This could have been interesting as New York, and especially the Statue of Liberty, are great topics with lots of potential story telling, but the makers of this game need to learn how to make a computer game first! The cursor lags and cannot be changed to system cursor. There is no option on difficulty settings, and even though I cancelled the tutorial I was still led around by the hand. The HO scenes are really badly done and things are not translated correctly (I hate that). I only tried one puzzle which was very frustrating and it took me a while to discover that the unlabelled green bar at the top was the skip button. No map that I found, but then I could only stand to play for about 15 minutes, so who knows. Sorry, but this is just not up to today's standards!

The developers should have started with this one, then made the building game, instead of the other way round. Although the graphics are great, the play is disappointing. It is much more fun to build than move from one area to another. I do like the events that occur, and the play fields are fun, when there are ice and stone blocks...however...I can't stand any game where things keep coming back...and when they introduced those spaghetti faced things that keep reproducing that was it for me! Alas... They should have made the emperor expand his realm with more buildings and new territories. It would have been much more fun. The accomplishments are good and will keep a person going back to this game. I just hope they are all achievable as the first game had an unattainable one. As always, give it a try..but sorry from me..

This is the most adorable solitaire game I have ever seen! It is a straight up and down card game, so nothing new there, but the dialogue is brilliant...really witty. I love the voices as well, especially the llama farmer's! You are trying to solve an old case and the genre is '30s style Mickey Spillane only with a humerous twist. You really shouldn't skip the dialogue, it's well worth the time. You can buy wild cards in the form of bullets, and you can also purchase some other helpful items...I didn't see the tiny emblem on the bottom of the screen, so I amassed a lot of money before I realized I could buy things. (Ok..I skipped the tutorial) The music is cute and the sound effects also add to the overall enjoyment. Really loved this one!
I recommend this game!

Honestly, I am tired of witches! I couldn't even make it through the demo on this one. Each room you enter has a long scene with the evil gnome guy and then an encounter with some kind of witch or evil goddess. You have to spend WAY too much time watching and listening to the exposition.
Also, in the first few minutes you have to deal with a honkin' great snake in the hallway AND a lady with snakes in her hair...too much!
The HO scenes are slightly interactive and there is a transporting map and morphing objects, which are all nice, of course, but just not enough to move along the dragging story and slow play. All the actions so far have been fairly predictable, unfortunately.
Sorry, but I don't like it, but those who like witch stories might enjoy it.

Sorry, but this is a total drag...literally. The cursor lag is very frustrating and the matches are made so slowly, that the whole thing has a dragging feel to it. It is somewhat timed, although I did not play to the end of the demo, so I do not know if it gets more challenging, but at the beginning the timer allows for a ton of time. However, if it does get more rushed, the slow movement of the pieces will definitely affect the play. The graphics are cute and bright, and the dialogue is fairly cute, with your helper making a few wisecracks now and then. The mini games to get the blueprints for the buildings are either ridiculously easy or seemingly impossible (such as the sliding puzzle thing...couldn't get it to work)...so I don't know what's going on there. There didn't seem to be any difference between levels at the beginning. There are chains and rocks and double coloured squares; the same as in most M3 games....nothing new. And I couldn't seem to find a way to turn off the tutorial, which is also annoying. Overall, I can't see playing this game for very long, as it becomes monotonous fairly quickly, but as usual give it a try, you might be able to overlook the draginess of it.

What a cute game! The story is hilarious and the graphics are excellent....so cute. All right, it's not that challenging, but it's so entertaining, and great for a relaxing break. The basic premise is that the horrible hag-like witch is sick of all the glamor girl princesses snagging the available princes, and she decides to turn them into frogs in the off chance that one will marry her if he kisses her. The beginning scene, where she attempts to get the frog to kiss her is hilarious....giant lips getting ever closer to the frog, and he in turn opting for a life of frogness, cracked me right up...also, I love the voices and the sounds that the frogs make. The mini games are cute and not too difficult...loved the revolving match game! There doesn't seem to be a map, but then I'm not sure you really need one, as you seem to go where you are sent, without very much deviation. I think the whole thing was created as a social comment and a comedy....it's brilliant! You've got to try it!!

Wow..this is better than some of the CEs we've had lately. The opening film of explorers trying to make it to the frozen north is totally excellent! I really liked the story and I watched each segment, which I do not usually do. The graphics are simple, yet strangely appealing...lots of snow and ice and each setting has a lot of nooks and crannies to explore. The game play is good so far (I have only played the demo, so far); the HOs are interactive. The biggest surprise was all of the extras such as morphing objects, relics to find, and coins with which you can buy things for your penguin and his igloo. Very cute! Also, the switch from the HO mode to the jigsaw puzzle mode is really good. Usually, these options are disappointing, but the puzzle was almost as much fun as the HO. There is a map, although I forgot to look at it before my time ran out, so no comment there. The mini games were good and not too frustratingly difficult. Some of them are quite small, which adds a little challenge. All in all, an excellent buy and a lot of fun!
I am sorry to disagree with the majority here, but I didn't like this at all. The story is unpleasant and leaves one wondering why the father of the hero didn't do away with random people, instead of 6 wives! Sheesh...what?? ..no one was suspicious at the time? Also, why did the Aunt wait until the last minute to fill her nephew in..."Oh, by the way, sonny...you're gonna die soon. See ya later." ...okaaay. On to the graphics...I really dislike bad comic book style art work. Some of the drawings in the action parts were really beautiful, but all the exposition segments were in really cheap cartoon mode. Then the play value: nothing worked. I solved the mini games, but the game wouldn't acknowledge that fact, so I would have to skip, only to have the same solution given to me as I had come up with. Also, each scene took too long to load and the cursor was cumbersome and slow. The map didn't seem to be a transporter and the HO scenes had nothing interactive in them and everything is quite small. All in all, a miss for me...sorry.

Wow...these graphics are amazing! I was hooked when I saw the grass waving from the blast of the passing train! It's worth it, just to watch the animation. I love the entire game, though. The story is different, the HOs not all list types and interactive, and the mini games nice and not too difficult. There is more than one type of collectible, a transporting map and a fractured amulet to encounter along the way.(Although, I'm not sure what squirrels have to do with the story) The VOs are quite good....love the evil crow/person's voice. Even the heroine is not too whiny, which is a first. Looks to have a lot of places to visit on the map, so it should be a fair length. All in all...great fun!

The story and graphics of this M3 game are both adorable. I love the black and white 'old film' cartoon preamble and I thought this was going to be an enjoyable and fun game, but in chapter 2 darn big bugs come into play....NOT fun. I hate anything where something undoes your progress and this is no exception. The bugs rest on tiles you have broken, and reverse their status. The pace of the bug's arrivals increase, of course, as you go along. Until then, I was really enjoying the untimed play and the building aspect...nice and relaxing, with little twists in between tile screens...but as soon as the bugs got out of control, I deleted the whole thing...darn it! I, too, will stick with Imperial Island!
