Harmonium? Again? Must we still? Oh the bad girl who turned good last time has turned bad again - then she shot me? I must have morphed into someone else, this is scifi/fantasy I guess. And down the rabbit hole we go! This made no sense like the last one, why did I buy this series without trying it first? Because it was Eipix and now I am shaking my head...I have an Owl/Dragon puppy? (are baby dragons puppies?)/ Friendly babyish looking gargoyle 'helper' whose name is Basil....Original.... I'm surprised it wasn't Basilium:) Anyway, Basil is there to help translate and explain things for you - only he is of no help. It is also bad enough without some annoying robotic bird following me through the woods in my way when I have to look for things that I can't see because you got it, the bird is covering it up. Last we have the good guy who has turned bad somehow turns good again (been there, did that)?!? And I am so sorry I ever purchased these games. I have I think 5 more? Glutton for punishment I guess, for I will try them all since I bought them. Away we go.....
I don't recommend this game.

I really think it was just the game. I don't get into fantasy/scifi or whatever these are called. They seem like childish, overblown, overly dramatic fairy tales to me. They never make sense to me and so they end up a skip and hint game instead of a Hidden Object one. I don't understand why normal people can't just be normal people, they always have to have some strange name like plainborn or towndweller. The hidden object scenes are what I have come to call hidden puzzle object scenes as in you have to find hands for a clock before you can even find a clock. Then at the end of the Hidden Object Scene there is always a riddle, a riddle is yet another puzzle! You do have the option of playing a bubble popper game instead of doing the HO but then it makes little sense as to what you have found or what you are doing. I wish you would have the option of doing a puzzle or playing a hidden object scene. Why are stories like this always in an alternate world/reality Anther in this case where you have Torment and Harmonium personified. I feel that there is little story and so it is dragged out to the max with puzzles and other time wasters, even rope puzzles that don't work. It also makes no sense to me how you do things: Your friends crash and so you run all over 'Anther' and do all this busywork and then all of a sudden remember that your friends have crashed and you need to find them and see if they are okay. How does that make any sense or hold anyone's interest? Then in this story you find out it was all for nothing, you needn't have gone there in the first place?!? I can't believe something was actually called HARMocoral! And that is a good thing? what!!! These are overly dramatic, childish fairytale like stories, but not that good even. And why must there always be rhyming? Is it always RAP on another world? The Shadow of Torment had me picturing ghosts in torment, something along supernatural lines would have been ever so much better! Yet I have bought this entire series, a glutton for punishment (I thought they would be good since they were done by Eipix!) So off to 'The Obsidian Book' I go.
I recommend this game!

I thought I was stuck on the tree of life forever??? That seemed to be where the last game ended. I am not a big fantasy/scifi fan but Eipix is one of my favorite developers so I bought this series. I am confused as to why the living mountain was a threat and what the bad guy intended to do with it. As usual with EIpix it had great graphics and the actions were usually storyline related though some were a little farfetched. This game had a better map for poor people like me with no sense of direction in life or in gameplay. My only gripe (other than the inability to quite grasp the story) was that most of the hidden object scenes were moving, you had to find things around things that were moving around which is quite difficult for someone like me with vestibular issues and can leave someone like me feeling quite queasy, not something I would want from trying to relax and play a game. I would recommend it to all you fantasy/scifi fans, but I am someone into horror and paranormal so this was just not the best game for me. We'll see how Amaranthine Voyage: The Shadow of Torment goes...
I don't recommend this game.

I thought the game was wonderfully nicely done, good scenery, good characters, good everything. Nice that there were lots of hidden objects scenes as opposed to puzzle after puzzle after puzzle. I don't like puzzles but the ones here were not obnoxious and they were doable for me instead of the pull out your hair in frustration type. I got the biggest kick out of the wizard (don't know his name, I was lost) who was a bad guy turned good who would wait on you and while he was waiting he would do a bit of magic by playing with a spark of fire. I would go back when I knew where he was an could find him, just to watch sometimes. All that brings me to the bad, I was so lost....there were a ton of scenes and I don't have a good sense of direction at all. Having to go through a bunch of scenes to complete tasks and then backtracking to someplace you can't remember where it was (like where was that arrow supposed to go?) was a bit frustrating and I had to use the hint button a lot. There was a map but it didn't teleport you to your place it just showed where you were and where you needed to go and since it was more than one page it got a bit complex and so I clicked hint, sometimes to the point of making it more of an interactive story than a game which is not good. I play of an evening to relax before going to bed and this story didn't hold my interest enough to keep me awake and therefore I got even more lost. I also think I am stuck on the tree of life forever, which can't be since there are more in this series...guess I will have to see if it continues on. I prefer spooky and creepy horror to wizards and magic (unless it's of the hoodoo variety) and fantasy so this isn't my cup of tea, but I love Eipix as a developer and so I bought this series untried. We'll have to see how the rest go.
I recommend this game!

This game is not an improvement over All-in-One Mahjong as I had hoped. It is still a very primitive and basic Mahjong game. There are only 48 levels and it only shows in two rows, about four and three-fourths layouts per row, when you get past those you then have to scroll to wherever you wish to be. It doesn't automatically forward you to the next layout as you play either - you have to go out to the main menu and scroll through the two rows to find it. There are only 3 tile sets offered. The backgrounds on this one seemed to have gotten a little more work than the last one but again there is no improvement. The backgrounds, especially of blueberries and the one of a pile of fall leaves are so busy they overpower the mahjong tile set, are too distracting and way too busy. As in the last one you don't log in as a player, you just play. You have the option of timed or by score. Timed doesn't mean you have a certain amount of time to finish a layout, it means it will keep track of how long it took you to finish the layout so you can try to beat it next time. If you are playing and someone else has played, you get the best time of all players, not just you. The only way out of the game is to make the screen small and then hit X. Like I said a very primitive game. Unless you are a real mahjong fanatic like me, look for another mahjong game Big Fish has many many better options than this one.
I don't recommend this game.

Mahjong is my game, I love it in all forms. I think I own about all the Mahjong games Big Fish has. When I saw this was called All-In-One Mahjong I had all these visions of infinite layouts and different varieties of game-play. Instead I find this game to be a very primitive basic Mahjong game.Weirdly the tiles kind of glare at you, making it hard on your eyes and giving you a headache. There is a timed mode, but it doesn't knock you out if you don't solve it in a certain amount of time, instead it keeps track of the time you take to solve the layout, I'm guessing so you can try to beat your time the next time through. It also doesn't automatically give you the next layout or even have them in an easy to see format. Instead, the layouts are in two rows of 21 and you have to scroll to find the layout you wish because only two rows of four, I think it was, show at a time. This means that a lot of the time when trying to scroll to a layout you want, you will accidentally click one you don't. Then the layout you don't want comes up, so you have to get out of that one and go back into the game to find the one you want. The game is also very limited as there are only 42 layouts. I found the backgrounds and the tile-sets to be mediocre at best. Yet, there is a second one in this series so I shall play it next and hope for improvement. I can't resist a mahjong game. If you are deciding whether or not you want to buy this and you aren't a Mahjong fanatic like me, look elsewhere. Big Fish has many many many Mahjong games that are far better and much more fun than this one.
I don't recommend this game.

I don't understand why anyone would like this game! It is all the puzzles that you hate in a HOPA thrown together in one, with no story-line and no hidden objects - just the puzzles you hate...one... after another..after another...after another...after another....after another... with no rhyme or reason for completing a task . Woohoo let's go have fun! (NOT!) The train was nauseating and I am done. Wish you luck (haha) especially if this is your idea of fun!

I have played through all four of the Alicia Quartermain games and had a great time doing so (got all my work done in record time as well to have more play time:). I do wish there were more! But alas! Since there isn't and since I have saved the world from catastrophe perhaps it is time to take a break, relax and play some Mahjong. Warning: If you try this game you will have a difficult time stopping! There is one problem with this 4th game though, somehow even though you complete the game you end up one star short of being able to finish Da Vinci's workshop.
I recommend this game!

If you think this will help your eyes track, you are wrong! If you think this will help your mind make you more balanced you are wrong. If you do this game and then spend the rest of the day feeling nauseous, don't say you weren't forewarned! I wish people would consider people with disabilities when making these games.

Until I beta tested this game. It was so horrid that I actually made a note in my game notebook to never just buy a Living Legends series game (as I had previously always done) without doing the trial first. I find it difficult to believe it got such positive reviews from other beta testers....
