It was just an ok game to me, not too exciting. Don't know that it is really worthy of a CE price either. You earn some achievements and collect tea pots and the HOS are a little boring. Mini games are ok and somewhat challenging and the storyline is alright, at least a little different than what you usually see. It has a good interactive map that takes you to the different scenes but for me, this was still just an ok game.
This was supposed to be the happiest day of your life. But instead of walking down the aisle, you're in another dimension, battling a mad inventor to save your family!
I did enjoy playing this game but it wasn't exactly outstanding. Graphics were good although the cut scenes were a little blurry. As far as CE qualities go, it did offer plenty of achievements, collecting little "eyeball guys" called observers of which there were 164 to collect which is more than I've ever seen of "collector items" and you get a dragonfly which eliminates toxic fumes. The HOS were good and somewhat interactive with a choice to switch over to match 3 game. Puzzles were not too difficult but a little fun to play. Storyline was alright.
Hats off once again to Blue Tea Games! The graphics are outstanding as usual, sound effects and background music are perfect to the story and this game holds your interest. HOS is challenging enough and the mini games are fun. I love to see morphing cursed objects and in this game you collect 20 of them. There are achievements to be earned and the cut scenes are done very well. It has an interactive map to jump around from scene to scene. This one will definitely be on my list of CE's to purchase when there is a good sale!
Even though this may not be among the best games I've played, it is good enough to be worthy of a CE price. The graphics are good but not outstanding, HO scenes are very clear but typical interactive but you also can choose to play a match 3 game instead, puzzles are very easy and there is a very good interactive map. You collect animals that help you with the first animal changing things you give it into useful items. You also collect pet coins that you can use to buy your animal things. You have a lot to do to keep you busy and the storyline is somewhat interesting as well. Voice overs are good with great background music and sounds. Overall, I have to give this game 4 stars just because it's not one of the more outstanding games I've played but is well done.
To save your father from a hideous monster, you've decided to sacrifice your own freedom. Now you must journey through a strange and magical land before time runs out!
As always, this developer does a great job with the graphics, very appealing to the eye but with the expected game mechanics. There wasn't particularly anything about this game that awed me or even surprised me, no new twists but still a good game to play, definitely better than most. You collect birds, HOS are typical but with the option of a match 3 game which is always good to have, puzzles are pretty easy and there are achievements to earn, so for a CE, it seems to have most everything you can expect. Not sure at this point that I want to pay the CE price so may wait until a sale comes along.
This was a relaxing game to play with a peaceful musical background. Graphics were very detailed and well done. Nothing great but all good. You collect stone coins and there are quite a few achievements to earn so those two things are always a plus in any game. The mini games aren't too difficult but good to play. Nothing just absolutely grabbed me as far as the play of this game goes but would still be a good buy.
Starting out I wasn't so sure this was going to even be a good game, much less a great game! It seemed the graphics got better as I went but there were truly some "genius" ways that the game was developed such as an HOS that had keys you had to find in order to unlock the boxes below which then revealed the item names to find plus the scene was interactive. Another great thing was when you opened a book and in order to have the story told, you had to find two objects at a time on each page that were illuminated up in the corner of the book.....how different on both of these HO scenes! I loved the door with 2 faces that in order to open them, you had to pick which one had the right answer after going to a location to count how many particular items there were to see which face had the correct number. The storyline seems to be pretty mysterious involving a baby. This game definitely holds your interest and is very engaging. The mini games are good but not too difficult and some are unique. You collect roses and there are some achievements along with an interactive map and there is not only a "bonus chapter" but "hidden chapters" as well so I look forward to seeing what that's all about. Overall, I believe this could be CE worthy!
This is another good game for this collection of the Otherworld series and fun to play but it didn't exactly excite me too much just because it is so much like the previous ones. There's not much to be critical of but I think I'm getting a little tired of the continuing same 'ol, same 'ol. Just how many "shades" are they going to come up with? Anyway, as usual the game has great graphics, the voice overs are good but a little annoying, mini games are easy, you do collect "fay dragons" which are easy to spot and you do get some achievements along the way. You most definitely have to enjoy the "fairytale" theme to get into this game but it's good enough to recommend playing. If you want to really be challenged, this might not be the game for you. It's a little on the slow, almost boring side.
I recommend this game!

The Torment of Mont Triste Collector's Edition
No one dares fall asleep in the village of Mont Triste... for when sleep arrives, so does the mysterious Lord of Nightmares.
This game was a little different in some ways. It had a unique storyline with there being a danger in falling asleep or else the "Lord of Nightmares" would give you a nightmare you couldn't awaken from. Of course that's where your job as a detective comes in to use the amulet of dreams you're given to rescue those that are trapped in their nightmares. The HO scenes were very clear and typical but good. I particularly liked one of the HOS that exploded into weightlessness so everything began to float, kind of cool and different. The mini games were very challenging. In this CE you collect goblins and get an ice butterfly to use occasionally. There are just a few achievements to earn. As a whole, I think this was a beautifully done game and fun to play.
If this "Haunted Hotel" is related to the previous Haunted Hotel games then it's really different from those. This was a good and interesting one. I would have liked to have had more things to collect but you do collect paintings which are kind of cool about different people that you see morph from being a normal looking person to whatever they really are such as a vampire or witchdoctor. You also get a "flutterfire" butterfly which helps you light things and retrieve hot things. You uncover tarot cards but can't be taken until you get the magic cloth so that was something added in for an extra thing to do and look out for. The mini games are good and pretty easy. HOS's are good and interactive. You have an interactive map to jump from place to place and letting you know where there are tasks to be done. I liked everything about this game from the cutscenes to the beautiful graphics that Elephant Games is great for. Not the most outstanding game I've played but worthy of being called a CE.
