If you love The Viking Brothers games, you'll love this one! Basically the same game with female heroes, this one focuses on an evil Sorceress who steals the men folk from the village (the Viking Brothers make an appearance) because she thinks they will look good as statues in her garden. The Viking Sisters aren't going to stand for that, so off they go, with the help of the Goddesses to stop this foolishness. The game comes in three modes (I'm a fan of the casual mode). The pace is fun and the graphics are colorful and well drawn. My only complaint are the puzzle pieces. I haven't quite figured out whether they are in every level (like most time management games) or if I just haven't noticed them in some of the levels. Doesn't really matter to me since I'll be playing this more than once. This one is fun with some challenging levels that make you use strategy to get around. Like I said, if you are a fan of The Viking Brothers series, you'll like this one too. Try the demo for yourself.
I beta tested this awhile back and couldn't wait to play the full game. I love the storyline and the little details in the artwork. My only complaint is the same one I said when I beta tested it.... PLEASE make it a long game. It's not, and that's why it didn't get 5 stars from me. The problem is, I enjoyed this game so much that I wanted MORE! The bonus game is a continuation of the main game, but they left it with a cliff hanger! Who is the mysterious man in the shadows?! Obviously the story will continue, but I would have preferred that the bonus would have been included in the regular game and the "mystery man" question solved in the bonus. Anyway, the storyline is unique (although a bit confusing at times), the game play is fun, the puzzles are different (yet doable) and the HOPS are interesting. I liked how they mixed big and small items in the HOPS. Sometimes I would be searching for something small and it was staring me in the face because it was huge! The morphs and keys were easy to find. I was disappointed with the Extras. I was hoping for a Super HOP, but there was only a small one. Who actually saves those screensavers/backgrounds with characters on them? Not me! Music? Nope. So the question remains, should I recommend this game. The answer is yes, BUT... the 3 most important things to remember are: 1) it's a short game, 2) the bonus is worth the CE price only because the ending of the game doesn't make sense without it and 3) Fluffy the cat. Okay, I just like cats so that last one is silly. As always, please try the demo and decide for yourself.
Based on the entire game: The first game of this series was a bit of a disappointment, but this one was a pleasant surprise! Sort of an Indiana Jones meets Princess Bride Adventure. I can't think of another game where the dialog is so much fun! There is even a "witty joke/smarty pants" button for added enjoyment. As for the game itself, the storyline is engaging, the puzzles clever (yet doable) and the HOPS are well hidden. The morphs and collectibles (which look like dresses to me!) are fairly easy to find. This is a long game even though it only has 3 chapters. The bonus game is a hoot and well worth the price of a CE. I certainly hope the developers use the two main characters again in a team-up again! As always, try the demo. You won't regret purchasing this one. This one should be short listed for Game of the Year!
Based on the demo: If you've been playing these games for as long as I have, you know we've played this same game many times over. Evil _____ (insert villain type) wants to take over the realm. Gets out of prison and goes on a rampage. This time its elves against humans. You are a healer and you use your healing ability to save the world. Ho Hum. We've seen this same diagnosis game before. The only difference this time they at least give you an option of doing a Match-3 game instead of trying to do the diagnosis. Domini has made a beautifully visual game with lots of color to dazzle your eyes, but they keep recycling the same storyline over and over again. They have other series, that are much better. The puzzles are dull and even the HOPS are only slightly less annoying. LOTS of puzzles back to back, so if you're a puzzle lover, you'll be a happy camper. There are a ton of collectibles: 15 cards, 15 morphs and 50 metal leaves. It's not a bad game, especially if you've never played this series before. As for me, I was bored and couldn't wait for the demo to be over. Maybe it was on off day for me, so as always, please try the demo and make your own decision. For me, this is a no buy. I'll wait for something with more to offer.

Based on the demo: When I first tried this game, the Big City Adventure series came to mind. No, it's not. There's no storyline, nor educational tidbits about each city. But, what you do get is a little different. Each European city can be played several times in different modes. There are 5 levels in which you can locate a hidden coin. Other levels allow you to find either/or/also a car battery and a spark plug (sort of an odd choice of collectible). There are also cats that you can click on for 10,000 bonus points. The HOPS are either in list or shadow mode. There are also levels that include match 3, mahjong and find the difference. So there are a lot of different elements that are playable per country. To me, that all equals to a very long game and that makes me happy. With that said, this game is not without it's faults. First off, the music is TERRIBLE! I literally made me sick to my stomach after about 10 minutes. I had to turn it off. Sounds like a bad 80's synthesizer. I also found some odd titles for searchable items like "burr grinder". That ended up being a pepper mill. Lastly, I encountered a match 3 game where you had to not only match a certain number of specific items, but you also had to make sure all the squares were covered. Not a problem IF ALL THE TILES WEREN'T DARK GREY! It was so hard to tell which ones were and were not covered. I spent 5 minutes trying to get one covered, just to learn it was already covered! Usually these types of puzzles have a light covered background that turn dark when they are covered. This was close to impossible to differ because the colors were so close in tone. Okay, so it's not perfect, but without the music, it's a pretty enjoyable game. It's worth a game credit and will occupy your brain for many hours of fun.

First the good: LONG game! Challenging puzzles Challenging HOPs Excellent storyline Hard to find keys and statues Jump Map Good bonus game that explains part of the story. Well worth the extra for a CE.
The bad: I've got nothing bad to say! This is the best game in this series (so far). I hope they continue to put out games of this quality. This has everything that a gamer should want. If I could have given it 6 stars, I would have.
As always, give the demo a try, but I guarantee you'll end up buying it!

This game is time management to the next level! Although, since each chapter took me about 20 mins. to play, I'm glad I had it on the no time limit mode. The levels just go on and on. Certainly not a complaint. I love a long game! The story line is very interesting and the little bits of history before each level was an added bonus. As someone else pointed out, I wish they wouldn't have the constant reminders that any building can be demolish. Maybe Season Two won't have that? (PLEASE!). Can't wait for season two! Hope they do other adventures, like Greek, Norse or Indian. You keep making them, I'll keep buying them! This is an A+ game.

Based on the demo, I only got to level 4 before I started yawning. I really love time management games, but this one was sooo slow. I'm sorry I couldn't give a better review. I really wanted to like this one. What's not to like? Dinosaurs, time travel, mad scientist... check, check, check. The music was nice too. BUT I just couldn't get into it. I know others loved it, so please try the demo for yourself. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I'm giving it a recommend based on the fact that the graphics are nice and other people might have a better reaction to it then I did.

Based on the demo. Starting with the good, I really loved the soft Italian music! I even found myself humming along to one of them! Nice clear graphics and very colorful. I also liked the little info about all the places that were visited in Italy. The search items were VERY well hid and I was grateful for the hint button. What I didn't like was that there was a clock, but it really wasn't a timed game. What's the point? It would have been much more relaxing without that clock ticking away. I could tell by the way the game was progressing that you had to replay levels to achieve enough stars to proceed to the next level. Even with the levels switching from text to shadow to mixed up letters, it was sort of a drag. I guess there were other modes you could play, but I didn't explore that. The repetition was... well... repetitious! I would suggest this game for a beginner, but it was not for me. One little side note: I noticed that the name on the boarding pass was Jennifer Hudson. I wonder if the developer is a fan of hers?
I've been playing a lot of time management games lately (taking a break from HOPS). This is one of my favorite series (although I don't think anything will top the Dracula series!). I love the graphics and the speed of the gameplay. It's fun and straight forward. You aren't going to strain your eyes or brain to play this one, but it's a pleasant way to spend some time. There isn't much strategy involved, so I would say this would be great for a beginner to this genre of game. This one has a bonus where after you earn 5 or 6 gold stars, you get to pick from 3 treasure chests. Some are empty, some give you more workers, speed or the ability to work faster. You can also receive a chest that gives you more items per drop. Unfortunately for me, I kept choosing the empty chest, that's the luck of the draw. I will most likely purchase this game using a freebie and continue my quest. Try the demo and see what you think!
