You are trapped in an abandoned mountain village by a rock slide and you must find pieces of a puzzle map that will lead you out of whisper valley. If you do not like pure hidden object games then this game is not for you. I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it very addictive, I could hardly leave it - wanting to know where it is all leading, and what the big escape whould be at the end. There was very little dialogue only just to explain what is required in each puzzle. The graphics were just a tad darkish in some places but otherwise quite good and clear. The puzzles consisted mainly of rotating pieces to form a completed picture, jigsaw puzzles, find a word and shuffle puzzles all of which were quite easy and did not present much of a problem. The hidden objects of which there were over 2000 were fairly easy to find and I was able to find three and four items at once to acquire speed bonus points which as the game progressed was more of an obsession to try and achieve. You were also awarded 25,000 points for not using hints, which I also managed to do very often. After each chapter, of which there were 25 you were awarded a puzzle piece which led you to another puzzle to enable you to find your way out. My total score was well over 10,000,000 points so I was happy with that. Very addictive enthralling and competitave game which I feel was well worth my money.

This game had a few refreshingly different aspects about it in as much that you are a researcher for National Geographic and you must uncover clues that reveal smuggling operations surrounding three related criminal businesses, expose the ring leaders, bring the culprits to justice and write a report. The dialogue is topical and interesting with factual snippets. The graphics are clear bright and colourful in the first couple of cases but do darken considerably in the last case. The puzzles are similar to other games but the recreating of pictures is a tad challenging, spotting the differences are reasonable, discovering similar or pared items could be a bit hard and the intermittent requirement of answering questions could be a bit challenging if you haven't paid attention to the facts given. The hidden objects are mostly quite simple to locate but as the game proceeds and the scenes get darker then the objects are that much harder to find. The hunting for batteries for recharging hints, looking for coins and gems to increase your score is an added attraction together with the icons that reveal interesting facts about the case. Well recommended and well worth the money.

Find out who killed a famed writer who was supposedly killed in a freak snow storm and who has come to you to help him find out who is responsible for his demise. Uncover mad rumors of witchcraft and ghosts to unravel the secrets of the Salem witch trials. The dialogue consists of the questioning the characters with pre determined dialogue and speaking to the ghosts to help you get the gist of the games progress. This is not too excessive. Most scenes are quite dark but clear, often punctuated with flashes of colour and lots of noise when various points are triggered during the game. The puzzles, most of which are quite ingenious and very challenging but with very limited if any at all help makes them that much harder to solve. Others are reasonably easy. The hidden objects are mostly surprisingly easy to find in the gloom but some are a bit more difficult. Find more crows to get more hints and collect clovers to unlock the bonus game. Well worth the money as it is a intriguing, interesting and challenging game.

You have entered a new life as a vampire with no memories of your past and now you must avoid the vampire hunters before you can continue your new life or arise from the dead. The written dialogue is adequate enough to guide you through the game as each individual character plays their own role in the drama and relates their own case. During the game you have a choice of which destiny you wish to follow but I have no idea if the one chosen is the "correct" one or not. Maybe you need to play it twice to find out. The graphics are clean and clear but as most scenes are at night time they could tend to get a tad dark. There are a number of elements which will help you traverse different paths to take, like a bat for flying, the sun for the outside walk, together with mist, magic and force all will add another dimension to the game. There are not the usual puzzles or hidden objects but they are somewhat combined. The Hidden objects consist of activating red blots to reveal a conglomerate hidden object which needs several pieces scattered over various locations to complete and then it takes part in another item which will eventually open another door or section. This in itself is the puzzle. The hint button which will be used a good deal in quite slow to replenish.

I thought this was a very good adventure / hidden object game with plenty to do. There is a lot of back tracking between scenes to find items that are needed to complete a previous scene and so progress through the game. After a cursed Pharaoh traps a whole family in a newly opened museum, you have to play as each member of the family to navigate the spooky tomb and eventually free them all.The voice overs are great at narrating the written dialogue which saves a lot of reading. The graphics are clear and colourful and there is a handy notification when each scene is cleared and each level is completed. The puzzles are quite simple and mainly straightforward but a few require a bit more thinking. The maze is rather challenging. The hidden objects are reasonably clear and most of them are easy to locate. Only a couple required a hint. I only used the walkthrough blog a couple of times. All in all a very satisfying and interesting game. Worth the money to buy.

This game I found to be a good enthralling straightforward game with nothing out of the ordinary and nothing really challenging about it. Kathy must solve the mystery of strange symbols that are appearing all over the world and she must follow the trail of clues and riddles to uncover the mystery of the runes and the Eye of Odin. The dialogue which is all written - no voice overs - seems a little tedious at times but having said that, none can be sucessfully withdrawn without distracting from the continuity of the game. The graphics are very well drawn, clear, precise and colourful with the exception of one or two scenes which are just a tad dark in places. The puzzles, for want of a more simpler word are not that challenging, eg following shapes with the cursor, memorising sequences to send text messages and the taking of pictures of various positions of a scene, other than that there is not much else. The hidden objects, of which there are many, are the usual conglomeration of junk piles but most of the items present some challenge to locate. A good interesting game without being too stressful or challenging - just relaxing fun.

This was a good enjoyable game - just a little bit different from most other hidden object games. Amelie wins a free ticket on the maiden voyage on the luxurious Seawind but as she settles in for a week of relaxation all the other passengers and crew disappear and she has to discover why before it is too late. The dialigue is all written - no voice overs - and is just enough to be instructional as to what is happening and what to do next. The graphics are very good and clear and colourful while the ship is in 'present' mode but gets markedly darker as the 'derelict' mode takes over. The puzzles are quite simple really but the using of the light globes to discover rooms and cabins on a plan of the ships decks was quite different and somewhat challenging but enjoyable none the less. The hidden objects were pretty straightforward and didn't present much of a drama and together with the 'soul' gizmo device which allowed you to see other objects which were invisible without it, was a different and intriguing diversion to the game. Very enjoyable and money well spent.

This would have to be the worst game that I have played and there was not one thing that I liked about it. The plot - after the first few minutes - who cares - not interested. The dialogue was far too much - at the beginning of each chapter reading, reading, reading, boring, boring, boring, at the begining of each hidden object scene which seemed very few and far between, reading, reading - boring, boring. The music, not that I paid too much attention to it, I think was O.K. The graphics dark, dingy and unclear, the hidden objects very hard to find in amongst the gloom and also are rather small making them even more difficult to find. The puzzles - what puzzles. There were only a few find the differences that I found but as I only went as far as chapter 4 before I gave up. It showed no signs of improving. My advice - don't waste your money, not impressed.

I really enjoyed this game as it was quite different than most of the usual hidden object- adventure games of these days. After Robinson Crusoe and Friday escape from an inhabited island they sail for Brazil where they encounter a voodoo curse on an uncharted island in the middle of the ocean. The dialogue is adequate whithout going over the top and the background music is quite catchy. The graphics are very well drawn and quite clear and colourful but there are a few dark patches in some scenes. The hidden objects come in two parts - firstly you have to assist each character by finding 10 or 12 or so items he requires then secondly a standard list of hidden objects, some of which are in blue. The 10 or so items and the standard hidden objects do not present a great deal of a problem but the items in blue require a bit more thinking and working out which make this part a little more challenging. Most of the puzzles are pretty simple but on the other hand some are quite complicated especially when the help key does not adequately provide enough information to give you an idea of what is required. It is because of this fact that I have only given this game 4 stars where 4 1/2 would have been more appropriate.

This games promo advertised the fact that it had romantic overtones but at the start this was not at all evident. You have to help Dela solve the puzzles of an accient riddle box that had imprisoned a 7 foot warrior for 2000 years and overcome various attempts to thwart her gaining the big fellas freedom. This game contains lots of character voice overs and written dialogue as well. It was only in about the middle of the game when things started getting really mushy. All this reading about smoochy stuff is for the shelias it is not my type of game. I have written this review without having completing the game because it has started to turn me right off. I may go on and finish it at a later date. The graphics are not that clear and are a bit hazy but most of the drawings are fairly well distinguishable. This makes most of the hidden objects quite difficult to find in the shadows. The puzzles require some thought but you can buy hints if and when they are needed. Started off o.k. but then deteriated rather rapidly.
