Until i encountered the terrible mini-game where you have to put shades together and there was NO skip-button. I hate when developers are so slordy :-( - I'm certainly not spending hours of time to figure out, how to get them combined thus the game is completely worthless to me now... wonderfully planned, developers :-( I don't have words enough to tell you how outraged i'm right now. This is insincerely built :-(
Ah, you developers, i'm deeply thankful that you made this game. In these troubled times, it is a perfect escape which also gives hope as fairytales do... i so love that you made this game! I enjoy every minute of it and i really love the gorgeous graphics and the wonderful voices and the scenery and just ... i love about everything in this game. Thank you very much for making it!
I get a deja vu feeling, when the game started. Didn't we just have the same opening in another game? A wedding, a bride that was hurt, one had to find items to identify the thief? I really wished, developers would come up with really good storylines instead of repeating each other again and again.
Wow, this never ever happened to me before (and i'm playing HOPAs since at least 10 years): i played the whole demo and in one session. I just couldn't stop playing. And i don't even like detective stories so much, usually they give me nightmares, but these developers are so great and the storyline is so intriguing. This is an amazing astonishment for me that i did play the whole demo without even feeling the time pass. Thank you so much developers, now i have to buy it :-)
something is wrong with the music - either you get your ears blown of - to at least understand what someone is saying or you cannot hear anything anymore - no music but also nothing that a person says... i guess, i'm playing HOPA-games now quite for more than 10 years and i never ever had such a difficulty in a game. I would have loved to be able to play it, but the music is unbearable and you cannot switch it off and still hear what a person is saying... very unpleasant experience :-(
I now play for 20 minutes and don't really get the storyline, it's a really strange story to me. Also, i'm not used to be commanded around in a game, i'd rather come to my own conclusions than be told what i have to do next by this strange boy. But apart from this: the graphics are gorgeous, the music is fine, voiceover is fine... christmas doesn't really have much to do with it, but that doesn't bother me... i'm most bothered by being pushed around be a teenager - and this story thus does not really appeal to me, sorry. But still: the games of this developers are mostly way better than the games of others, thus i recommend the game.
I'm deeply disappointed by this game. It has no charme at all, whereas if you have Paris as a subject, you could have made so much more out of it... nor does the music nor the graphics add anything to an at least halfway authentic feeling of paris... it feels as if it had been done without any joy... the game-play self is also disappointing, i never have had to use the hint-button so often as in this game... i remember that the Living Legends serie is also by this developer, hard to imagine... seems everything is going downhill nowadays.. oh, and what i really deeply did dislike: one of the mini-games was just taken from another game of the same producer... are they gettiing lazy??? And also, i do miss the man-detective's voice... so all in all - no game joy for me with this one.
after having replayed the game - i can only state that this game is a thousand times better than most of the games BFG releases lately. It has length, it has a wonderful story, it has extremely perfect graphics, it has wonderful music, it has everything a game needs... and which we lack so much these days... i wished there were more developers who do such perfect work!
I found this game well entertaining with nice mini-games and an interesting story and wonderful graphics, but i was kind of shocked, when it ended, it was a very, very short game in my opinion and i'm not used to CEs being that short... was a not really pleasant experience. But it is a good game, just too short.
