I should preface this with the fact that I'm not very good at these games and always play them (and replay them) in casual mode. And I can play these and their sister Alice in Wonderland games over and over again without getting bored. They're relaxing, nice to look at and they have entertaining stories with characters that I like.
I'd recommend buying the CE version though, finding the totems is a lot of fun.
... and now I'm so excited and happy that I saw it on the list of top 10 PC downloads just now. I absolutely love these games, I can play them over and over again. Beautiful music, pretty puzzles with a wide variety of colors and they're just difficult enough to keep me involved without getting annoyed. I hope they continue making these for many years. I'll be sure to buy them.
I bought the third game and loved it so much that I went back and bought the first two. I don't normally like coloring games but this is so beautifully done and the music is so lovely that I'm hooked. These are a huge stress reliever and I highly recommend them all.
Yes, this is similar to a popular game series but it's not exactly a novel idea to begin with. That said, it's a very pleasant way to calm your mind during these stressful times. I'm enjoying it.
I ran into the same material shortage in the first scene mentioned in other reviews so I went back and repaired the arch before the columns and strangely, I had enough material to complete the episode. I kind of enjoy weird little kinks like this so that didn't bother me at all.
It's a cute game with good graphics, a fairly interesting story and smooth gameplay. I recommend this game.
I don't know what you'd call this genre but it's different than anything I've ever played. I don't enjoy "battle" games so I wasn't expecting to enjoy this but wowza, this game got under my skin and I can spend hours playing it. It's difficult but you can save the game at a certain point and if you mess up, return to the point you saved. I'm so glad I tried this, I'm having so much fun with it. Highly recommend.
This kept me absolutely enthralled for hours at a time which most games haven't managed to do for years. The puzzles weren't particularly hard although the jigsaws were challenging but the game isn't linear and it's easy to forget something and you have to backtrack to figure out what it was.
I would love to see the rest of the series remastered, it's a guaranteed buy for me.
Thanks for this, I had so much fun playing it again.
This is a great looking game and it's not a cookie cutter, run-of-the-mill HOG like we've been getting from the big developers so that was enough to intrigue me. The mechanics are different enough that I'm having to use the hint button more than usual till I get the flow of the game and yeah, some of the language is a bit stilted but I actually enjoy that part. It's different and a little rough around the edges and it feels like a breath of fresh air. Your mileage may vary but it's worth a trial play.
It's not really much different than the park ranger/cruise ship games in that they're mostly simple hunt and click but hoo boy, there's a LOT of dialog. The graphics are okay, the story might be interesting if you want to spend 50% of the game reading inane dialog and the game play is pretty standard hidden objects mixed with the usual puzzles. I would have been fine buying this as a standard edition game but I really don't think this is CE quality.
I think I'd call these more "strategy" than time management, some of the levels on the first game were incredibly challenging with many choices of route with very limited resources that made only one route possible. Definitely trial and error and a good memory are needed to solve the puzzle.
I like the soothing Autumn colors and the music, while repetitive, doesn't jar on the nerves like a lot of games do. There isn't much to the story but I like the rest of the game so much that I don't really care.
