Let me start off by saying that the Enigmatis series is probably my favorite of all the game series. I love the on going storyline of the detective and the Preacher. Needless to say, I was out-of-my-mind happy when this was finally released. I bought it right away and played it to the end. Let's start with the good: The action packed beginning was awesome! I love games that give you a sense of urgency... like if you don't do something FAST, the mission is over before it starts. The graphics and voice overs were wonderful and added so much to the storyline. The HOPs and Mini Games were just the right level of difficulty for me. There were some Mini Games that were different from the basic ones, which was a nice change. Now for the (sort of) bad: After playing the first two games, I had trouble with the storyline. Tibet? Really? Why was a Christian-based demon/angel story finished in Tibet? Yes, there are Christians in that area of the world, but all the graphic elements were of Buddist images. Yes, Tibet (or rather the mountain regions of that part of the world) is exotic and made for lovely graphics, but it just didn't work for me. Why not set it in Roman or maybe Russia? It just bothered me throughout the whole game. Next were the morphs/feathers/flowers. I got all the flowers, most of the feathers, but I just couldn't see those darn morphing "clouds". I REALLY tried! I don't like using the guide for extras, but even with the guide I could see most of them! Maybe I'll play the game a second time and try harder. Lastly, Rick deserved the kill... just saying. He was cheated. Overall, I was glad they finally released the end of the story, but I was overall underwhelmed by this shorter-than-usual game. It's still worth buying the CE.

This is the best game I've ever used a credit on! Super spooky, full on horror... that kid gives me the willies! I jumped several times during game play. Love "Hand"! Really clear, crisp graphics. Not super hard, heavy on HOP, but still challenging enough to keep you hanging onto every corner of the haunted house. It's also nice that it's a one credit game for a change, verses a CE. I liked the adjustable play mode which was very player-friendly. Just an all around great game! I would call it a poor man's version of "Bloody Mary". If you liked that one, you'll like this one too.
From the music, to the storyline, to the graphics... this was one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long time. This is a story-driven game that just moved along like a well acted movie. The graphics were incredible and if anyone can play the bonus game and not laugh at the "ramming" scene, well.. this isn't the game for you. Definitely worth the extra price for the CE! I loved "Nutcracker", I loved "Christmas Carol" and I can't wait to see what they come up with next Christmas!
I love Blue Tea games and a fan of fairy tale story lines, but this one sort of left me cold.
The Good: The graphics are incredible The voice over acting was wonderful The storyline was excellent You were allowed to go throughout the entire game world without being locked out as it progressed.
The Bad: Lag time waiting for puzzles to start and occasionally crashing. (I have a 64 bit gaming computer with excellent video cards). Music and sound effects became annoying at times. The puzzles were repetitious. Some of the items were found so far into the storyline that it was hard to remember where you needed to use them - sometimes as far back as the first scene.
I also wasn't impressed by the CE additional storyline. On one hand, it was nice to have a completely different story included, but it's association to the main story was very thin.
Overall, this was one of very few games that I couldn't wait to get done with. Reviews are just personal opinions, so please decide for yourself.
This game has it all! A great storyline, challenging HOs, puzzles that aren't so confusing you can't do them, scary elements, great voice-overs and a chipmunk! What more can you ask for? The CE is actually worth it (for a change). The extra chapter explains Mary's tale and picks up right at the end of the main game. The collectables are relatively easy to find and allow you to view a mini movie at your leisure. Honestly, I can't think of anything bad about this game. It's truly amazing. Congrats to the developers. Give this one a try for yourself.
Confront an ancient evil and uncover your true! After a startling revelation changes your world forever, you must embark on an epic journey to save mankind.
I was excited when I first started this game because the storyline takes place in India, which is an underused culture for games. Within 5 minutes of play, I was already disappointed. The HOs were dark and hard to see. The puzzles were hard to understand. To be honest, I skipped most of them. Although these was a helpful map that allowed you to get to a place fast, there was a lot of back and forth between scenes. The music and voice overs were pretty good and the storyline itself was interesting. I guess my main complaint is that it was hard to understand what I needed to accomplish. I wouldn't recommend this game for beginners, but expert players may enjoy it. I would consider myself am intermediate player.

I wasn't expecting anything other than a nice quiet HOG. What I got was an adventure! The graphics are amazing. The music was gorgeous and well planned to go with whatever scene was being played out. The voice overs were excellent. The action (YES, ACTION) was heart-pumping. The HOGs were different and challenging. The puzzles were different, but not so hard that I couldn't do them. There were extras to find, plus magic change items. Also some hidden stuff that I honestly didn't understand, but I managed to find a few of them. The CE is worth the extra because the storyline continues. Please don't hesitate to get this one!
The residents of Bitterford, Maine have fallen prey to a terrible curse. It’s up to you to unravel the series of mysterious events that led to the town’s downfall and uncover the evil that was responsible.
I'm a long time fan of MCS games, but on the whole - this was a disappointment. The graphics were great. Cinematography was excellent. Mood was creepy as expected. What really bothered me was the going back and forth. I kept forgetting what I was doing. Lea Thompson really chewed the scenery. Was she doing a William Shatner impression? So hammy, I thought I was eating Spam! As an FYI: There is a place called Biddeford, Maine and every time I saw the game spelling I wanted to scream because I lived very close to that town. Everyone would pronounce it Bitterford!
