This was a very good game, though to be honest I'm having trouble keeping track the Gray Family Tree (I can't seem to get a grip on it). Any fan of the series will like this and as in Detectives United, Richard has had his voice restored to the one we've all come to know and love. The story is intriguing, I found the bonus chapter confusing though. A must for any Grim Tales fan--though sometime I wish they would get away from Anna always saving the family from something--as they have in a few of the other games.
I recommend this game!

Anna Gray has her hands full this time as she battles Fate to save her family. Though I've played many of the games in this series, this was not one of my favorites. Be careful to find all the collectibles--if you miss any you don't get to go back and look for them again. I missed the progenitor of the Gray/McGray family on the family tree.
It's not fair for me to compare, playing the games out of sequence, but having picked up the series later in the progression I regret not having played these in order. I recommend playing them in order if you can, I played the preview of The Bride and didn't purchase the game, as a result I feel I missed out on a lot. This game is a must play for Grim Tales fans.
I recommend this game!

I was getting really tired of Saint Germane in this series, I'm happy to say that if you dislike the annoying, evil dwarf you won't be bothered with him in this came. It's another twisted tale of Star Crossed lovers. Be very careful to collect all the apples so you can complete the secret missions. The art, music, and voice overs were up to the usual standards of this series. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't the best game I've played this year, but it was probably one of the better ones in this series. I didn't understand the ramification of the bonus chapter, so I could have lived without it. If you're a fan of the series, go for it. I founds a lot of puzzles annoying, so I hit the skip button for them multiple times. I didn't like the pop up rating system for your HO scenes, but you can turn that off.
I recommend this game!

I loved this game as I've been a follower of Grim Tales, Haunted Hotel, and Mystery Trackers for years. I especially loved having Anna Gray and Richard having big roles in the story line. Elephant has outdone themselves this time. If you like any or all of these game series you can't loose. I hope this is a launch of a new series. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about it. A good creepy story, beautiful artwork, great voice overs and lip syncing, and a wonderful score. Who could as for anything more? I just wish it had been longer because I loved it so much I didn't want it to end.
I recommend this game!

I usually really like Mad Head games but this one didn't thrill me too much. It had very good graphics and music. The story line was a bit too familiar to me though. Another spouse goes missing after messing with the occult--under an evil spell, etc. Carlos was a replacement for the damsel in distress and was almost a non-character with no character development at all to speak of. I guess I'm tired of indigenous people demons threatening to take over the world. I must confess I loathed the talisman Simon type of repeating patterns which one had to reproduce in the correct order. I haven't played any other games in this series so I have nothing to compare. Give the trial a whirl before buying--the bonus game really didn't add anything much to the story.
I don't recommend this game.

I love this series and got into it after it had been going for a while, so I've been going back and playing games in the series that I'd missed in the past. This is a great chapter the Gray Family Saga, although it starts a little slowly, the suspense grows gradually. The graphics are high quality and the soundtrack, the only fault I could find is that the characters mouths don't move when they talk, but that's a small thing and a large improvement over the days when all the dialogue was written. The voice overs are excellent and fit the story; which is not something I can say of all games in this genre. If you're s Grim Tales fan, don't miss this one. Keep a close eye out for the bonus tiles, you won't be able to go back are retrieve them after you finish the game.
I recommend this game!

I love this series, this game is no exception. It has beautiful artwork and suspenseful story-line. I liked the fact that I could go back at the end and find the morphing and collectibles I couldn't find while I was playing. The morphs in these games, this one in particular, are particularly difficult--if I had any criticism is that they don't change quickly enough and are very hard to find. The soundtrack was appropriately creepy. If you liked the other Maze games, this one is one you'll want to play. I particularly liked the bonus game at the end. All in all I liked the Sheriff character best and once again I wish the developers would make the character I am playing either gender neutral or let me choose genders. These games are long, so you get your money's worth--and also very challenging--so don't take it on unless you don't mind devoting a lot of time to it.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this game more than some of the other more recent ones in the series. This goes back to the basic roots of the original story line--but I won' t say too much because I don't want to give any spoilers. I love the PuppetShow series and have played every game since the beginning. That having been said, this isn't a horror game, but it is a suspenseful story--if you're looking for scary thrills this may not be your cup of tea. Some of the other games in the series were pretty scary by comparison. If you're a fan of the series I don't think you'll be disappointed. The artwork and story in this game was better than average. I like the fact in the more recent games in this series we get to choose an avatar to represent ourselves in the game and that it isn't a fixed gender "detective" like in some other games. I don't like having to play first person female characters, though I can if the game is interesting enough. The music was on a par with the other games in the series and the bonus chapter extended the story line.
I recommend this game!

I think it's time to put the Ravenhurst Saga to bed--permanently; I think that they've done everything they could possibly do with the theme now. Victor is up to no good again with no explanation of how he ends up being alive again when we'd found his skeleton next to Charles in one of the later game. The retro approach was fun, but reminded me of what I hated about those old games with time limits and having to repeat the same scenes over and over again. I have played all the Mystery Case Files Games since the beginning except for the Revanant; I wouldn't rate this one in the top 10 but it was far from the worst. For the life of me I can't remember who the kid was and I'd played the game he'd come from. The characters were so stylized that it was hard to recognize them. The mega puzzles were impossible and should have at least offered hints--I had to skip all of them. At least in Ravenhurst I eventually could figure them out and I played that game more than any MCF episode. If your a fan and played the old games, try the demo--if you're newer to the series you probably won't get a lot of the references.
I recommend this game!

If you've seen movies like Winchester, The Haunting of Hill House, or the Rosered miniseries this plot line will seem somewhat familiar to you; it was to me. I really wanted this game badly and couldn't wait to play it, but I wasn't scared by it. Though I'm not fond of games with excessive violence or gore (I'd say this is rather safe for young people), I wanted something a little scarier. The graphics, music, and visual style were all good. I loved the fact that I could go back and recovery my missing collector's items--though I had trouble finding the morphing objects (but this is nothing unusual for me). I liked the Souvenir Room. Thank you Epix Games for adding this much sought after feature (recovering collectibles you've missed. All in all it's a fun game, but if you want to be creeped out this isn't going to do it, at least it didn't for me.
I recommend this game!
