I must admit that even though I have heard of the Great Gatsby, I am not familiar with the story, have not read the book nor have I seen the movie, but having said that I thought that this game was an impressive and entertaining game. You are challenged with exploring cities like Long Island, New York and other places during the Roaring Twenties era. This included parties and gatherings where you dance the charleston and sip bootleg booze with a mysterious millionaire. The dialogue consists of frequent conversations with different characters which is tolerable and the music is of the era but does get a bit monotonous at times, playing the same tune over and over again. The graphics are quite clear bright and colourful. The puzzles are quite straight forward with typing words of a letter and other mini games. The hidden objects are many and varied. Your standard list of items to be found is the main feature but in every scene if you can locate a hidden book and find the hidden letters to a mystery word, more points will be gained to enhance the library with lots of trimmings and will earn more achievement awards. Several ingenious challenges require you to find hidden objects from a moving car. Quite a unique and impressive game, I liked it.

The plot in this game is that you have to help a detective crack the case and reveal the great mystery that lies beyond the high walls of the hotel and stop the evil that is rising from the grave of King Arthur. It started off quite plausibly, roaming through the rooms and cellars of the hotel but it then drifted off into fantasy several noted characters of history requiring some assistance from our heroine whose humour and some what sarcastic wit added to the thrill of the game. There is quite a bit of conversational dialogue as the game progresses, sometimes I felt it went just a tad overboard and was a little too much but it was needed to add to the understanding of the game. The graphics were quite good, clear and colourful and some of the puzzles were just a bit challenging and needed a bit of nutting out, but were mainly quite good. The hidden objects were not your usual piles of junk but a collection of items needed for the game. A good and interesting change of pace and style.
I recommend this game!

I thought this game was quite a good middle of the road type game, not really easy and not diabolically challenging. The story line was not as far fetched as some these days but just a reasonable who dunnit type of story. An F.B.I. agent's partner has been found dead and the police suspect suicide but sinister dealings have been uncovered at the Ryde Corporation. Claire has to find the truth. The voice over dialogue is good and informative and not overly done. Most of the graphics are good and clear but with some darker areas and sections. Some of the puzzles do not contain adequate instructions and details are a bit vague. A couple needed reference to the strategy guide and some others were skipped but most were able to be solved without too much trouble. The hidden objects scenes were plentiful and were the main structure of the game. Cards needed to be found which in turn triggered a hidden object scene with either a standard list of things to find or items to be found in silhouette. Most were fairly simple to locate with just a few needing a hint. I did not agree with some of the negative reviews as I think it deserved better than that but then every one is entitled to their oppinion.

This game had the potential to be a great game, but it turned out to be a disappointing and discouraging one. You are charged with finding Captain Nemo's ship, the Nautilus with the added help of the captain himself. I doubt if Jules Verne would have enjoyed this game as it is a far cry from his exciting story - 20000 leagues under the sea. The dialogue and the Captain's assistance is just enough to let you know what is happening, and what to do next. The graphics are reasonably clear if at best somewhat dark in many scenes. A big disappointment and the main distraction of this game was the slowness of the change over between scenes, the cogs could have turned much faster. The hidden object scenes of which there many were some what dark as most were underwater, and the objects were very hard to identify let alone locate. A few were quite simple but others, small, obscure and well hidden and blended into the background too well. The puzzles, most of which were different did not give enough information of what was required to solve them, sometimes I got lucky, some I worked out easily but others I had to skip or check the walkthrough blog. I enjoyed this game in the beginning but as it dragged on slowly I almost couldn't wait for it to finish. In my opinion - could have been a lot better. I only just recommend it with a bare 3 stars.

This game, to me, was a pleasant distraction and alternative experience from the latest difficult and really challenging games that are around these days. It was interesting without being too envolved. Dr Artifact is called on for his help by several people to have their mysterious items examined by his unique equipment to solve three separate but related phases of a mysterious plot which has rather a surprising finale. There is quite a bit of dialogue to read through but it is necessary for the understanding of the story line. There are two modes to play - easy and normal, I played normal and found it relatively straight-forward. The graphics were clear, clean, bright and colourful. The hidden objects were of the standard type and also multiple items required to assemble into one part. All were reasonable simple to locate without too much difficulty. The puzzles were rather unique and different but were reasonably easy to solve, some required a little more nous. I enjoyed it - a relaxing, pleasant and not too much taxing of the old grey cells.

This game although not as difficult as some games, meandered through at a leisurely pace without much pressure on the old grey cells. Melissa, an ex cat burgular had taken a false itentity in an effort to start a new life without crime, but she has just learned that her son has been kidnapped so to find and rescue him she has to revert back to her dubious previous career. The voice over dialogue is somewhat of a pleasure as it eliminates the need to read all the script. The graphics are good clear and colourful with minimal darker areas which enables the hidden objects to be located without too much stress. The hidden objects are of two types - the standard searching for items in amongst the usual piles of paraphernalia and the conglomerate pieces which are required to make one single item which in turn forms part of that scene. The puzzles are all various different ways to unlock a vault and are all rather ingenious and intriguing. There are also some puzzles which require the elimination of people in a room to locate one individual by following the instructions given. All in all a good game - I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the money.

The gist of the game is that you need to search for Oliver Hook's treasure by searching all over the world and exploring many different scenes. The dialogue is written in large print so that it is easy to read and it is not excessive. The graphics are reasonably good and clear with just a few dark areas in some scenes. The puzzles are reasonably simple but each type is fairly repetitive, like moving and placing coins and jewels in chests, jigsaw type puzzles, finding the differences by comparing two pictures either side by side, mirror image or inverted, which is the most challenging and joining ropes. After a while the spot the difference puzzles become a bit of a pain. The hidden objects in most cases are reasonably easy to find but some need a bit more scrutiny and others are quite difficult to find in the dark areas. You can also look for valuables in each scene to add to your score. A good pleasant and relaxing game for all ages.
I recommend this game!

While travelling on a train a friend of Miss Marple witnessed a horrible murder on a train travelling in the opposite direction, but no one would believe her except, of course, Miss Marple. Find out who the killer is and also discover the identity of the victim. You have three opportunities to identify the killer before Miss Marple finally reveals her conclusions at the end of the game. The dialogue is just enough to keep you informed of what is happening, and the music is quite pleasant. The graphics are pleasant, clear, bright and colourful. The puzzles although a little repedative are good and require the need of a few grey cells to solve. Rummaging through stuff to find objects, discovering what poison was used, rearranging strips of paper to reveal a letter and more. The hidden objects were reasonably easy to find but some did present a few problems and some of the smaller items did require a hint. All in all a very satisfying, interesting and enthralling game, well worth the money.

I wonder where the light in most scenes went, I wonder where the decent graghics are, I wonder what the story line was all about, I wonder how you are supposed to find all the hidden objects in the dark, I wonder where the decent puzzles went and I wonder who could produce such a poor game. The dialogue is rambling, the graphics are dark, dingy and shodowy at best, the puzzles are uninteresting. and many of the hidden objects have nothing what-so-ever to do with the era portrayed in this game. Most are so small that they are not distinguishable in the darkened gloom of most scenes. I found this game to be tedious, tiring and traumatic and I would not recommend any one spending their hard earned money on this one. I managed to play for about an hour hoping it would improve - it did not, it only made me more frustrated. This one is not for me.

A guy had to discover the secrets of his forefathers past to fulfill his legacy. Doesn't sound that interesting and it wasn't. The dialogue was of an explanatory nature and started off to be an unusual game. That is about where the good bits end. The game itself was slow to react and slow to proceed from one scene to another. The graphics were reasonably clear but it was trying to identify the various hidden objects in amongst a conglomeration of clutter made items extremely difficult to locate. The puzzles were reasonably simple once you found out what was required. I only managed to play the game for about half and hour before I quit and I think that was long enough. In my opinion don't waste your money on this one.
