Yep, you guessed it...a nice special and I already have the other 4 in the series. These are really nice games, put together well and fun to play. Graphics and game play are very good. Music is nice, and I didn't even turn it down like usually do. HOGs are clean and simple, nothing is hard to find. Games are not difficult, but take a little thought to complete. Nice voice overs, which always make a game for me. Hint fills fairly quickly and is very helpful. Excellent SG (I especially like that they list all the chapters#.
Elf dog is back and he has a very cute family with him. You can use coins you gather to buy them items, which is a bit of fun. You can also use the coins to buy other things, but I didn't get that far, so don't quite know what that is all about. You need to find animals again, which is different and fun for me...makes me pay more attention to each scene.
As I said, I have the other 4 and really liked them all. This one is no exception. It is not extremely challenging, but it hooked me in and kept my attention for the entire demo #I had 18 minutes left when time ran out). Yes, I'm still off CE games, but dang it, I have the need to add this one to my collection and see where it goes. Definite buy for me.
I do not give 5 stars easily or often, but this one comes very close. I think this game will appeal to all levels of players.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews.
I recommend this game!

I did not recommend the CE version..did not feel it was CE worthy. However, after playing this again, I have found this to be an interesting game. Graphics and game play are very nice. Music and sound FX are very nice and appropriate for the scenery and setting. HOGs are clean and clear. Games are not simple and take some thought to complete. Voice overs are well done and make a game far more enjoyable for me.
There is a lot of running back and forth to the same location and HOG, but there is a map that is quite helpful and indicates where there is something that needs to be done. The hint system is very helpful, but does not fill quickly (60 seconds seems like a long time). The story is a little vague, but you get more information as you play more of the game. The game is not simple, but challenging enough to keep me interested. I still do not feel that this is CE worthy, even with the special today, but the SE is worth a credit and I am going to use one for this game. I have the need to see where this one is going and how I get there.

Wow, interesting game! Graphics were nothing special, nice game play. Music not bad but got old real fast. HOGs were quite different and fun, but take some time to complete. There is a lot of running around, while trying to figure out your next move.
Did not care for the skip button. Found myself getting anxious when I couldn't figure out where to go or what to do and the hint was not charged. You can buy extra items, but they didn't make much sense to me. The instructions at the beginning of the game were not very helpful. This game definitely needs a walkthrough! You have way too many things going on at the same time, so you really need to pay attention.
I did not dislike this game, but it was frustrating. You need a lot of patience and an orderly mind for this one, which I usually have, but I don't have it today. I will put this one in my puddle and wait to see if there is a WT coming.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may find this one to be exactly what you wanted today. Thanks for the reviews.

Nice game today. Graphics and game play are very good. I really liked the jungle atmosphere, realism and sound FX. HOGs were clean and not difficult to find items (switches between straigh HOG and silhouette). Games were not extremely difficult but do take some thought and a bit of time on some. You have a choice of cursors to use, which is really great...and they actually work as they should!
Liked that you could click through the dialogue, since I read faster than they talk. There isn't really much in the way of dialogue in this game, so other than the sound FX, it is pretty quiet. There are morphing objects, which I like, but they are not as easy to see as you think.
This is a nice game, as I said, but something is missing. There isn't much action, but there is a lot of running back and forth to the same location and scene, so put on your tennis shoes. Yes, missing brother and you are there to save him and everyone else, but the location makes it an interesting story. Even though I have sworn off CE games, I may have to get this one during the great sale and see where it goes (I'm sure I know already). Going to give the other game that came out today a try first...I may get them both.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews.

As usual, another special for a series I already have...except for this one of course. Yes, I have the first two and liked them both. This one is a bit different Don't much care for the combination of real and animated people, but not badly done.
I always demo on easy mode, so here it goes. Not much in the way of instructions on this game. Does not tell you that you have extras to find within the game. I just accidentally found them. There is a lot of shoe leather used in this game, as you frequently return to the same location and HOG. Good thing there is a jump map! Naturally, it only shows two chapters, which I don't care for...I want to see how many we have to look forward to.
Game play was good, music not too bad, graphics the same as the other two games. Games were simple and not "brain" taxing. HOGs simple and straight forward. Some items very small and hard to see, but mostly not bad. Had some sparkles that weren't HOGs, just sort of there for no reason. Nice, helpful hint system that fills quickly. SG was very nice as well.
Story line seemed as though something was missing. Maybe it was the lack of direction or instruction, but the story was different. I believe you weren't being transports back in time, but back into a movie. At least that's what I thought.
This game was not spectacular, nor was it particularly challenging, but I do find myself wanting to see it to the end. Yes, I have sworn off CE games, so I will put this one in my puddle and hold for the SE, unless there is a really good special on CE games coming up.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may find this one to be exactly what you are looking for. Thanks for the reviews.

Pretty much the same review as what I gave for the CE version. Graphics aren't bad, but nothing special, and a bit old school. Game play is nice. Music was very annoying. HOGs are fairly clean and items are very easy to find. Hint is helpful and fills quickly.
There are a lot of achievements in this one and a lot of items to find (not sure what they do for you, but you find them anyway). This game is quite simple and there is no challenge at all. It is a nice game for a beginner, or someone who just wants a no brainer day, which I do occasionally. I wasn't excited about the CE and really haven't changed my mind about the SE. To me, it is just too boring and I lost interest in playing any further, so no buy for me.
A game has to be extremely bad for me not to recommend to others. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may find this one quite enjoyable. Thanks for the reviews.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Well, I'm about to fall off the boat (not the wagon# again and purchase my 2nd CE this week! Yes, I have sworn off CE games, but I think I need this one. I have the first Stray Souls and really liked that one.
Graphics and game play are very nice. Like the voice overs and really nice sound FX. Haven't used the map yet, but the hint system is very helpful and fills quickly #faster than the 30 seconds it says it does#. Games are very easy so far. HOGs are not bad #only ran across 2 during demo)...needs more HOGs.
I really, really do not care for the SG at all. I don't like just pictures, give me written instructions and a picture of the most important instruction only, not every little step. Too many pictures just make a mess and this one is definitely a mess. Very disappointing. As I said, the hint system is very helpful.
This game is not all that challenging, but keeps you entertained and sort of picks up where the first one left off. The clown is really creepy, and I like clowns. It would greatly benefit from a little something extra, like morphing objects, or finding something special along the way. If it weren't for the special this weekend, I probably would have waited for the SE, but I am purchasing this one to add to my collection.

Happy 4th fellow pond pals! I have the first Fierce Tales and really liked that one. Waiting a year for the second in the series was worth the wait. Very nice graphics and game play. Music nice (which is saying a lot for me since I usually turn it way down). Voice overs, scenery and sound FX are very well done and appropriate for the setting.
I didn't use the hint, so I don't know how that works yet. SG is very helpful and easy to follow. I like the way the SG tells you which area to return to and not just "go back four, turn left and forward two." Naturally, the jump map is awesome (perfect set up) and most appreciated since you do re-visit areas often. I like the change up in HOG vs silhouettes and the need to find items. Items are not as easy to find as you may think..you really have to look hard for quite a few, but at least the SG shows you where they are in case you miss them. The games are not extremely difficult, but do take some time and thought to complete.
The only "minor" complaint I have is that the HOGs are a bit messy. There is a lot of background junk that just clutters the screen. Oh yes, and not listing all the chapters in the game. It's the little things that count, but I am not down-grading this one because of it. Anyway, with the special today, I am getting this one and another that I have been holding on to (both CE's), even though I have sort of sworn off CE games. I do not give 5 stars easily, but this one is well worth the money today and I personally feel this will appeal to all level of players!

Well, I am no big fan of straight adventure games, I much prefer the combo games, which are far more interesting. However, I am always willing to give something new a try. That said, this was not a bad game. Quite old in graphics and movements (reminded me of the first Tomb Raider game). Music was a bit annoying. Nice voice over. Fighting the creepy little guy was weird and silly and seemed out of place for some reason.
There was no instruction, you just went right into the game, which really throws you off. Hint isn't much of a hint and fills very slowly. Yes, the first woman she meets is quite familiar (I won't give you the name and spoil the guess for you), but she dresses better and has a much higher pitch voice. I did not like the constant "quotes" that show up between every scene, but I think you can turn that off. They really don't have anything to do with the game that I can see.
I am sure there are those who will find this game exactly what they want, but I am not one of them. No buy for me today. I very seldom do not recommend a game, but this is one of them.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may find this one quite enjoyable. Thanks for the reviews.

This must be a new dev..or at least, I have never seen this one before. This is not a spectacular game, but..... The lead into the game is quite long, a lot of cut scenes and talking, but you can click through it (I can read faster than they can talk). The voice overs are nice and appropriate for the scene and setting. Graphics aren't bad, but a bit old school and fuzzy in some places. Game play is nice, music is soothing and not the usual high pitch sounds you get with a lot of Chinese music. The story line is a little different, but the same (I know, that doesn't make sense to anyone but me#.
HOGs are quite simple and they do change from straight HOG to silhouette and to Majong #I think that's what it is). Games are quite simple. Did not care for the healing kit - too simple, too boring. Needed more of a challenge.
SG nice, hint system helpful and fills about average length. Please devs, when you can get rid of a "custom cursor," then get rid of it completely, don't just make it smaller! You can lock the inventory bar (I like that). There are 41 cranes to find and they are not difficult to see. There is a jump map, which is very helpful since you do return to the same location numerous times.
This is not a challenging game, but it was nice and relaxing for me. A nice change of pace. With a little more work from the devs, this could turn out to be another "Big City Adventure" type game and go all over the world in time and places. I'm not sure this game is CE worthy, but I liked it and will put it in my puddle for now and see what kind of hot special we have for next weekend. I do not have an uncontrollable need to run out and buy the game to see where it is going, but I will buy it at some point in time.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews.
