Very good game! As you've already read in previous reviews to this one, there are several attractive values to this particular game with more to find and more to do. You really have to put on your thinking cap with this one to figure out what to do throughout the game and the HOS are even a bit challenging. Not one to get bored with, that's for sure. There's enough adventure in just the trial to wet your appetite to want more. Just the mystery of the Mayan culture has always been enough to peak most people's interest anyway. So that in itself brings more curiosity to the game. I believe this would be a good buy!
I think what I enjoyed most about the aesthetics of the game was the "summer camp woodsy" theme. The cursor was a piece of bark and everything from there was detailed to fit the campy effect which was definitely unique from other games. The overall effect was "creepy" which I like and you never knew when the "trees" were going to attack! The HO scenes were good, adventure was good and the mini games were tough but good. Glad there were achievement awards given which is always fun to get. Good game and highly recommend it!
Prepare for a mind-bending journey into the realm of the weird in Haunted Halls: Revenge of Dr. Blackmore! Brace yourself for the unexpected in this exciting Hidden Object adventure!
This is another great sequel of the Haunted Halls series. I've only played the demo but so far it hasn't disappointed me. All of the Haunted Halls games have been graphically beautiful along with good background music and voice overs. A very realistic game to play that makes you feel as if you are really involved. A unique thing is introduced in this game like the portable lab to concoct various potions you need to use and the HO scenes were fun to do by finding the items by the silhouettes but then also using them in the scene. This feature I have seen before but has not been used alot in the various HO games. The puzzles have not been too difficult but a little different and a little challenging. I think I'll enjoy playing the whole game soon!
This was a very enjoyable game to play. The graphics were beautiful, the music fit perfectly and not too intrusive and just enough adventure to keep things interesting. I liked how the HOS's were mostly by association in pairing things up. Unless I missed it, I didn't notice any "extras", like things to collect or achievements of any kind but the game itself was entertaining enough. I really liked the theme of the game about Houdini with some magic and mystery so that's what first got my attention. Good job developers!
As I began to play this game, I realized that I've played it before so did BF re-introduce it or what? Even so, I remember the game was pretty good for a SE but I just don't like to see one brought back around as if it's new. Maybe I played it a long time ago on Wildgames but I did enjoy the "creepiness" of it so it's a good one to play as we're getting closer to halloween.
I loved everything about this game. I own all of the previous Dark Parable series and have always enjoyed each one of them. The graphics, as usual, are great and the music and voice overs go well with all. The HO scenes are fragmented which I don't mind too much once in awhile but wouldn't want all HO scenes to be that way. The mini games are very cute and fun to play. I've always loved to find morphed objects which you still get to do in this series so yea for that! I only played the demo but just from what I can see, it's going to be a great game. You are also able to find objects that give you the ability to read a parable and there are several of them. Lots to do and I love that!
The one main adjective I could come up with on this continuation of the Margrave games was Interesting. There were so many "interesting" things about this one, from the opening with "singing" which is not your par for the course way games typically open, to the storyline being rather interesting about cyclops. I didn't care too much for the amount of voice overs the girl had throughout the demo but at least the graphics were beautiful and there was a good balance between adventure and HO scenes. The HO scenes were a bit difficult to find certain objects and some of the puzzles could be a little difficult playing in expert mode. All in all, the game was pretty good but not so sure that it's good enough to pay for the CE price.
I loved everything about this game. I felt like the storyline was better than the other anomaly games. As usual, the graphics and cutscenes were great and music along with voiceovers were done well. Not overdone with the HOS but just enough to be interesting. I played advanced as I usually do and it wasn't too difficult although the "light" mini game took some time and it took a little while for me to figure out the "picture outline" mini game. I had not seen one quite like this one before. You collect records along the way which I always enjoy those little extras like that. It's a definite "thumbs up" for me!
This game was just ok.....not bad but not great either. There was enough to find and things to do to keep you somewhat interested but I wasn't enamored enough to want to buy it. I do like getting achievement awards which it had and looking for extra things like, in this case, was the eye of horus, so that helped in how much I liked the game. I would only recommend playing it if you're looking for something to do but otherwise, probably not.
Follow orphan Eva on a trip to mystical Prague. Will she find out about her Royal origins, find real love, and save the world from a monster? It’s all up to you.
This game was just ok, nothing great, but then when you compare it to some of the recent games we've played, it doesn't quite match up. It was more on the boring side than anything. Good to play if you have nothing else to do.
