I demoed the CE version and didn't feel that it was CE worthy, so didn't buy it. However, this is a nice SE game for a change. I have the others in the series and liked them.
Graphics are nice, really like the voice overs, game play good, nice jump map, locking inventory is good. Didn't care for the unnecessarily huge ballerina hint. Hint system worked well and filled fairly quickly. Guess I will have to start the game over to see what the fortune cookies are all about..didn't run across anything (maybe only in the CE version#. Anyway, I did enjoy it enough to get the SE game to see where it is going #pretty self-explanatory really).
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews.

Yep, I have the other two in this series and really liked them both. I was about 30 minutes into this one and decided to not even finish the demo...I bought it! Now for the review....I don't give 5 stars easily, but this one is worth at least 4.5...maybe 4.75.
Very nice game play. Graphics a bit fuzzy, but not bad. It sort of fits the setting. Nice voice overs (always a plus in any game#, nice jump map #needed because you visit scenes multiple times). Games are not difficult but fun. I like the change up in the HOGs. You can either play the HOG or go to the memory game...very fun.
You find puzzle pieces and morphing objects which keeps the game interesting. The Imp is back and silly as he is, he is fun. Music is nice. The game is pretty quiet as far as sound FX are concerned. Nice helpful SG. Even though the SG shows only 3 chapters, it looks like it is a fairly long game. Hint system is good and has a better than average recovery time.
This is a game that I feel will appeal to all level of players. It is fun and relaxing. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews.

I loved the other two love story games, but this one is quite different. Yes, this is a "chick flick" game, or as I call it "for the romantic at heart." Nice graphics and game play. Extremely quiet game, very few sound FX and no voice overs, which completely make a game. I miss the little old lady's voice. HOGs are simple, yet some areas are very dark and have hard to see items. A lot of running back and forth and completeing the same HOG more than once. HOGs are a bit different in that you have to find and put together parts of an item to complete it...fun.
Hint system is not very helpful, as it doesn't actually give you a hint as to where to go or what to do, unless you are in the correct area. Then the hearts that show you where to go are very light and easy to miss. Hint fills about average.
Since the face is different, I "assume" that this is a whole new story. Nice different location. This is a very nice game for a day when you just want peace and quiet in your life...this one is very quiet.
I am not especially kicked out about this game, but because I am a hopeless romantic, I will use a credit and add this one to my collection of love stories. It is not a bad game, just not up to the higher standards of the first two.

Not a bad game at all. Graphics were a bit old school in color and clarity, but nice. Game play nice. HOGS simple and items easy to find..need to find one extra item to complete. Music okay, nice voice over, sound FX okay but can be annoying at times. Games simple, but do take a little thought. Hint system helpful, but takes longer than most to refill.
You have extras to find in this game and a lot of achievements to complete, so it keeps you on your toes. Does have a jump map, which is quite helpful since you return to the same areas a lot and the same HOGs. The game is not particularly challenging, but would probably appeal to all level of players. The book is "the funny guy."
As I said, this is not a bad game, but for some reason I do not feel it is CE worthy. It did not make me want to run out and get it to see what happens. It is pretty easy to figure out the story line and where it was going. Looking at the number of chapters, it seems like a fairly long game. I'm not sure I will get this as an SE, or wait for a "special" and get if as the CE. Have to put this one in my puddle and think on it a bit longer.

Why do I keep buying CEs when they first come out rather than waiting for the "specials?" Yep, already got the other three. As usual, ERS has done it again with exceptional graphics and game play. Very nice voice overs. Games not difficult. I like the change up with the HOGs..very nice (play to see what I'm talking about). Music nice. Sound FX nice. Hint system is helpful but slow recovery. Nice SG, stays on last page when you leave and come back.
Minor dislikes. Yes, the creepy little guy is back. Didn't care for the location of the jump map, ledger and such. Everything was too cramped together and easy to hit the wrong item. Odd looking cat face. Looked like the cat from Alice in Wonderland...weird. Again, dev does not show all the chapters, so you can't guess how long the game is. ERS games are usually fairly long though.
All that being said, my time went quickly and even though I have sworn off CE games, I find the need to buy this one to see how it plays out. Besides, I want to add it to my HL collection.

Interesting and different. In my family, you are either in law enforcement or the medical field so I have always been interested in a good mystery. Graphics are old school but good. Game play is good, music okay. HOGs fairly clear, although some areas are very dark, and items you find are appropriate to game play. This game could use voice overs.
Did not care for the hint system, as it is not helpful. Don't tell me there is nothing to do here, I already know that, why do you think I'm asking for a hint! Hint fills quickly, although not very helpful when you really need it.
Not a lot of instruction within the game, so you stumble around figuring things out by clues...sometimes that doesn't work either. Guess that's why they call it a mystery. This is a not a challenging game, but I did find it fun for a change. Yes, there are dead bodies and I wouldn't play this with small children around, but it was not "messy." Demo went quickly and I think I need to know how this one plays out. Off to use a credit on this one.

And what are we doing here? This game was very confusing to me. No real story, or at least, a good story. The graphics aren't too bad, but could be much better. Game play is good, music okay. Games extremely easy. HOGs not bad, but simple.
There is no real challenge to this game. I was really looking forward to a good CE for a change, but it didn't happen with this one. This is more for a "real" beginner. I found it to be a bit boring for me. Short and too the point today. Nothing else I can say about it...too bad. No buy for me either.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may find this one quite enjoyable.
I don't recommend this game.

Well, I must be one of the few with this game. I have no problem with filling my screen, never have. I have the other two games in this series and really enjoyed them. This game is very much the same, but aren't they all. Nice graphics and game play. There is a click penalty (something I haven't seen for quite some time#. Games are simple. HOGs are not bad, although the color is a bit washed out. Items are not difficult to find. Hint system is helpful and fills fairly quickly. Voice overs are nice and appropriate for the scene.
Nothing new in the story line. The little animal is cute and cuddly, but we need something more. No, this game is not really challenging and there are no real extras to find. I don't count the coins as an extra. Down graded rating only because of that.
I don't care for the fact that the dev does not show how many chapters there are in a game, which usually makes me think it is short #almost always is). I too do not care for, nor do I want concept art, wallpaper and screensavers. I don't want them, I don't need them and I don't care to pay for them. If I'm going to pay for extra, give me extra game play..a lot of it.
All that being said, I did enjoy the game and will add it to my collection, only because I have a free CE credit just sitting around doing nothing. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews.

Yes, the items are small and the extras are more difficult to see than in the other BCA games, but I like them. Straight HOGs, with nothing special, but are very long and worth the price. Graphics aren't bad, music is the same as in all the others (I have them all). Games are the same, but they have thrown in a couple of new ones. Game play is very nice. Hint system is nice and fill quickly.
Still don't like the blurry postcards between scenes. This is not a particularly challenging game, but it is relaxing and a nice change from the spooky, scary stuff we see on a regular basis. This game would appeal to all level of players. As I said, I have them all and have enjoyed every one of them.
The "extra" item you need to find (and all these games have them in some form or another), is extremely difficult to find in some areas. All that said, I have purchased this game and added it to my Big City collection.

Hmm, not too sure about this one. Graphics aren't bad, but nothing special, and a bit old school (the red guy looks like a kids drawing of a red ghost#. Game play is nice. Music was very annoying and not at all helpful to the story line or scenery, so had to turn it way down. HOGs are fairly clean and items are very easy to find. Didn't care for the placement or the set up of the SG, very plain and very cryptic. Hint is helpful and fills quickly.
There are a lot of achievements in this one and a lot of items to find #not sure what they do for you, but you find them anyway). This game is quite simple and there is no challenge at all. It is a nice game for a beginner, or someone who just needs to spend a credit or lose it. I do not see that this game is CE worthy at all. Not sure I would even spend a credit for it either. This one just did nothing for me and I had no desire to buy it to see what happens.
