It’s up to you, a descendant of the ancient emperor, to collect powerful artifacts and save the world. Dive into the whirlpool of thrilling mysteries to unlock the secrets of ancient power!
The game seems old. Technology has improved so much that I wondered at the jumpy screens and the poor voiceovers. If you move too fast the scene freezes momentarily. It was too annoying and too badly drawn to pique my interest past the demo.
I tried but I would not even waste a free game coupon on this.
I enjoyed the game. The visuals were appealing but the storyline was way too transparent. Like knowing the ending of a book before you get to it. That was disappointing but it was not a fatal flaw.
I enjoyed the main body of the is game. I loved the sheer size of it. The drawing was wonderful. I'll even go so far as to say that the credits were fun. I enjoy what the developers write about themselves or each other.
I did not enjoy the bonus chapter as much it just felt like the afterthought it was.
My problem came with the extras: Whatever I clicked on would load forever. I could not even get out of it with a command escape (mac) or force quit! For that reason I would suggest that mac users wait for the SE.
I loved the juxtaposition of what happens and what might have happened. The bonus was good too and led you to anticipate the future games from Lesta. I remember Nightmare Realms and recently replayed it.
Cinematography was excellent though a few of actors were a bit stiff. All told, this was one of the best games I've played in a while.
I recommend this game!

Beyond the Unknown: A Matter of Time Collector's Edition
It’s time to solve the secret of this mysterious island!
I could not get through the demo. It is poorly drawn and the voiceovers were subpar. Given that the game offered no challenge, I'd say my decision was made. This one will not even be worth it as an sE with a free game coupon!
A strange and deadly pollen is spreading around the world, and you’ve been hired to track down its source. But the secrets you discover in the fabled kingdom of Floralia are much darker than you imagined...
I think I would wait for the SE as I did not think that the Bonus chapter did anything but detract from the game. The only negative would be the squeaky voices of some characters which is minor. Some of the puzzles were to easy but the overall game was enjoyable.
Nothing is perfect and It would have been nice to be able to use the map to jump from one place to another since there was a lot of walking around.
Overall I loved the FROGS, they were beautifully drawn as was the entire game.
I was not as bothered by the flashing lights as I was by the size of the puzzles. If I tried to enlarge them by changing the resolution they became grainy and unappealing. Also, unlike many I found the music to be an annoyingly short loop. It was so repetitious I turned it off and turned on my own.
As for the pictures themselves. Some were so terrible that I wondered why they were included.
I am still playing it occasionally, or shall I say until something better comes along. I think that all of the developers must take vacations around the same time. Periodically every year there are lulls. This must be one of them, the World Cup perhaps?
I could not get through the demo. Everything was drawn so small. It was difficult to see. Some of the artwork was beautiful when up close but the room scenes seemed to lack definition because everything was so small.
Adding to that the game was slow to respond. I clicked and it took forever. I was ready to move on to something else but then a cutscene would appear. There were a lot of those in the short time I played.
