The Twisted Lands: Origin is twisting (pun intended), travelling, challenging game where the demo hour passed before I even realized it. It was beautifully done artisically and the music was appropriate and not annoying. There are so many things to find from the very beginning and your inventory doesn't end up with much in it as you want to use that item as soon as you get it. The map is not interactive but extremely helpful if you remember that you have to go left instead of right when reading it. The hint button is very helpful in telling you what to do next if you get confused where you are supposed to go and it refills quickly. The storyline is compelling and you get involved from the very beginning. The hos were somewhat junky and some items are a little difficult to find. The puzzles that I ran across were not difficult in the least. There is a lot of travelling back and forth, but I did not become frustrated with it, unless I was having to remember where something was which is why I stated that memory is required for this game. Also objects must be purchased from the lady by the bridge, so keep a look out for coins in your journey. Overall I really loved this game and fully recommend it.

It's not as sophisticated as so many that we play today but it is fun to play and I really did enjoy it. The storyline is about a young woman who loses who beauty to a witch and she is fighting to get her youth back. I didn't quite finish the second chapter but I also like that she is trying to release the bewitched former students of the school (reminds me of several others I have played and own). The game has 3 levels, which I played casual. The hint button fills quickly but don't know if he led from place to place as I didn't need to use it that way. The mini games are rather simple, but do fit into the game as it flows. The hos were not difficult and the items were not hard to find. I just have to say that this would be a great game for a beginner or if one just wants to play a laid back hos with a good storyline.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game and found the storyline, while a usual type, interesting to follow. The ghost of the witch is kind of funky, especially when it leaves the scene. The art itself was very well done and much crisper than some of the other creepy adventure/hog. The colors were vibrant. The music was getting what seemed faster and wanting you to move faster on your search. Didn't quite finish the demo, but I rarely do because I take my time to explore to see if I really want to buy it. I found the hos items rather easy to find and didn't test out the hint button. The strategy guide was helpful and integrated and easy to use. There was no finding "extras" and no map which was disappointing. But all in all, I enjoyed the game (played casual mode) and would recommend it.

I enjoyed this game with its interesting storyline and good graphics. The hos were relatively easy because there was not a lot of cluttering of the scenes. The games were also fairly easy and didn't take a lot of time. I entered the options to lower the volumes of music, voices and sound, so they were there but not intrusive and not annoying. There was a number of running back and forth issues but not to the point of huge frustration. The strategy guide was well done, but didn't follow as you moved forward though it did stay at where you last had it. The hint button was helpful and charged at an average rate, but don't know how it works for going from scene to scene as I didn't use it for that purpose. The cut scenes helped move the scenes along and interjected just enough to keep you moving forward and interested. The art was well done and had the appropriate look for a run down disappearing town. Also the time measured by the moon was an interesting concept. I forgot to check out what the possible extras were before I got into the game and ran out of time before I had the chance to check. Was an enjoyable demo hour and I recommend this game to beginners/intermediate players on the casual setting.

Have played demo on both CE and SE. I enjoyed both and the storyline was good. The music and background noise was appropriate but buzzing bees could become annoying. Also found that music disappeared in some places so I wondered at the time if something was wrong with my computer as it was kind of startling. The objects found were logical to use and finding the gold coins to purchase what you would need for another scene was different. The art was beautiful. The storyline was easy to follow and you had an idea what was going to happen by following the newspaper articles. Cut scenes were well done and the voice overs were very good. The hint button was based on the fans you found and they were only in the hos. When going back to an hos, they were not replaced. So using hint button needed to used carefully. The puzzles were not difficult. It was low keyed and didn't feel any "stress" to move faster to solve the mystery. I recommend this game

Cute game. All hos with puzzles interspersed to move game forward and give change of pace between hos. This is a great game for those who want all hidden object. The music and background noise can become annoying if you take to long on a scene. The hint button fills quickly and can be used as often as necessary. The idea of finding the gold, silver and bronze medals is cute and as the game progresses become harder to find. There is a storyline but not a storyline that is important to the game, Also, the ticket idea for the next place to go is good too. I recommend this game for those that want a game to play with just hidden objects and no real challenge to find the hidden objects and just go on to the next scene.
I recommend this game!

I found this game very entertaining and it captured my attention as I started playing and was disappointed when my time ran out. As I normally take my time and search all the options at the beginning of the game I found that I like having goals (achievements), going shopping and a map and strategy guide that were very helpful.
There are three levels in the game and as usual always start with casual. The intro was well done and drew me into the story quickly. It really didn't feel as if you were in her mind more like a fantasy game instead. The "real time" clips kept you apprised of what was happening physically while trying to deal with her mentally. The flowers were easy to locate as they were highlighted. The trail was easy to follow and I especially liked that when you completed an area, it was marked off on the map so you would not have to backtrack unnecessarily. The art was fabulous and the music which I set at a lower volume did not become annoying and fit into the scenes that were being played. It was also nice having only a couple of scenes to deal with at a time before you finished an area. The game was not complicated at the point I finished, but a good game that does not require an over abundance of thought and it moved at a good pace. The mini games were typical but not overly hard. You have the feeling you are trying to beat the time to save Jane Doe, but you don't feel rushed. I recommend this game.

Haven't had a lot of time to review games lately, but found time for this one. The music was very nice and the sound effects were not obtrusive to the point that I wanted to shut it down. Since I take my time going over the game, I found it interesting and entertaining and I did become caught up in the story. There were some questions though about if the others were caught in the explosion of dome and also drowned, but following the storyline was easy to follow. The mini games were fairly easy up to the part I ran out of time and wonder whether or not they will become harder. The hos were well done and the objects were not difficult to locate or interact with. The strategy guide was helpful but didn't move along as you did. I also liked the map so not a lot of running around. The communicators that needed to be found were a little more difficult to locate but actually their information gave more to the storyline. As I played on casual level it is difficult to say how the harder level compared. I really enjoyed this game and will purchase as soon as I get the chance.
I recommend this game!

It's not a bad game for introducing someone to the original concept of hidden object and puzzle game with achievements. There is very little storyline, lots and lots of hidden object scenes (every scene), mini puzzles, etc. Some of the objects are very small and require a lot of looking for. The mini puzzles consist of matching scenes, word searches, deciphering words, etc. The game is one that you can play for a while, but then need a break before going back to it as it can become boring. It's not a bad little game and I recommend it for beginners getting their feet wet.

I played the CE version, but wanted to wait for the SE. The storyline is easy to follow with just the right amount of mystery and lightness. The scenery is crisp and appropriate for the settings it conveys. The HOS are interactive and it keeps it interesting, but some of the objects are harder to find just because of size and blending. Since I played in casual mode, the sparkles, gears and hands were helpful and not overly obtrusive. Did not use the hint button, so the not sure of full status ie if it will tell you where you need to go next. Without a map, there was a lot of going back and forth and remembering what to use what on. The masks that are to be collected throughout the game were well hidden, but not so hidden they were unable to be found. The music was appealing and did not annoy and blended nicely to the gameplay. The storyline was well done and easy to follow. The mini games were typical but seemed appropriate in their use to open gates, etc. This is a well done game and fully intend to buy as soon as I finish my review.
I recommend this game!
