I enjoyed the game. It was not the greatest or the most challenging. The artwork was inconsistent at times richly detailed and others it felt like an afterthought. I got it with a game coupon which always makes me feel better!
Once upon a time in the small, undistinguished town of Silentville people started disappearing. Help uncover the mystery behind these disappearances and save the town from a curse!
I tried this game as a CE and could not get through the demo. I felt patronized. I do not like a game whose creator thinks I am a dimwitted dolt. Well a few months land many expiring game coupons later I decided to risk it. It was better than tolerable. I remembered what I had found enchanting about the first one or two in the series. I did also realize that I still did not really enjoy the insult to my intellect.
Is this game geared towards the 10 year old? It was o.k. but I am relieved they are wrapping up the series. I think the developers are better than this creation and I look forward to whatever else they come up with.
This game was fun. It was not the most complex but it offered many different scenes. I enjoyed the visuals, HOS and puzzles. It even seemed as if our friend James took a back seat in this game and became less annoying.
Deep in the heart of an enchanted forest, a forbidden love blooms. Guide the human Eveline as she sets out to rescue her beloved from the clutches of a tyrant.
I found the gameplay to be a little slow. You could not move faster than the computer allowed and that became a frustration. I also found the repetition of some tasks boring, i.e., stirring, chopping and distilling the potions.
The visuals were beautiful. Overall, I liked it and am glad that it was offered as an SE.
I liked this game. There were no voiceovers which was odd, since there was enough talking to warrant them. It might have boost the appeal. The game started off well enough but with each successive painting it got easier until there was no challenge at all.
I used a free game coupon and since there was not much of a selection of SE's for me, this is what I chose. It was o.k. for free!
There were a few glitches, thank goodness for the forum! Also, I did not think the Bonus Chapter held my enthusiasm the way the rest of the game had. Despite that it was a really good game.
I found the storyline to be confusing towards the end. There was not enough explanation as to how the guilty parties were related. It was so quick I almost missed it, I did not enjoy the Bonus as much for that reason. It was good but only told part of the story.
I recommend this game!

Dreampath: The Two Kingdoms Collector's Edition
Your sister, the Queen, has fallen deathly ill. Now you must travel to a faraway kingdom to find the cure.
It is a change not to play something so dark and creepy. This was light if not a bit juvenile. The Cat's accent was a bit affected and it became a distraction. All told though, I will admit to being entertained. The game was enjoyable.
When your daughter, Emily, is taken over by a mysterious force, you must travel to the Nightmare Realm to search for a cure. But nothing could have prepared you for what you find there…
I replayed this game and must admit I had forgotten the end completely. I was genuinely surprised! I was not as fond of the Bonus Chapter but as I said the end was worth it.
