It is just finding objects BUT they are well hidden and about 4 in each scene are usable in other scenes to unlock gems and runes. Finding the gems and runes are kind of like finding collectibles except you need them to advance. This game is a bit unique in the fact that each level has 3-4 hidden object scenes you walk around in at once. The reason this is unique is because when this game released the concept of actually walking around rooms was almost unheard of. At that time, most hidden object games were stagnant screens where you just clicked at items whereas this game gave players the ability to explore different spaces and use the items found in new ways. Although this game may be old school today, at the time this game came out, it was revolutionary.
There are no voiceovers but they are not needed. There is a hint button and skip if you don't want to do the mini games but I found them to be doable. The game graphics are cartoon like and some of the items are hard to see but I think that's due to the age of the game. It was about a 2hr game give or take. The perfect game for a daily deal or a free game. I recommend if it will play on your computer. I am playing this on a really outdated Mac laptop running OS 10.6.8 so I am not sure what it would be like on newer models.
I recommend this game!

I am replaying my oldies and this one is a classic finding objects game with a bit of a zany twist with the influx of crazy characters and psychedelic scenes. You are playing as Ms Teri Tale who is trying to help solve the case of her murdered friend! There is mild interaction in the hidden object scenes and some mindless mini games. The game is quite amusing between the writings in the notebook, the items you find and the people you encounter. The people have real life heads and small arms and bodies which makes them look like weird puppets and adds to the quirkiness of this game.
I happen to really enjoy this game because its just off the wall and different than most hidden object games from this time. There are hints in the form of a clover that recharge after you use them. It doesn't take all that long to recharge but unlike hidden object games these days, the items are actually well hidden and blended within the scenes giving it a bit of difficulty that I really enjoyed.
IF you like just finding objects, like weird characters and scenarios this game might be up your alley. I dig it! and I enjoyed replaying it. Its been so long that I didn't remember anything except for the weird heads lol
I recommend this game!

I have always LOVED the Youda hidden object games. They all have beautiful graphics, actual hidden items in the HO scenes and somewhat challenging puzzles. So now that I am trying to play all the games I have bought over the years but never played, this one went to the top of the list.
This is a relaxing game but it can be made timed if you want a challenge. There are diamonds to find in each scene that help speed up the hint button if you use it. The game doesn't tell you how many diamonds there are in each scene but some have A LOT (more then 10). They not only speed up your hint button BUT add decoration to the side of your screen. Part of why I like these games are the sound effects and this game is no different. When clicking the hidden objects (which are actually hidden and somewhat hard to find at times), they make a nice noise when fading away. Some of the puzzles are a bit tricky and there is no skip button so you must use your brain which I like. There are tabs on them to get subtle hints but you must work them out on your own.
This is an older game so it is just finding objects in lists and then playing a mini game. I happen to like games like this once in a while so i enjoyed playing it and I liked the creativity. Also the graphics are pretty good for how old this game is. For example the areas you search look photo quality. Here's hoping Youda comes back with some new games, I forgot how much I liked them until I played this.
I recommend this game!

This is an oldie but goodie and has been in my collection for years but I never got around to actually playing it all the way through until now. Well almost all the way through.
This is a farm themed hidden object scene, puzzle game that has A LOT of variety therefore it doesn't get boring even though you are repeating a lot of the same mundane tasks. So basically you grow food to sell in the market then play mini games to help out the neighbors and make sure your farm is running efficiently. The mini games are memory cards, minesweeper, pipe water connectors, Sudoku and some others I can't recall at this moment. At first they are fun and they do get harder as time goes on but they also become boring playing the same 6 mini games over and over again. Luckily you can skip any mini game you don't feel like playing without waiting for the skip button to load. The downside of that is that you have to use your coins to skip puzzles BUT I always had more than enough and if you need more you can do the hidden object scenes with quests inside them to earn more. You are also given items to find (quests) that help you earn more money and get in good with the townspeople.
You win the game when you have updated all the buildings but you can go back and continue to play until you get all the quests. This game took me a long time (a week if not longer) to finish because there is so much content and even though I upgraded all the buildings, there are still quests for me to complete but I feel like I have played as much as I want to.
However, I overall enjoyed playing this game as its a great time killer. It kept me busy for days and I am happy I have the sequel to play as well. I can only hope they made the sequel a bit less repetitive but otherwise a flawless, fun, decorating game.
I recommend this game!

Anyone who plays this needs to remember when this was released. It was around 2011 and back then Collector's Editions were just then becoming a thing. When this game came out there was nothing else like it and back then people liked more hidden object scenes than adventure. I remember playing this game and LOVING it. It was so different compared to the other games out there and the graphics, sound effects and game play were amazing. So I decided to replay it now and even though it didn't have that same original flair it did back then, it is still a great game.
When Elephant games released this, there were no other games that had you play a hidden object scene only ONCE. So even though there are a lot of hidden object scenes in this game, they are all in different locations. Another thing is that the mini games are quite challenging. Some are easy but there is a level of difficulty in this game that you just do not see in games today and that makes it such a treat to replay. Keep in mind though that there are not voice overs, maps or a lot of extras because back then those things had not been put into games yet. There are achievements in this game though and they are even in the standard edition yet you cannot get all of them because some are only available in the CE.
This is a long game and a fun one. I love the sounds the objects make when you find them. The graphics are outstanding and the music builds up when things are about to get real good or scary. Its like watching a movie yet you are in control of it. I highly recommend this game because it takes me back to a time when these games were truly unique and they didn't seem cookie cutter. I enjoyed all the creative features that went into this game. My favorite hidden object scene is the one where you need to find a net and back then something like that was unheard of so kudos to elephant for getting on the map with this game and still being around and releasing new games. Kudos.
I recommend this game!

I played this game on my iPhone and I absolutely LOVED it. On a PC I am not sure how much I would have though. What made it fun on a phone was the notifications. You help Taylor by giving him advice, he goes on to do tasks and then he is "busy". On a phone you are not going to be playing this game 24/7 like on a computer so you close the game, Taylor does his tasks and then sometime later sometimes a few minutes, other times hours, a message will be sent to you to let you know Taylor is back and the game continues again.
Moreover this isn't just a great game BUT its a great story like choose your own adventure type story. I am a big reader and deciding the fate of the main character was fun for me. I did kill him a couple times and once you go through that part, the game rewinds and you can choose to which part it goes to. You can go all the way back to the beginning or you can go to a part of your choosing. This type of game made me so immersed in the hero Taylor that I felt like I knew him. I wanted to make this disaster easier for him and help him through it. Like there was someone out there that really needed me and only I could help him. I can't remember the last time I had towards of emotional connection towards a game, if ever.
I recommend playing this game on a phone if its possible. I think you will like the game more because that is its intended model. The games makes more sense that way, fitting into the palm of your hand not to mention I would never have paid $6.99 for it. What a rip off! I think its $1.99 on the phone. AND this game became so popular that there are even more games like this to buy. There is a mega-pack you can buy in app store and the ones I have played have been brilliant. Taylor even returns in one and needs more help.
IF you feel gaming has become a bit stagnant (I have) and if you need something new and like to read, I really recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

This will be a shorter review because I finished this game over a week ago and I don't remember enough game details to warrant a long review BUT I wanted to say what I thought of the overall game since it really WOWED me!
I can't say I am a fan of games like this. What I mean is the world is like a fairy tale with weird little creatures that talk and remind me of Alice in Wonderland. Half the time I find them absolutely cheesy or painstakingly boring BUT there are a few every now and again I find absolutely charming (like Alice In Wonderland) and this game is one of them! I was not expecting to adore this game the way I did while playing it nor did I expect a week or so later to still remember how I felt while playing. This game relaxed me and with all the stress in my life right now, it was awesome.
When I downloaded this, I thought it was part of the Tiny Tales TM games so how surprised was I to realize it was a hidden object game. However I have only seen these developers on a few other projects and I HAVE loved all their other games. (drawing a blank right now to what ones they are but I promise you, they are awesome)
This is a game to get immersed in because everything you touch moves or has some kind of added magic to it that the developers didn't have to put but they did for the gamer's pleasure. It held my interest throughout the entire game and bonus chapter! (and I rarely make it through bonus chapters or even play them! so when I speak highly of one, its great!). I think this game is amazing and I would love this developer to make more.
I recommend this game!
