This is probably the easiest of the "live" peeps games; puzzles not as hard as the virtual village series. Peeps have some personality, if they want to farm, they drag their feet chopping wood. Worth your time and money. Good game for the older kids who can't keep the peeps alive in other games. Challenging, but not difficult.
I recommend this game!

HOG with some other puzzles thrown in. There are 5 stories to "solve" as Jessica Fletcher moves between locations. Amusing twist, having to find 6 typewriter keys, to fill in the blanks of the list of objects to find. Each of the stories takes between 30-45 minutes to solve.
This is a 2 dimensional game. You send out the little men to gather resources, and you rebuild their homes. It takes some thought to get gold every level. I'll pick this one up when it's a daily special.
This one was worth the wait. The devs did a better job, even than Book One, which I also loved. This series is better than Pioneer Lands, and almost better than The Promised Land. I love that you have to plan what to build and where to get gold. And these games aren't dark and creepy like so many of them. And you want gold on each level, so that you can play the concluding bonus level. This series makes the Island Tribe series, or Roads of Rome series, look so old school. I can hardly wait for Book Three!
It's a TM along the lines of Dragon Keeper, or Magic Farm - both of which are better games in this genre. You have little choice on what you are doing with the time available. You can only carry 2 things, so you are going back and forth a lot carrying water and feed. You are supposed to be helping save your Grandfather's farm. The Farmscape games are better done for that storyline. I'm going to wait until it's a daily special for $2.99 before I buy it.
It's colorful, and the story line is also for kids. But the difficulty in playing it, isn't for the kids who are young enough to like the animals. You not only have to choose the animal, you have to move the animal constantly, and more than 1 animal is needing moved to repel the droid invaders. Garden Defense and the Plant Rescue games are more fun, and easier to understand how to play. Get Plants vs. Zombies, or Monster Mash, both are much better games with an amusing storyline.
Discover the fabulous secrets that a jungle hides in Adelantado Trilogy: Book One! Help the brave and noble officer, Don Diego De Leon, to find and save the lost expedition.
This one was almost as good as "The Promised Land." Beats the "Roads of Rome" type - where you just send out the dudes to pick up stuff. Like "Pioneer Land" you have to think out a strategy to beat the clock. And you want to beat the clock, so that you can play the conclusion challenge level.

I bought this one as a daily $2.99 special - I would have been mad if I'd paid more. I finished it in about 2 hours. It was a fun 2 hours. This is one of the find the pieces, figure out the puzzles games. Each chapter has a "mechanical" puzzle at the end. You have to get several parts to work together at the same time - a different twist on the usual puzzles.
