To be fair, this is more than your usual toss the colored ball into a stream of various colored balls until you make a match of 3 or more and they explode. It's more because there's more going on.
In addition to the conveyor belt of colored balls, there are groups of stationery various colored balls. Try to eliminate these by shooting like colored balls at them. Try to eliminate them as soon as possible because it seems when they're all gone, it affects your game play exponentially. Could be worng but it seemed that way to me. Guess you'll have to play to find out.
Also, there will be gears (machine parts) that come tumbling down from above and your additional goal is to get as many of them as possible.
Bonus level is difficult to explain. Again, try the game and find out.
This game gave me a splitting headache. I don't know if it was the flashing lights, poor color usage, robotic music or combination of all of the above. But, I breathed a sigh of relief when the game was over. Ah, did I mention it was really boring?
Happy Gaming!
I recommend this game!

The best parts of this game for me were not all the HOGs (hidden object games), but the mini games (loved them), taking pictures of the family (YAY) and excitement of the family.
The graphics were okay - comic book quality but that's ok with me. Sound was not too bad - had to turn it down anyway because puppy sleeping by the computer. Some of the sound effects were a little too loud (again, sleeping puppy).
The hint button (a taxi van) did take a bit to recharge but that was ok by me as well. The honking noise it made when ready was a trifle bit annoying.
Unfortunately, I fell asleep during the game so did not get the FULL experience of the demo. But, it's on the daily special sale FOR THE DAY ONLY! So, I have a few hours left to get off the fence I'm on the fence about the purchase.
I do recommend this game for beginner - expert. The HOGs are just that much fun and definitely challenging.
Happy Gaming!

I've just finished my marathon of Mystery P.I. demos. Some were pretty good, some were great, some were ok and there was one total dud.
I realize it's just a game but it appeared to me that in most of the other versions, the developers tried to stay true to the environment. I don't think they went to the same Vegas I spent 3 years' worth of vacations at - with and without little children. Vegas just isn't that dark and dreary as in most of the locations in t his game, even at night. So much for the graphics.
As for sound. Music and sound effects bordered, teetered the fence actually, on the ridiculous and the, well, still ridiculously pulsating noise. Where did they come up with THAT as a background music score for LV? And LV is not one long headache-inducing sound of slots after the other. A minute into the game and that had to be turned OFF!
As for the game play. These games are strictly HOGs (hidden object games). You are given "x" number of locations in a level to go an investigate. In addition to the 10 items you need to find, you may choose to find (in each location, not level) a key, a poker chip and a fingerprint. If you find all 25 keys and poker chips, you unlock unlimited seek and find games. Does that mean "unlimited" like forever? Because I can do that using the subscriptions to my favs that come every month. So, not impressed. If you find all 25 fingerprints, you get an additional 1 million bonus points. Oh, joy.
The HOG areas were so dark and dreary, so encumbered with what appeared to be many hundreds of objects that to find your measly little 10 items you HAVE to resort to point and click because to try to find them by looking at everything would surely induce a headache (I got a migraine).
The mini games were easy but fun and the games' only saving grace.
Needless to say, I was not impressed with anything about this version of the game and will not be purchasing it. However, have a blast. Maybe it's the only way you'll get to experience Las Vegas. If so, my sympathies.
Happy Gaming!
I recommend this game!

Now, there's actually a LOT about this game I don't get. What is there about it I DID get? Um, let me think ... oh yeah ... nothing.
There is NO tutorial or in game "hints" to teach you how to play the game and why you're doing what you're doing.
After entering your name (or alias, if you will) into the profile, you're asked to pick your character ..... one of a multitude of colored blocks. I chose my favorite color, a mix of pink and purple. Why? It never showed up anywhere so what exactly was the purpose behind this?
There was NO indication given if I was to match 3, make groups, what? No, I had to figure out for myself that you break these blocks (that are animated - very animated, too animated if you ask me) in groups and you're ostensibly trying to clear them all away. There are colored bombs to use but they have to be together side by side, on top of each other, whatever, just together. You have 3 opportunities to "shuffle" these blocks but beware, there are 3 different directional buttons that they will go in and stack in depending on which button you choose. You have to clear 95% of the blocks to move on to the next level. Please try to get 100% because if you don't, the remaining blocks WILL and DO cry ... tears. See? Too animated.
The bonus level (yay, I made it to a bonus level) still makes no sense to me. I thought had to clear the board of 30 gazillion million trillion blocks (ok, not really that many but it looked like it) but when I started clearing away - MORE blocks showed up. So, what's up?
I thought if I played the original version of the game maybe I'd "get" it but, guess what? There is no other version of the game I could find on BF. Has it been that long or was it that unpopular? Forgive me if you found it or played it. My apologies.
So, you see, there is nothing about this game that has any adoring qualities to me. Not a purchase. Not even a second thought as I lay my little bitty head down to sleep tonight. Nada. Oh, did that count as a second thought? Nuts!
Play it, try it, analyze it, do whatever you want with it. Just don't buy it without playing it first.
Happy Gaming!

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I just want to say - awful - 'nuf said. But, I know there are people who do read these reviews and do make their decisions whether to try or buy it on what they read. So, to be fair to those individuals, I'll give it a go.
Before I start to play the CE version of a game, I check out the extras, which can take about 10 minutes of so if I'm thorough. That being said, I finished this demo with 31 minutes to spare. Add the 10 minutes of poking around and you have it finished in actually 41 minutes to spare. So, how long can this game really be?
Also, I take copious notes to be entered into my review. I am including this because of all the notes I took, I don't feel any are pertinent to the story. The story is too simple. Two boys find an artifact, a skull. One is jealous of the other so he hits him over the head with the skull. Skull "tells" the boy who has it to do something evil (like more evil than hitting your best friend over the head with it?). Boys grow up, one becomes the minion of an evil god, the other becomes your All-American Coast Guard good guy. Bad guy turns good guy into a jaguar. Not too hard to figure out the rest.
Graphics. Sigh. I was so impressed ..... and then there it was .... the hated purples and blues and greens that are sooo pronounced they can hurt your eyes and do nothing for the scenery. Loved the jaguars, though, as I have a fondness for all wild animals (lions, cheetahs, etc.). Sound (what sound?). It occurred to me a little while into the game that there wasn't any music to speak of. A definite "hmmm" moment. Sound effects were few and far between. Mostly growling jaguars. Lip syncing vs. voice overs which is always a plus.
HOGs weren't difficult to do. I did not find the items at all hard to find. They were somewhat interactive. Itemized and silhouette. Maybe it was me, but I found the mini games terribly difficult and I always play the demo on Casual to get a better feel for the game. There seemed to be little instruction given or the instructions made no sense.
4 levels of difficult - casual, hard, expert and custom. A diary which contains notes although any clues I needed ended up in my inventory so I found the diary redundant and useless. An interactive map that couldn't have been more of a hand-holder. Shows where you are and where something needs to be done. At MOST, there will be 2 open locations so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what to do and where to do it.
CE Bling. Not even going to list it. Has the usual items you get in every CE game including strategy guide and bonus game, collect morphing objects and totems (which can be an actual totem or a mask, etc.) which you MUST click on and it turns into a hummingbird which flies around and you MUST click on IT (the hummingbird) to get credit for finding the totem. A Mayan Calendar but I'm not quite sure of it's value to the game.
As I was playing the game, I was so disappointed because I wanted so desperately to like it, not even love it, just like it enough to want to purchase it. But, even the CE offerings aren't enough to tempt me. I could even tell you the exact moment when the demo was going to end. THAT'S pretty bad. And, I was neither surprised nor heartbroken when it did end.
Obviously, this game is not a purchase for me. I would recommend it highly for beginners into the Hidden Object genre of games but for experts (I'm Intermediate), I think you should avoid it. I'm not even sure recommending it, really recommending it would allow me to sleep better at night knowing I may have led someone to waste a good hour or so of their time. Yeah, I'm just that weird.
Decide on your own after what you've read. Just keep in mind that there are some reviewers who ALWAYS give top grades to EVERY game to see their name in lights, so to speak. I always skip right over their reviews because I don't think they are truly a fair assessment of the game. I mean, seriously, EVERY game a 5 star? Give me a break.
Happy Gaming!
I don't recommend this game.

That is indeed the question. Because by the title and game description we are led to believe we are going exploring for an ancient artifact - the last "piece of silver" given to Judas for ... well ... you know the story. Not sure if it's politically correct to mention it on here.
The graphics were definitely like reading a comic book - and an old one at that. No lip syncing or voice overs. The background music was a bit annoying and I had to turn it down. The game DOES advise you to go into "options" and increase your brightness. I recommend you do just that.
I had problems almost immediately upon playing the game. I was on "full screen" but it didn't take up my full screen and when I tried "windowed" it was even smaller. So "full screen" ahead! Not funny. Get it. I'm not feeling very funny after playing this either.
There was a location where I had to locate a number of floral decorations. These little "find x number of whatever" were actually pretty fun. Until the floral decoration location. Then, after using 2 hints (you only get 4 for the ENTIRE game) I finally located the last floral decoration. It was, and still is, outside the perimeters of my screen availability. Hence, game finished for me.
I would have liked to have finished this game because I was brought up on this story and would have liked to see how the loss of 1 silver piece changed, or was going to change, world history. So, needless to say, this will not be a purchase for me (boo hoo) but I recommend everyone to give it a try. The demo is free and it's only an hour long.
Happy Gaming!

Yes, this is a simple, ordinary match 3 game .... and it makes no sense whatsoever.
There are no bonuses that I could tell for matching 4 or more of like colors. There IS a leader board to the right of the game board that tells you what, and how many, colors you need to POP off the screen. It starts at 3 on Level 1 and increases by 1 more each time you level up. So, Level 1 you need to POP 3 of each color. Level 2, 4 of each color and so on.
Both game modes are timed and the time goes very, very, very quickly. There is no tutorial or "hints" that go along with you as you play.
I wonder why some of the smileys actually smile and some don't. Nothing is explained and, really, that would have been nice.
I play a lot of match 3 games. Own a few. But, this game was a true dud for me and, therefore, I will not be purchasing it. The only reason I am even recommending it is because I want everyone to give it a try. I'll be stopping by periodically to read your reviews and see how you liked it.
Happy Gaming!

First of all, this is a match 3 game. You earn bonuses by matching 4 or more and you can move items diagonally to make a match. Make sure you watch the meter to the left of the game board because all 3 (food, wood, milk, etc.) needs to be filled to the top and green or else the kittens will be unhappy.
Every level you pass, another little kitten is "rescued" from the aliens. Each kitten has a name and you can click on it to get it's entire dossier.
With the coins you earn, you can go to the shop and purchase decorations and toys to keep your kittens happy. During the game, sometimes you will have the opportunity to match 3 gift packages (and only 3 in the entire level) and your kitten sanctuary will receive something special (a trampoline, a scratching post and much more).
This game has a LOT to offer. I think it has too much. You have the match 3 game, during which you have to watch the food, etc. meters and periodically match gifts, diamonds or other things to keep those kittens happy. Also, periodically, you will encounter a bonus round where you need to keep matching quickly so the items don''t reach the top of the game board. If you win the level, you gain nothing. If you lose the level, well, poor little kittens and shame on you.
Along with the "too much going on" scenario apart from the game itself, you have to visit your sanctuary and play with the kittens using all the nice toys you have to remember to go to the shop and purchase. If you don't ... you guessed it ... your kittens will be unhappy.
Sometimes, you will even get a notice that one or a few of your kittens had a bad experience, a bad day, something went wrong and you have to visit the sanctuary and make all right with the world. Otherwise, again, you guessed it, the kittens will be unhappy.
So, because there is just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much to do (and I probably missed a few things), this is not going to be a purchase for me. But, anyone who loves cats, kittens and match 3 games that have never-ending things to do should give this game a try.
Happy Gaming!
I recommend this game!

An old sailor tells someone while at sea that they have aboard the 8th wonder of the world - The Golden Sarcophagus that belongs to the Time Lord (not Dr. Who gang - sorry). A storm, ship runs aground before leaving the island waters - OH NO! The sarcophagus has disappeared. 10 years later and YOU are destined to find the 4 Eagles, place them on the Sarcophagus and save time - and the world!
As usual for this developer, the graphics are amazing. Lip-syncing characters throughout the game, beautiful background music that touches on crescendos when appropriate and perfect sound effects.
New buildings show up out of nowhere, Lenin is resurrected, havoc is being reaped all over the world! You go to the island, another storm erupts, there are phantom hands on your windshield, of course you get shipwrecked as well. And then, you meet your grandparents -- yep, your very own, very young, grandparents. Wow, that would totally freak me out. In all the shock, joy, wonder, don't forget about finding those 4 Eagles.
HOGs are pretty standard. You can play a match 3 game instead as an alternative. Mini Games that I played were relatively easy.
There are 4 levels of difficulty, including "custom". The hint and skip button can be manipulated in "custom" mode. You are equipped with a cell phone that contains Tasks, Notes (and clues, very important to read this constantly), a GPS map that you have to get working before you can use it, and videos/pictures of cutscenes.
This game seems pretty straightforward. The storyline flowed well, there was consistency in the game play. I'm still a bit on the fence but I DO encourage everyone to enjoy the amazing 90 minutes of game time and it's free to try.
Happy Gaming!

I discovered my first Mystery P.I. game a few days ago. Since then, I have been on a Mystery P.I. game marathon finding games I liked, wanted to purchase and just was on the fence about. I think this is the first and only version of the game that I truly dislike, will not recommend and lasted only 15 into game time of the free demo.
What I like about the game. Hmmmmm, let me think a minute .... oh yeah, nothing.
What I disliked about the game. Yeah, this might take a while so I'll try to hit on just the high points.
The game would not fill my screen. Regardless of how I fiddled with the "options", etc., I could not get it to fill my screen and THAT was a huge distraction from actually playing the game. There were sooooooooooooooo many more objects in the scenes where I had to find my very limited 10 items that it would have taken a tremendous amount of time in each location to find them. And, let's face it, it's a free demo for an hour - not a whole lot of time to be spending on looking around.
Let's talk about game play for a while. You are given "x" number of locations in each level to investigate. In each location, there is a list of 10 items you must find to move on. Also in each location, IF you want to unlock a bonus game, you need to find a key and a peace sign. As in the other versions of Mystery P.I., except for one I found, you CANNOT go back into a location to look for said key/peace sign if you couldn't find it. My way around this was to leave one item on the list of 10 "unfound" so that location remains "open" in case you want to go back and have a gander. There is also a "mystery" conducive to the city you're in that is located in each location and if you find all of these you get a huge point bonus - oh yay. I didn't find out what that "mystery" item is - hence the mystery of it. Also, at the end of each level, you get to play a mini game which consists of puzzles, match 3 and much more. I LOVE those mini games but not enough to get me to like this version of the game any more than I do - do not. I do not like it. There, we're clear on that, right?
Another thing I dislike about ALL the versions of this game is that there is an icon for the key and (in this case) the peace sign so when you've found it/them, you can easily tell by the change in color. ALSO, there is a huge key and a huge peace sign that shows the tally underneath each (for instance, 3 of 25). So, if you're in location 4 and the tally shows only 3 keys found, you know you have to find one more. However, the magical mystery item??? No indication what it is, how many you found, if you need to find one. Nothing, nada, zip.
So, for all of the above reasons, this version of the game is definitely not a purchase for me. I will, however, recommend it for those who like HOGs, mini games and a bit of sleuthing.
Happy Gaming!
I recommend this game!
