The title suggested an adventure - there was no adventure, no plot, no story and really no point to the game at all. the music was dull and dreary just like the graphics. There was far to many and too much reading of note books, charts and folders. I gave up reading all these very early in the game. The game was tied down with hidden object scene after hidden object scene interdispersed with the occasional spot the difference or the spasmodic inclusion of a jigsaw puzzle. The hidden objects were, in most cases, very hard to find and discern amongst the dark and dingy backgrounds and the spot the differences were just as small and difficult to find. Lets face it, I don't mind a challenge at all, but as this game limped to its conclusion it became more boring and unteresting. I would suggest that even the most avid of hidden object gamers give this game a miss.
I don't recommend this game.

A police chief has been kidnapped and the second in charge has been promoted to handle the case. His mother hears about the mafia involved intrigue and flies to italy the assist her son Sam in his investigations. This is actually a light hearted adventure of a mother taking on the Italian Mafia in a foreign country. Not feasible but a good yarn. The dialogue was just enough to be a guide through the game and did not tie it down. The graphics were good, clean, clear and colourful and the puzzles were not that hard to find but had to be searched over two or three adjoining scenes which involved a bit of a challenge. The puzzles and mini games were reasonably simple and digestive. Overall a good lighthearted interesting game well worth a try.
I recommend this game!

This game is purely a hidden object game, simple, with a basic story line and a slower pace. Olivia is challenged to renovate various houses and properties after first clearing away loads of junk, it is a pity there was not more challenge in the game itself. The dialogue was reasonable, possibly a bit childish, and the music was a bit repedative and partly drowned out the voice overs, luckily the reading was a backup of what was occurring but all was a bit tiresome. The graphics were very bright, clear and colourful probably the best aspect of the game, and the hidden objects provided a bit of a challenge as some were small and well hidden but could be located with a bit of close attention. The puzzles and mini games were virtually non existent except for choosing paint colours, fittings and furniture from a choice of three, hardly any of which were really great choices. If you are looking for a game which is solely hidden objects and precious little else then this is the game for you. I enjoyed the change of pace and the H.os but it was not one of the best,
I recommend this game!

Excellent - Fantastic - Magnificent. Big Fish and ERS must be congratulated on an overwhelming presentation of Green hills Sanitarium. The Collectors Edition games are definately a cut above the rest in that the inbuilt strategy guide in this game is a great help.
Tim has been on an assignment in the assylum after hearing of unfavourable reports about the place and was sent to investigate, but letters to his girlfriend ceased abruptly causing her to go to the sanitarium and try to locate Tim. Along the way she has to save several of the unfortunate residents of their fears.
The dialogue is basically non existant save for a few lines of guidance and explanation when clicking on objects and tasks and when the unfortunate victims are saved from their fears. The graphics are what you would expect in a haunted
and decrepit, derelict and dingy establishment and are surprisingly clear, precise and well detailed. The puzzles and mini games are generally challenging and inventive and most take a bit nutting out but are mainly based on logic, and once you get the gist of what is required, seems to fall into place. The hidden objects are of a mixed bag, simple to a bit of searching to some quite hard to find.
I thought this game was excellent and challenging as I had to refer to the Strategy guide frequently to make sure that I stayed on track. It is extremely easy to just wander off, then find that you can go no further because you have missed a vital piece of a puzzle or missed visiting a room with a necessary item. Thoroughly recommend this game, a good buy.

In this game you are an apprentice who finds yourself on a magical island and after walking through a magical portal, which closes behind you, it is imperative that several vital runes are found so you can escape. There is not much dialogue to distract you and the use of the map is a great help as more parts are revealed as the game progresses. It shows which parts of the island need more work and more things do do. The graphics are of a high quality and are clear, clean and colourful and very well done. The puzzles and mini games are different and quite ingenious and a few need some extra nutting out, but the magic notes are a big help. Most of the the hidden objects are quite easy to find but a few are a little more troublesome to locate. This game, as it progressed became more and more engrossing,
entertaining and addictive and I found it very hard to stop.
Well worth the money.

I found this game quite a good game but I feel the time taken between scenes and rooms detracted from the enjoyment and the continuity. Some of the scenes appeared to have darker places which made a good deal of the hidden objects hard to locate or discern, but others were no problem finding. A few of the puzzles and mini games were quite tricky and required a bit of nous to figure out, but others were a pleasure to play and very entertaining. I feel that the only aspect of this game preventing me giving four or even five stars, was the time lapse between scenes which was quite frustrating.
I recommend this game!

This game starts at Mt Olympus where a goddess has to overcome challenges and use unique powers to assemble artifacts and to eventually achieve immortality. There is just enough dialogue to instruct you through the game and the graphics which are not that good being hand drawn but are passable and reasonably easy to discern. the puzzles and mini games are simply and not very involved but the block puzzles are a bit more challenging. The matching pairs puzzles are quite unique and differently depicted. Finding the hidden objects requires looking for pieces of the items listed and to assemble these objects to trigger another part of the game. Some are very well hidden whilst others are easliy spotted while still others require a spell to reveal them.
A very entertaining and engrossing game which I thoroughly recommend.

Not a very encouraging game. Hand drawn scenes very undistinctive hidden oblects. Looks more like a childs kindergarten project rather than a professionally orchestrated game from Big Fish. This game, although child like with fairies etc is way too difficult for a child to identify or percieve the hidden objects and that is about all this game is. Not for me, I wouldn't waste my money on it.
I don't recommend this game.

I quit playing this game after about 10 minutes. Poorly drawn and seemed uninteresting to me. Maybe I should have given it more time but I just could't be bothered. It seemed to be getting nowhere. Guiding a character around with the mouse or keyboard meeting other people but it did nothing. Not for me.
I don't recommend this game.

Sassy and somewhat spoilt Princess Loreen and Brassy and kind of brash Prince Nathaniel are kidnapped and held prisoners in a dungeon. Each one insists that they do not need or want each others help in trying to escape but soon learn that they must work together if their escape is to be successful. There is quite a bit of dialogue but it is needed to progress through and explain some of the intricasies that occur along the way. The graphics are good clear and colourful even if the characters are somewhat cartoonish in appearance the rest is drawn quite well. The hint book is a great idea and provides help in stages and enables you to try and proceed by yourself and if you get stuck can refer to the next step. The puzzles and minigames are not exceptionally difficult and some are easier than others but most are rather ingenious and clever. The hidden objects are not your usual piles of junk but entail looking for pieces of items to help each character progress through the labyrinth of problems and dangers facing our Royal couple in their endeavours to escape. A good game which ends as expected.
I recommend this game!
