I have mixed emotions about this game; I was expecting a bit more. The artwork was okay, but like so many of these games I am feel like I'm living in a anachronistic nightmare. I really wish it would have had more of a vintage, old time look--but it had too much modern technology present all around. I also wish that main game had had an alternate ending. It's hard to believe anyone would think that Barbara was so attractive that men would be fighting over her all the time; I wish she had had a more of a classy, glamorous movie star appearance. The music was nostalgic sounding, but a bit redundant. If you like fight scene and violence you'll like this--if you're looking for a more of a romantic love story forget about it. The bonus chapter was just OK, I didn't feel it added much, if anything to the main story--so the SE version might be all you'd need to satisfy your Noir cravings. I am recommending this game for a person who wants a violent crime drama--but don't recommend it for people looking for a more romantic storyline

Up to this game I've played every one in this series, but I found this one to be the most daunting. It was a bit hard for me to wrap my mind around the story. The artwork and music were beautifully done, but I found the collectibles almost impossible to find. I was grateful that when I completed the game that I was able to go back and collect everything I missed. Although I enjoy a challenge, I found myself hitting the skip button more frequently than I'd have liked--all in all I would have liked more hidden object scenes and fewer puzzles. If you're a fan of the series play the demo first; I was a beta tester and found the first part of the story intriguing--maybe on a whole you'll like it better than I had.
I recommend this game!

I am a fan of the later games of this series particularly, but I didn't like this one so much. I was a beta tester and I thought it showed promise. The artwork is good, but we seem to have slipped from Steampunk to a sort of anachronistic jumble. Like other reviewers I found the story line somewhat confusing. The game is also, I felt, a bit on the short side altogether. The bonus chapter is a separate story and doesn't really add anything to the main game story. I, as usual, had problems finding all the collectibles and wish there was a way to go back after you finished and research scenes to find the ones you've missed. I recommend if you a series fan to try the demo first and then decide if you like it enough to do the whole game. I thought it started out very promising but then kind of left me hanging in the end.
I recommend this game!

I loved this game. The artwork, story, and music were excellent. I liked the Sherlock Holmes like quality of the scenes and the detective--all that was missing was a Watson. The Bonus Game was excellent too. I highly recommend it.

This is a very cute holiday game. It was a lot of fun to play and appropriate for children of all ages. Nothing gruesome or worrisome here--just a good old fairy tale story. The bonus game is fun--but I little weird--but all in all it was a nice game to get into the holiday spirit with. Just remember don't judge a book by it's cover.
I recommend this game!

I've played all the games in this series and found this one to be refreshing. The artwork and animations were excellent and crisp, the music was good. I like being able to select an avatar for my character and wish there was customization allowed--it's very fun. If you liked the other games in the series pick this up. The bonus chapter is OK, but though not essential, wraps things up nicely.

Great Halloween themed game. It's a relaxing game and not overly gruesome as some of the games in the horror genre can be. The artwork is beautiful and the bonus chapter clears up some things that is worth the price of admission. Great storyline. Another high quality game from Elephant. Beautiful artwork and nice music--if you want a spooky--yet not an overly violent game--this is for you. A good choice for teens as well.
I recommend this game!

I found this came to be of high quality with good characterizations, artwork, and music. The story line frustrated me a bit--but it is difficult to explain why without spoilers. What I can say is it difficult to say whether we are dealing with trickery or a witch or other unexplained supernatural forces. A lot of things didn't make a whole lot of sense for me. If it's Grim Façade game you're usually dealing with some sort of some sort of revenge motivation--but it's unclear what the revenge was for exactly. I usually don't expect the storyline in these game to make a huge amount of sense--but a little more continuity would be nice. All in all if you like the other games in the series go for it.
I recommend this game!

I think this is the longest game in I've played in the Haunted Legends series to date. It gives you a lot of bang for your buck and a lot of play time. The storyline was intriguing; and of course we have to deal with pesky SG again--who can get a bit tiresome after a while. The artwork was stunning with a lot of variety of hidden object scenes and difficult somewhat difficult min-games. One of the better games in the series, I recommend it. The only reason I gave it only four stars is that morphing objects are difficult to find and it's tough to get awards--but no other complaints here.
I recommend this game!

This was a wonderful game on so many levels. The artwork has a Disney-like animated style. Great score. By recent standards the unaminated characters may seem like a bit of a throwback but it didn't impair my enjoyment; but it's well worth picking up and playing. My only criticism would be that the mini-games offer little guidance, but you do have the ability to skip if you can't figure one out. Help Bluebeard's Son escape his father's curse--encounter interesting characters and enjoy the beautifully animated ending.
I recommend this game!
