This game goes well with the others in this series... yet it's not as click crazy as some of the others... which I very much appreciated.
My only dislike is that it takes a LONG time for any building to be able to happen while you wait for the food to grow, the sawmill to produce logs, etc.
There are ghosts and tornados, but they don't appear so often that they drive you crazy... and thank goodness they got rid of those birds!
As always, the Sally games are fun. This time, however, it seemed to me that the people who wrote this tried to go one direction... didn't like it... and went another with no changes and nothing that made sense. It was comedic to a certain extent, but completely nonsensical.
I still hate the "minigames" in these things, finding them more annoying than fun and thank you for having a level option (beginner, normal, expert) that I could manage. Still a fun game.
The whole reason I'm writing this review is to say I wish they would come out with more of these games. I played 4 Aztec Skulls, which seemed to be an attempt to make another of these games, but it didn't even come close.
I love the feeling of freedom in these three games even though you are being led along a story line. The way everything is revealed a piece at a time along with having to search for some things (though finding all the hidden items isn't necessary and slashing down all the bushes can get a little bit annoying) is a ton of fun and gives the impression of a much bigger game than it really is.
I play these three games over and over again. Interestingly, however, I noticed that Book Three is no longer listed. I can get it through my previous purchases, but I find that odd.

As always, an excellent game. I have loved all 4 of these so far. I especially love the ability to tune it to "relaxed" and just play... not have to stress about beating some time limit.
The guys are up to their habit of saving the world(s) again... but this time help comes from an unusual place! It will be interesting to see what happens when number 5 comes out.
I don't know exactly why I don't much care for this story line. It seems rather boring, but that's not what bothers me.
There is no place to select "beginner, regular, expert" and I don't click as fast as I used to. I could tell after the first hour of play that it would only get faster and I wouldn't be able to keep up. I just finished the second "Dr. Cares" series and it had a beginner level that was difficult for me to keep up with. (It also has a better story line.)
There are also pointless "mini-games" in this game that make it more aggravating than fun.
The story line in this seems as if it could be interesting and opens the field for many sequels. However there is no difficulty setting. I don't click very fast any more and only had a level or two (in the demo) where I could make 3 stars. As the game will only get more difficult, I probably will not purchase this. The explanation of how to play the different games doesn't help sometimes and you end up wasting time trying to figure it out. There are also constant "pop up" games that interrupt your attempts to "click ahead". It's kind of fun, yet annoying at the same time.
I have to agree with what others have said... the children have taken over the story line. Also there are "sub-challenges" that block what you are doing in the game... such as "rub the baby" while you're trying to handle putting orders together... and they are simply annoying.
My biggest problem with this game is that it kept freezing. Windows would eventually help me shut it down and then I'd have to start over and hope that it didn't freeze again.
On the plus side is that they listened to those of us who are not so fast at clicking things and put in a "beginner" mode. I love that. I can actually finish some things that I couldn't before.
Still... this series is one of the best, so I will recommend this game.
I've always enjoyed the Incredible Dracula games. That said, I despise having to start a level over because I didn't have enough of something to complete it. I swear that kept happening every fifth level or so in this game. I got near the end and was so tired of it that I deleted the game without finishing it.
I know that some people like that in a game... the having to start over because they didn't get the strategy correct. I'm not one of those. I play these games to relax and I find having to start over frustrating.
Perhaps the "easy" mode should have enough items to finish even if you don't do it exactly correctly?
