I've played all the other PuppetShow games and have enjoyed most of them. They aren't very difficult, the graphics are beautiful, and they make for a pleasant few hours of time well spent. This one is all of those things. It's a short game (GRRRR!), but if you've played any of the other PuppetShow entries, you know that in advance. Is it worth getting the CE? Yeah, the bonus game was interesting enough for me. Again, not very long or difficult, but still enjoyable enough. The collectibles (flowers, which proved no purpose and bells, that were mainly used to advertise previous entries in this series) were somewhat tricky to find, but you aren't you to strain your eyes looking for them. Anyway, this game was made for a nice quiet Saturday afternoon of gaming. Check out the demo. Just remember, this one ain't rocket science.
I recommend this game!

When I first started playing, my first impression was "this is lame". Seemed way too easy. All the items were large and obvious. As I continued playing, it actually got harder and the items got more and more difficult to find. I hate using hints, but I have to admit I was really glad that the hint button did refill eventually. There are apparently 5 different stories to this game. I'm on the first one and it goes on FOREVER! I'm never one to complain about a long game and getting your money's worth, so I shall not complain here... BUT it is apparently a LONG game. My only real complaint is the music. It got on my nerves and I ended up turning it way down. The storyline started out lame, but as it went on I was more interested in it. So, although I wouldn't recommend this game for an advanced player, it's a really good one for beginners and intermediate players. It's pure HOP with no puzzles and no bells and whistles. So if that's your cup of tea, then by all means give this demo a try. Keep an open mind.
I recommend this game!

This is based on the demo. I was pleasantly surprised at the challenge that this Christmas game offered. Even the HOPS were difficult... and I consider myself an above average player. When I purchase this game (which I WILL!), I'm going to start over and hopefully do better than I did on the demo! The storyline was interesting to me because the character of Krampus is such a unique being. It's nice to see him as the villain. I LOVED the "Barney Fife" cop at the police station! The elf's voice was sort of annoying, but at least he is not a helper within the game. Overall, the graphics are bright and colorful (as a Christmas game should be), the sound/voices were good and the game play was challenging. Fun Factor? 5 STARS! I have read other reviews saying this was a long game, so I will assume that it is... even though there are very few chapters. I'm looking forward to continuing the journey that this game will take me. As always, try to demo for yourself. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Merry Christmas y'all from Tennessee!

Usually I get on here and complain about the length of the CEs that have been coming out lately. Well, I can honestly say that I have nothing to complain about with this beautiful game! The graphics are bright and colorful, the animation of the character mouths was some of the best I've seen and the story was interesting. Lots of things to collect too! There are a lot of puzzle, but they are very easy. The HOPS were actually harder than the puzzles! The main game was long and so was the bonus chapter, which just makes me a very happy camper! If I could have given this 6 stars, I would have! As always, give the demo a try, but I'm sure you'll be pleased with this game.
I recommend this game!

I'm on the fence with this one. I liked the challenge of trying to find all the objects, but I didn't understand that you could move stuff around until after I played the first round of 8 puzzles. My main issue with this one is that there was no untimed option. I don't care for games that stress me out and that's what this one did. But I know some people are more into the challenge of beating the clock than I am, so with that in mind, I gave it 4 stars. It's well done, super colorful and the characters are cute. The storyline is thrown in to make it Christmasy, but it wasn't really needed. Try the demo and give it a try. It might be your cup of tea.
I recommend this game!

I've played all the Christmas Wonderland games and loved them all. This one is no exception. I look forward to them every year and replay the old ones too. Yes, they are all basically the same, but so what? If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Mostly easy HOPS and puzzles, with a few minor head scratchers. A great game for kids or just relaxing with a cup of hot chocolate on a snowy day. There's something comforting about this series (and their Halloween series as well). I just love them all! Don't expect anything too earth shatteringly difficult... just go with the flow and enjoy!
I recommend this game!

I previewed this game prior to it coming out. I was disappointed in it at that time because in it's original form, I felt it was too easy and silly for most players. I swore I would not buy it. When the game was released, I tried the demo to see whether anything had changed. I was happy to see that some things had been changed and I enjoyed the demo. I went against my instincts and bought the game. Although it was still a basically easy game (great for kids and beginners!), I was VERY disappointed in the length of it. It was too short for a CE! WHY did I let myself get suckered into another short CE?? It could have easily gone at least 3 chapters longer by using more of the Wonderland characters. I thought the bonus game would continue the plot, but it went into a (very cute) feline Scrooge storyline instead. Unless you are buying this for the grandkids to play over the holidays, don't waste your money, or wait for the regular edition and buy with a credit.
I don't recommend this game.

There's not much I can say that others haven't said. I really enjoyed this LONG game. I hate short games, so that in itself was worth at least 3 stars from me. I found the story interesting (the monster made me think of season 3 of Riverdale) and the detective had a sense of humor. I wanted to slap those spoiled, rich kids for being bullies! Voice overs were good, music was unobtrusive, and the collectibles were fairly easy to find. The puzzles ranged from easy to moderately difficult. The bonus game was long as well, so I was a happy camper. It was a nice continuation of the main story. Overall, it was a good buy for me. I'm looking forward to more of this series in the future. Give the demo a try!
I recommend this game!

I played both the regular game and the bonus. Although this game isn't up to the legacy that the original Ravenhearst or Madam Fate games were, it's better than Revenant or some of the more recent offerings (excluding Rewind, which I loved). The spooky factor wasn't there and the combo puzzles weren't as difficult as I would have hoped, but they were better than some of the recent games. I sort of feel sorry for the devs because they have so much to live up to. There's only so much you can drag out of Ravenhearst before the well runs dry. It seems like they are trying to start something new with this one. The game ends rather suddenly, which make me think there might be a sequel. The length of this game was good, considering there weren't many chapters. The bonus game was long as well and interesting to me. Overall, it's a good game and worth trying the demo. Just leave your expectations of Ravenhearst at the door and enjoy it for what it is.
I recommend this game!

There are things I liked and things I didn't like about this game. I liked the graphics and the ghostly image of the former wife in the story. The voices were annoyingly British (or at least some of them were) and some of the graphics showed lip movement and some didn't (Make up your mind Devs!). The puzzles were standard fare and fairly easy. I think I looked at the guide once to make sure I was on the right track. The morphs were odd because some of them were large. The collectable witches were easy to spot. The main story was soooo short! They had a good story going and ended it too fast (even if the "villain" was an easy guess from the start). The bonus game almost made up for the shortness of the main game, but it was basically more of the same old, same old. This story had very little to do with Halloween except that a Victorian Halloween party was suppose to be going on (with 3 guests??) and there was a friendly ghost appearing when needed. Don't waste your money on this one. There are better Halloween games out there. Like always, try the demo first, but just know that the demo is about as good as it gets in this game.
I don't recommend this game.
